Okay I know this sounds ridiculous, but I kind of got hooked up on skating after watching Yuri on Ice, especially when I haven't learnt skating before. 

I want to try it out this Christmas, like take a few lessons or something (I haven't ask my parents yet because I'm scared they might disagree and the schedule's pretty packed for the festivals), but I'm not sure what kind of course I should take? 

Also, since I'm in my teens (just assume I'm between 13-16), I'm not sure if it's the suitable age to start skating since a friend of mine had started at the age of eight or so. 

Is it too strange to start skating at such a late age? I mean, I want to try, but I'm not sure if I'll like it...

Please somebody give me some advice > < 

(Plus I want to go to that VIXX concert in February so I don't want to waste my parents' money...yet)
