Where do you stand?

Recently, the former dictator of the Philippines, Ferdinand E. Marcos was buried in the Hereos’ Cemetery (Libingan ng mga Bayani) without the consensus of the Filipino locales. They say that this burial site is designated for the for deceased Philippine Presidents, national heroes, patriots, National Artists and National Scientists. Many argues that his burial must not be controversial since this burial site was intended for those who were a part of the Philippine military and Ferdinand Marcos was one when he was still in his prime. People, some Filipinos especially, argues that the youth who did not live under the rule of Martial Law doesn’t have the right to speak negatively of the Marcoses or the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos during Martial Law.

Well, let this btch tell something to y’all. off. It doesn’t mean that I did not live during the Martial Law I should not know or have the right and the duty to speak about it. Even if my family, or I in person, did not experience the Martial Law regime doesn’t mean that I have no rights of speaking about this matter. Why do people still talk about the Nazis? Why do people fcking hate Hitler? Why do we still talk about Diocletian and Nero and some of us hates them when they fcking lived during the Roman empire? They were the persecutors of Christians and they used them as scapegoats. The rule of Ferdinand Marcos had officially ended in 1986 which is more recent than Diocletian and Nero or the Nazis! Don't tell the millenials or those who did not experience the Martial Law regime that they have no rights to be a part of the rally or to speak about what they think during the Martial rule. We are all Filipinos and with that being said, we share the same fate, the same history. And if the millenials or the young thinks that something is wrong, hell yeah something is wrong. And I don't know, maybe, just maybe, we have this thing called the brain. Yeah, I figured maybe it wouldn't hurt if we used it. And oh, we also have feelings and for that we can be empathic.

Marcos apologists say that he deserves to be buried in the Heroes' Cemetery or the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) because he did his job efficiently. He constructed the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Folks Art Theater, Philippine International Convention Center, National Arts Center, Nayong Pilipino, People's Park in the Sky, Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and San Juanico Bridge. But, those were just some of the infrastructures that he had built. Infrastructures were never been highlighted as much as it had been during his term. Admittedly, the GDP of the Philippines had increased during his first term.

But that was only during his first term, in his succeeding terms, the GDP has been dropping. And please, don't tell me that the Filipinos are indebted because of the infrastructures that he has built. He is the Philippine president. It was his duty and it was his job. My grandparents paid taxes for those fcking pieces of sht that he has built. And give me a break, the CCP had only cost 16 Million but the price has ballooned up to ₱50 Million. Where do you think did these funds go? Oh, right his wife, Imelda Marcos' bags and shoes! Pardon my stupidity. :)))

I am not pro-Aquino. Please, don't include me in the war between these two lunatics. The Philippines debt should have been eradicated from the World Bank if Cory Aquino have just declared "Tabularasa" or the state of bankruptcy of one country after a revolution but she didn't. Every Marcos debt should've been paid if it wasn't for another stupid president. She was afraid to stand alone and not have the support from foreign investments and the World Bank. The Philippines wouldn't have and should have never been entitled to pay the Marcos' debts in the first place. Furthermore, there are a lot of controversies about the Aquinos too. They are the largest landowning families in my country, the Philippines. They have killed farmers who originally owned these acres of land territories to be able to own them. When these farmers were filing lawsuits against the Aquinos, guess who's the present? Tuhduh, no other than Cory Aquino! Do you think that they'll win? Furthermore, farmers and priests (who supported the farmers) were killed just so these Aquinos could take over the land. But guess what? This has never been publicized in the Philippines because the Aquinos also have shares in the media. They dominate the economy and they are part of that wealthiest 3% of the Philippines.

Yet, that's not the only case. Because the Marcos and the Aquino rift, the Marcos seeds, as I call them, or those Filipinos who were funded to study abroad were not supported to go back to the Philippines. They were the potential scientists that could've contributed to the Philippine technological advancements. But because of Cory Aquino's unprofessionalism, they were not supported in the Philippines just because Ferdinand Marcos had supported their education and where did they flee? To other countries of course and their innovations were utilized in those countries.

I don't want to be any other Filipino who constantly believes what the media says. To be honest, media is the easiest form of propagandas.
I do my research and I know where I stand. I don't easily bend no waver over the things that I hear.

The Philippines to be honest is the "Pearl of the Orient Sea". I am proud of my country and despite of being a small archipelago, my country is place as the second, after Indonesia, to have the largest biodiversity in the world. It's rich natural resources and culture has got everyone hooked. It's a pity that my country is led and is continuously led by incapable presidents. They build infrastructures and destroy natural resources of the Philippines in hopes of following the power of countries like America. But the geographical location of these countries are different! And their edges are different! I don't understand why Philippine politician constantly tries to eradicate agriculture in the country when in fact this is our edge among other countries! I know everyone knows how beautiful it is in the Philippines. And to be honest, I once lived in Palawan, the city where the underground river is and the unknown beaches in Palawan that only locales know of are the best. They have the bluest waters and you can see what's underneath your boat with your eyes. You can see fishes and coral reefs. That's how rich my country is! Workforce? Filipinos are known to be one of the most talented races, or so I believe. We have Charice Pempengco, Lani Misalucha, Lea Salong, Efren "Bata" Reyes, Manny Pacquiao, Michael Cinco, Franz Ontal, and other scientists, artists, writers, directors who are under the radar because of the lack of support from the Philippine government!

It's a pity.

The Philippines had always been rich.
