BACK UP FACE CLAIM Yoo Jungyeon (TWICE)
HEIGHT & WEIGHT 165 cm & 48 kg
APPEARANCE

— Chae is a very skinny looking girl and keeps her hair somewhere around shoulder length at all times. Chae tends to hug the comfort line in her clothing. Skirts and dresses only make an appearance for special occasions, very special occasions. Other than that, her wardrobe mostly consists of what one can consider "bad-" clothing, making her look more like maybe the rapper of a group instead of a dancer. At the company, she'll often just wear a "training" outfit even outside of the practice room which includes a sports bra or crop top, a snapback, leggings and something tied around her waist.

PERSONALITY TRAITS loving, passionate, outgoing, optimistic, quirky, can be clingy, speaks faster than she speaks, competitive, stubborn, sensitive

PERSONALITY

It's no secret that for the large majority of her life, Chaerim has been focused and deadset on dancing as it was her passion. Even though it was originally her mother's dream, Chae instantly caught on to her dance lessons and was learning exceptionally quickly. When she returned home from school, instantly, she would take her bike down to her mother's dance studio to practice in the mirrored room. It took up most of her freetime. It's not that it hurt her grades, but it didn't help her grades. But with the rest of her freetime, she always kept calm and studied what she could, knowing it might not be enough but kept optimistic that she could do it. And most of the time, she could. Once Tae got Chae to open up in school, it wasn't long until the other students began to happily accept her as apart of their school. All the teachers found her charming and adorable with how it seemed like she took after Taehyung, even though that was how she acted already. Virtually all of the students in her grade (and Tae's) became her friend. If they didn't come up to her and talk, she was more than happy to introduce herself. It wouldn't have been like that, however, if Tae hadn't said hi to her that first day.

Most would say that being a quick-thinker is a positive thing, but when it ends in jumbled up sentences because Chae's mouth goes faster than her mind, it never turned out well. Even though Korean is her mother tongue, it definitely seemed like she was a foreigner with how often her words didn't make sense or how she confused words for other ones. Again, when she was younger, people just saw it as cute. Though she never dropped it as she got older. She also never dropped her competitive attitude. When in school, during recess, someone would come up to her nearly everyday and ask to race her. Thats where it started. If she lost, even by a second, she would work to make sure she would win the next time. Soon, she was known as the girl who would win every race. People originally would think that her attitude in competitions was good, but sometimes when she lost, it would hurt her pride dramatically. Chae felt a need to win everything she was apart of, and sometimes it ended in accidental hurting of other's feelings. But once she found out she made them sad, Chae was very quick to say sorry and hug them. A hug wasn't always necessary, but she loved contact with other people and it was a cute/good excuse for a hug. With her frineds, Chaerim would often be seen hugging from behind, with her arms around someone or holding their hand. Depending on the person, they quickly grew tired of the clingy behaviour and sometimes would snap at her to mind her own space. It always caught Chae off-guard because 'why wouldn't someone want to hug her or hold her hand?' The words often hurt her more than they should've.

BACKGROUND

Born as Choi Chaerim on June 18th, 1996 in Incheon, South Korea as the daughter of a loving mother and father and the older sister of Jiyeon, a sister three years her junior. Their mother always had a passion for dance and, as a dance instructor, wanted to pass her passion onto her daughters. Jiyeon was quick to reject the life filled with practices and routines her mother began planning for her, but Chaerim accepted it with open arms. Not too long after she learned how to walk, Chaerim was well on her way to not only her mother's dream, but now her own quickly growing dream. Dance was what slowly began to take over her life, but in a good way.

Around the age of seven, Chaerim's father was offered a job opportunity that was hard to pass up, but it required the small family of four to pack up their life and move three hours away to Daegu. It took her parents awhile to talk it through, the pros and cons. Even at the young age of now eight. Chaerim knew everything that she - and her mother -  would have to give up by moving that far away. Even so, Chaerim's mother was excited for her husband and didn't want to hold him back from furthering his career, so the family ended up leaving for the city of Daegu. Chaerim's love for dance didn't die there however. With her mother's new dance studio being opened soon, it was like nothing had changed. Except for school, that is.

The school year had already began and all of the students already had their friend groups. Even if Chaerim wasn't a shy girl even in the slightly, the thought of being alone and in an unfamiliar place was beginning to freak her out. She was uncharacteristically quiet for the majority of her first day at school. Nobody really caught on to just how uncomfortable she was, the teachers brushing it off considering everyone was nervous at a new school. But one boy in particular noticed something wasn't right with her during recess and couldn't just walk away knowing something could be wrong. No, how could he ever do that? Kim Taehyung marched his way over to Chaerim. She refused to reply to him, though his pestering and persistent conversation slowly brought her to a smile. Tae wasn't leaving until she laughed. She did. Their talking and playing didn't stop there. Chae liked Tae, Tae liked Chae. They became close friends that year.

