My 1st One Ok Rock Concert Experience

Oh gosh. I don't even know where to begin with this!! I had so much fun!

{{Friday Morning}}

I had two classes Friday from 8:30am-10:30 and I had to be on my plane by noon, so I left my last class 30 minutes early just to make sure that I made it to the airport which was 30 minutes away + find my terminal + gate because I had no flown on a plane in 12+ years. So after having an anxiety attack while wandering around the Phoenix airport. I managed to find everything perfectly.

My friend was meeting me at LAX as she was coming in from Vegas.

1. I hate heights

2. I'm claustrophobic

3. I gained a good amount of weight

4. Plane seats are hella small

Thank God there was a lot of empty seats on my flight there so I could raise the arm rest to the middle seat and stretch myself out ;; I ended up getting plane-sick around the end of the trip from going through the rain clouds. (West Coast has been receiving a ton of rain. I was hoping to go to LA for some nice warm sun, but no)

Landed down in LAX, which I had no idea was SO DAMN HUGE. MAH GAWD. Thankfully my friend was flying in the same plane company so finding her terminal was really easy.

I found her and we went to track down an Uber to take us to our Airbnb, and holy it was like 50 degrees in LA. DAT.

50 minutes and we arrived at our AirBnb, we put our things down, relaxed a bit and then because we were starving our asses off, left to have Korean BBQ. So another Uber down to K-town. Left the Uber, and guess what I do?

I EAT WALKING 4 STEPS.

In front of my friend, my uber, and three damn cop cars. I went crashing down hard onto my knee and phone. Thank God my phone was just scratched up a bit, but I have a lovely big scab and a wounded ego. The cop rolled down his window, "You ok?" NO SIR. IM NOT OK. I JUST HURT MY PRIDE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE BECAUSE OF THESE UNEVEN SIDEWALKS.

Eat KBBQ. Notice our waiter was hella hot. Try and strike up convo. Have a good meal.

Decide to head back to Korea town Plaza, go to the Kpop store, browse, look around for munchies, walk to the closest boba shop, notice another hottie working, cry inside because I dont like in Ktown, get an uber back to the airbnb, relax and passed out around 9:30.

{{Saturday}}

Woke up at 4am.

Got ready

Left the airbnb with Uber

And stood in line with 15 other people for 12+ hours

The sun was out NICE AND BURNING HOT, I soon regretted my wish to have heat because eventually after baking in the sun for 12+ hours I had a damn sunburn on my pale skin. I was sweating, my hair was frizzing because my hair naturally curls. And I have VIP tickets which come with a perk to have a single photo op with OOR.

THUS looking like .

So, after waiting around 4pm, my friend and I start talking and I was like "Wouldn't it be cool if they pulled up right next to the curb?"

and like 20 minutes later, this SUV and a trailor behind it came up and some guy shuffled his way out of it, carefully making sure that no one saw inside, but we could definitely tell people were inside. Friend and I are being highly suspicious. Man reappears, slyly gets back into SUV, and they drive off.

Friend and I come up with theories.

Around 4pm, they start separating the lines kind of, and we end up befriending a Korean girl who just so happened to have moved to my state (Arizona) 3 months ago from Korea. I totally thought she was like 23- 25 but it turned out she was 18 and we talked about Japanese bands and Kpop and dramas and I eventually got her Twitter and her Kakao.

So HURRAY for befriending people~

Around 4:30, they make the VIP people leave the line to form a line on the OPPOSITE side of the arena for the photo ops. We noticed that the van from earlier was back there, thus comfirming that ONE OK ROCK was defintely parked in front of us while we were waiting in line. Eventually Toru is spotted by it talking for an interview and we were all like :0000000000 from  behind the fence.

The temperature was starting to drop rapidly and storm clouds were coming and I was beginning to start freezing and my feet were starting to hurt.

30 minutes later we were able to head inside and meet one ok rock.

OMG GUYS THEY ARE SO PERFECT!!!! Theyre so nice and BKJBAKJFBALBFAJBFSJBGLSJBGLSB!

