In every group of heroes, or even friends, there is always the person who controls the balance of the scales. The middleman. The advocate. The negotiator. The voice of logic and reason. That's Macie. Her father has a reputation of being a solid rock. He may be a force to reckon with, but he has always been a symbol of peace. Her mother has always been forgiving and open-minded, and together the personalities blended into their daughter and shaped who she is today. Because of her diverse history, Macie is very Level-headed. She never walks into a situation blindly and she is always cautious. This helps her friendship with Kalena once she joins the suicide league because Lena is very compulsive and curious. 

May likes to be the voice who is always looking out for the 'little guy'. She has no interest in politics (unless it is environment or peace related!) and rather focus on the individual, not the population. She is very weary about her secret identity so she always remains organized. Every step she takes, she has the next five figured out beforehand. She is an excellent peacekeeper of the middleground and is really good at listening to others. Her organization and equality-driven attitude makes her a great communicator and decision maker. The team values her advice.

Every hero (and villain!) has their kryptonite (pun intended). Macie happens to be very controlling. Lay calls her a control freak all the time and she has admitted that her biggest phobia is chaos (the opposite of balance and order) and losing control. She hates anything that numbs her or knocks her out. She is still developing her powers so she is always scared of hurting someone. She mentally puts herself in check quite often, and just like her mind, everything around her has to be tidy and organized. 

Due to her phobias, May can become quite paranoid. She is always believeing that someone will figure out her identity and what others might think of her once they found out. When walking down a busy street or dark isolated alley, she is always looking over her shoulder and calculating every scenario that could possibly happen. Although this makes her a fantastic strategist, it can also be her downfull as she is susceptible to surprise attacks and acting in the moment.

​THE STORY
​Xing met CICI during her first year in college. She was tested into a upperclassmen chemistry class and they met during a review session for their final. Xing asked CICI for help so he wouldn't have to disrupt the teacher and they immediately became friends. He was amazed by her intellect and morals at first, and became rather curious after getting to know her. It didn't take long for him to fall for CICI but she made it clear that she can never be with anyone. Lay has never had a girlfriend before and is determined to make her see otherwise. She always uses excuses like "you don't wanna know", "if you saw the real me you would understand", or "i just cant, it would hurt too much". They have many things in common, and since Xing is a transfer student from china they can speak freely to each other in chinese. For the first year they were friends he had the option to go back to china for a better scholarship and Macie tried her hardest to make him leave. She thought it would be best and even tried tactics such as convincing or ignoring him. It drove them both crazy and he realized he could never leave the girl he loves. His parents found out the real reason why he didn't go back and started a current family feud. Daxia adores Yixing (she even lets him work at the restaurant to pay for college) and J'onn has since tried convincing macie that it is better to love than to not love at all.

​THE END
​Macie keeps blowing off yixing throughout the story and he thinks something is going on with her because of how exhausted she is becoming. They get into a fight to the point where he believes Macie is seeing someone and he follows her to the suicide league headquarters late one night where he finds out who she really is. The entire league thinks its a bad idea (except maybe like one member to balance it out?) and at then end macie learns to live selflessly and succumbs to their true love.