By the age of 14, Chaerim had discovered a website by the name of YouTube and, while her channel was originally created so she could comment on her favorite kpop MVs, ended up uploading a video of her dancing to SNSD's "Into the New World". As absolutely amazing as it would've been, no, her video didn't go viral. It didn't even get 1000 views, but it was more than enough for Chaerim's confidence to soar. Not much time had passed before she uploaded another dance video - this time to SISTAR's "Push Push". Slowly, more videos were uploaded and, slowly, more people subscribed to her channel. A fan base of nearly 80k grew by the time Chae turned 16 years old. Considering a lot of her subscribers were from America, it motivated Chaerim to learn English to be able to communicate with them. After that, even with her broken English, she was able to meet her best friend (other than Tae, who will always have a place in her heart) named Ellie who lived all the way in America. It was her, along with many other of Chae's subscribers, that finally motivated her into taking her potential career in dancing a step further. A talent show of sorts was being hosted in Daegu, and somehow they got Chae to audition and participate in the show. The people from her school in the audience weren't the only ones who were surprised by her talent, but so was a man who had come to watch and potentially scout. For what? For Cube Entertainment. And that man was quick to invite her to audition as he thought Chae had a great amount of potential. It was surprising to say the least.

Chaerim's sister, Tae, Ellie, and her other friends were all beyond excited for her opportunity to finally start the life she wanted, and not surprisingly, her mother cried tears of pride and happiness at the news. Chae's father had to speak for her when he told his daughter that she had both of their blessings to go to the audition.

RELATIONSHIPS

remplace with love interest 120*120  remplace with love interest 120*120
— Best Friend • Kim Taehyung | 21 | Idol | quirky, caring, sweet, loveable, exciteable, loud, childish, protective of Chaerim | like brother and sister

When Chaerim moved to Daegu, she began school, specifically the school that Kim Taehyung attended. He could practically feel just how nervous she was to be at that school, and she can confirm that she was, in fact, terrified. Of course, Tae being Tae, he couldn't let that happen, so he marched right up to her and introduced himself. He wouldn't let Chaerim leave until he got her to laugh. That's when their friendship started, and it just blossomed from their. Soon, Chaerim showed her true self, which was actually quite similar to Tae and his other friends. The two bonded over their love of music even from a young age.

remplace with love interest 120*120  remplace with love interest 120*120

— Best Friend Ellie Yoo | 18 | Dancer | (sometimes too) confident, loving, optimistic, determined, diligent, indecisive, | as close as they can be without being as close as Tae and Chae

Ellie originally stumbled upon Chaerim's videos when she was trying to learn the dance to "Lucifer" by SHINee and up popped a video posted by the user ChoiChae. It wasn't a tutorial nor was it mirrored, but something about it made Ellie click. Of course, afterwards, Ellie went on a binge of all of Chaerim's videos because, not in a cocky way, Ellie was surprised that she was as good as herself. Almost better even. She found Chae's twitter in the YouTube videos' description and tweeted at her, telling her how good she was. Somehow, that ended with them private messaging and talking about kpop and dance like they had been friends for years. Between Ellie's mediocre Korean and Chaerim's broken English, they somehow found a way to communicate despite the language barrier. (Faceclaim - Somi from I.O.I)

— Dormmate and Label Mate • Jeon Soyeon | 18 | Cube Trainee | cute, enegetic, sometimes insecure, determined, competitive

Soyeon was the one who made Chaerim come out of her shell just as Taehyung had years ago after Chae was nervous to be in a new place without anyone she knew. Their friendship was shortlived when Soyeon was chosen to go onto Produce 101 for Cube Ent., though Chaerim always made sure she watched every episode when it relased and voted for her friend. If Chae couldn't debut yet, she wanted someone so sweet to debut like Soyeon deserved.

— Younger Sister • Choi Jiyeon | High Schooler | over-thinker, witty, proud, hard-working, ambitious | not as close as they should be, but not "strangers"

With Chaerim always focused on her dancing and making it better, Jiyeon and her rarely had much one-on-one time considering Jiyeon was quick to dismiss her mother's want for her to become a dancer as well. Instead, she wants to work with photography and struggles with her mother's acceptance with that. Though her father and Chaerim approve of it and encourage her to go exploring for the beautiful pictures she's bound to take. Despite not having the most time to talk ever, the two sisters truly do love each other and would do virtually anything for one another. (Faceclaim - Eunha from GFriend)

— Father • Choi Jongin | Buisnessman | calm, proud, quiet, hard-worker, good at giving advice, stern and harsh when he needs to be | about as close as Jiyeon and Chae

Jongin, as a businessman, didn't actually work very close to where his family lived; therefore, he was always traveling for business. Coming home wasn't often, but it still happened. However, Chae was often practicing for the majority of his homecoming. But it didn't sit well with Chae that she could see her father, but she always chose to practice instead, so she made sure to facetime him with Jiyeon every Saturday and Tuesday even if only for a few minutes. His relationship with Jiyeon was much stronger than with Chae considering he worked for a magazine company and Jiyeon was a photographer so they could bond, but Chaerim didn't let that stop her from loving her father with all of her heart.