I freaking love the drummer Tomo, and when it was my turn, I hugged them all invidually and we got a photo. OMG I WAS SO NERVOUS. Hated my picture indefinitely, so I covered my entire body with emojis' xD

We stood in line so the rest of people could do their photos. Then we were able to get the first dib to the arena floor because it was all pit. I got the front row in barracade!! CH'YEAH!!

I ended up being so squished, it was so painful. The Japanese ladies behind me were trying to morph into my back, and plus at the time I had my sweater so I was starting to get hot then general admission came in and the 2700 people came squishing in. THE PAAAAAAAIN~~~

One ok Rock had an opening band whose name I cant remember at the moment, but the bass guitarist was so damn fine, like a finer Adam Levigne. DAMN UGH. JKAHKABFABFJKBAKFB SO GOOD LOOKING

Hour passed,

One Ok Rock turned. so

It was literally just like I had imagined. Everything sounded so great live. I had everything streaming on my phone to FB, so now I can go back and watch it anytime ;A;

The crowd was killing me though. They were trying to hard to reach them and when goddamn Taka jumped onto the barricade and the crowd shifted, I almost fell like 3 times. Thank God this guy was like making this death grip barricade around his GF the entire concert or else I would have fallen, but he kept me from dying many times.

I was so close to them I could have touched them. The crowd got too jam packed and one girl had to be taken out because she couldn't breathe. I dont think I could have handled that being in the middle like that.

At the end of the concert, Tomo came out and tossed his drum sticks into the audience and the entire back audience behind me went TUMBLING down to the floor, like literally everyone. I clinged onto the barricade because I was going to get dragged down by the ladies behind me, WHICH PRIOR TO THAT, ONE OF THEM WAS GRABBING MY PONYTAIL. ~

After the concert, we went to Ktown again to the Tofu house and had some Soondubu and then back to the airbnb. I showered cuz I was SOAKED in sweat.

And we went to bed for 2 hours cuz we had to leave early for the airport. Fell asleep at midnight

{{Sunday}}

Woke up at 3am, got ready and dressed. Cleaned up the room and left the airbnb to the airport. My friend had to leave at like 6am and we were like passing out in the seats and I eventually let her sleep on my shoulder because she was going to fall over if she fell asleep again.

It was her turn to board, we hugged and departed.

I really hate saying goodbye to people because you never know if you'll see them again, so I got a little teary eyed. I went to my terminal for 3 hours. I ended up video chatting with my mom cuz I bored and this old couple in front of me was talking me so bad. I dont think they understood what I was doing xD

I went to my flight, it was completely full. I was squished. I HATED IT. I ended up falling asleep on the plane 3 times and when I woke up the third time, I was getting ready to hand back in Phx.

I left the airport and went to uber back to my dorm, noticed the uber charge was gonna be $35 and was like "NOOOOOPE" so I called my mom and made her drive me back to the dorm xD

Set my things down at the dorm, unpacked some things, set my alarm to nap 4 hours. I woke up 8 hours lateer. So from noon to 8pm, I slept. I woke up and forced myself to stay awake and then went back to bed around midnight to 7am.

Everything still feels like a dream to me. I have a hard time remembering concerts. All I remember was fighting to stay alive in the pit. The only memory besides the video footage and scab on my knee are that the underneath of my arms are so swollen and bruised from clinging to the barricade so that I didn't die in the pit.

Things that I definitely remember from the concert:

Tomo is so squishy and loveable and a badass drummer

Toru definitely looks better in person

Taka likes to ing jump on and fly around the stage like some fairy princess.

and Ryeota took off his shirt and has some damn abs. BOOOOI.

They are definitely a band that you go to and have a good time, but the moment you leave- you have withdraws from because it seemed like everything went by so damn fast.

I hope they come back to the States again soon because that was probably more fun than Kcon. Tickets were cheap, even for VIP. Definitely a lot cheaper than P1 seats at Kcon. I think I know where my money is going towards next time xD

Dont Sleep on One Ok Rock

If you haven't heard of them:

I suggest you listen to Taka's cover of Adele's Hello

and then listen to them together with songs like "Mightly Long Fall" "The beginning" "The Way Back" and tell me what you think!

In other news, I will start pumping out chapters again♥

I have one class tomorrow, then I am going to the gym for about 2 hours, and then do like 3 damn assignments, and then I will begin writing and posting ^^
