Vegas 12 USERS! HELP!

I've been trying to find solution in the web of what to do when your rendering gets stuck but mine is a different case. I haven't saved my veg file and while rendering my edited video it got stuck. My "cancel" button is not working either and I really need it by tomorrow. How can I save my .veg file or finish the rendering? I've been working for this video for 6 straight hours and it's pissing me off. I want to sleep BUT ARGH! IT JUST WON'T SAVE, DAMMIT.

If your rendering is stuck and the program locks up, there's not much you can do. You'll have to exit out of the program and reopen it. When it reopens, it should ask you if you want to open the unsaved project that just crashed. Open it and it will most likely have everything you edited up to when the program auto saved it. So, things will be missing and you'll have to redo part of it. :( That's all I know to do. Sorry..,