— Mother • Choi Sooyeon | Dance Instructor | passionate, determined, slightly controlling, likes to try to live through Chae, loving, prideful, confident | very close

Sooyeon was the one to introduce her daughters to the world of dance. It saddened her more than someone would've expected when Jiyeon pushed it away. However, when Chae jumped right in without hesitation, she couldn't describe the joy and pride that filled her. Especially when her daughter won the adorementioned talent show in Daegu for her dancing. The two of them were more often than not together in the studio, which aided in their relationship and bond. Sooyeon was the one to push Chae to do her very best, and she took very much after her mother's competitiveness. When Chae was given the opportunity to audition for Cube, she couldn't hold back her tears of joy, feeling like her daughter (and somehow her) finally made it.

STAGE NAME CC
PLOTLINE Bona (Mei Qi (if Mei Qi, her ethnicity can change))

TRAINEE LIFE & Predebut

Trainee for 4 years. Leaving her family for training wasn't as hard as Chae thought it'd be. Now that sounds horrible, but don't get her wrong, it was extremely hard, but not as hard as she predicted. What was really hard was leaving Taehyung. Without him there, it was very hard for her to open up during her first week or two as a trainee. Instead, she kept to herself in the practice room for the majority of the day and came back so late that she didn't have to talk to her dormmates. Soon, one of her dormmates noticed her being distant, and waited for her late one night. Like Tae had done many years ago, she wouldn't let her go to sleep until she made her smile. The girl's actions did the trick, and slowly, Chaerim opened up to the others at Cube. Though, Chae was sad to see her friend go when Soyeon was chosen to go Produce 101 and was slightly jealous that she didn't get to go. But she always cheered her on from the studio.

Hearing about Taehyung's debut in BTS made her want to debut someday soon grow stronger.

TALENT TWINS

— Vocal Twin : Sana | TWICE (Jihyo | TWICE)
— Dance Twin : Momo | TWICE (Chaeryeong | SIXTEEN)

POST DEBUT SCANDALS/ACTIVITIES?

— Some fans started to refer to her as Alien and 4D considering her actions much like they called Taehyung that, but it stung because Chae didn't see anything wrong with how she acted.

— Some were annoyed that she already had a fan base because of her YouTube channel and told her that that was the only reason she got to be in Cube. They say she doesn't have enough talent to be there.

LOVE INTEREST Park Jimin (BTS)
BACK UP LOVE INTEREST Vernon (Seventeen)

PERSONALITY

— optimitic about practically all situations, timid at times, competitive in his dancing and against his group members in general, kind and gentle to everyone he meets, considerate, smiley, sometimes insecure about himself, loyal in everyway possible, well-loved by fans and friends and even strangers

LOVE STORY

— Through Taehyung, Chaerim was able to meet the members of BTS. Instead of a crazy fan meeting idols, it was more like long lost friends, similiar to when Tae and Chae met when they were younger. The six other boys instantly loved her personality and the eight of them became good friends. One boy in particular really seemed to enjoy Chaerim's company, and vice versa. The boy was Park Jimin, and the two hit it off by talking about their mutual love of dance. Soon, it was like Tae and Chim were always facetiming or texting Chaerim when they had the time. Though they were all friends, Tae could tell that Jimin had a "thing" for his best friend and quickly became protective of her, sort of against their possible relationship. When Jimin goes to Cube Ent on his day off to hang out with Chae, Taehyung gets subconciously annoyed and mad at Jimin but Jimin doesn't understand why. Even though Chae is a pretty smart girl, she doesn't realize what exactly Jimin is doing aka falling for her. Nor does she realize just how it affects her best friend, Taehyung.

ENDING

— Since it's your story and all, you can choose how everything ends! I'd love for them to end up together, but if you'd like Tae to stay adamant that their relationship won't happen, that's okay. Though hopefully they can be really close friends still in the least! If you do choose to have them together, maybe it could include Jimin having to get Tae's blessing? Heh.

LAST COMMENT Helloo~! I'm super excited for this story even if Chaerim isn't one of the people chosen. I just love apply fics. And, if you can't tell, I love TWICE. Juust a bit. I hope it's okay that Ellie has a face claim too. Though, if someone else wants Somi as their own character's face claim, I'm happy to change it. and I was at first sorry for the length of my app but then I saw other people's and theirs were so much longer :w: I hope mine isn't lacking in detail and stuff. Also, sorry for no visual for her mother and father, I didn't know who to use heh. Thank you for reading all of this, and I can't wait for a review!

SCENE REQUETS

— Maybe the scene where Taehyung got annoyed with Jimin for liking his best friend?
— A "fan" snarkily commenting on her quirks and habits
— During an interview or variety show, she keeps tripping over her words during replies
