face claim Park Sooyoung (Lizzy of After School).
back up face claim Oh Hyerin (Raina of After School).
height & weight 167 cm & 49 kg.
appearance

— Her weight has been fluctuating from a scary 43 kg to a healthy 55 kg throughout a year since her teenage years. Sometimes, she'll remain right in the middle. Other times, she'll be at her high or low point. After 2015, when Re-Play disbanded, she cut her hair to her shoulders and kept it short, leaving it a dark brown with some lighter highlights. In 2012 and 2013, when Re-Play was active, if untampered with by Sunkyu, her long hair was neatly kept trimmed to the middle of her back, and was a dirty blonde color most often than not. As for style, she has a simple girly sort of style, donning mini skirts and dresses (stockings in the Winter and Fall seasons to keep her legs slightly warmer than they would have been bare). She enjoys snug sweaters in the colder seasons and thin, long or short sleeved blouses in the warmer seasons. Simple, mono-colored heels are worn often, but sometimes she'll give her feet a break for ballet flats.

personality traits strong-willed, patient, honest, rigid, judgmental, obsequious.
personality

— For some, being strong-willed could perhaps be deemed something to look up to, to admire. For others, it's simply a kind way to say that someone is hard-headed or stubborn. And Mija seems to fall somewhere between the two. She's not often someone to be forced into something she doesn't want or doesn't believe in. She may not speak outwardly about her feelings towards something, but her actions will always show how willing or unwilling she is to do something. If one were to bring her a topic or idea that she doesn't have any interest in, doesn't have faith in, or merely doesn't like, it will be like trying to persuade a brick wall. It's not to say she will never budge, but it would take a hell of a lot just to get her to break down slightly. It's very possible this goes hand-in-hand with her rigidness, as well. This woman hates change. She always has, and most likely she always will. She's one of the most inflexible people there could ever be, which leads to her stubbornness. Adapting isn't in her DNA, so when something changes, it's almost as if she has to start over completely, from the beginning. If spoken honestly, change is something that terrifies her, but that's something she's not likely to admit, so she'll just hold her ground as long as she can before she is forced to actually go through with the change or new situation.

— On the bright side, Mija is one of the most patient people there are. Even if she were waiting for something for an unreasonable amount of time, she isn't likely to get upset about it or even show some sort of hint that she's becoming impatient. Maybe this is why she's grown to become a very stubborn person, because she's always waiting for things to get better or waiting for a new solution so things won't have to change. Not only has her patience been instilled in her since her youth, but it definitely helps make her more of a people-pleaser than she already is. There aren't many young people these days who shelter an obsequious mindset or personality, but Mija is complex in that even if she's being stubborn or unwilling to change, she will still want to please others. A service-oriented woman, Mija will try to please another person in any way she can that doesn't go against what she wants or believes in. And there's a certain brokenness that appears in people-pleasers when they can't...well, please. If Mija feels that somehow she's failed at pleasing those around her or if she feels like she's the reason something went wrong for someone else, her emotional stability becomes weaker. It's almost as if something inside of her snaps, causing her to place guilt solely on herself even if it's not her fault in the slightest bit. Either way, if it was her fault or not (which sometimes it will be with her stubbonness and honesty), the reaction will still be the same, and she will still feel like a failure.

— Honesty is another trait that can be perceived as both a good thing and a bad depending on when and where it's used. Unfortunately, Mija can't seem to distinguish these, so she will speak honestly no matter what the given situation. In her defense, she won't speak openly unless asked her thoughts or opinions on a given situation. Otherwise, she'd most likely keep her thoughts to herself in an effort not to say anything she shouldn't. However, Mija has never been the one to go to if one wanted to be lied to. In fact, it's probably best not to have Mija lie in any circumstance because guilt will end up eating her up whole, and the result will be worse than if she'd actually told the truth. At some point in childhood, she merely gave up lying altogether, figuring she wouldn't do so since she was so horrible at it, and she didn't want to feel the pain of guilt eat at her. Her honesty, though, her unwillingness to change, and her past experiences have hardened her to a point where she's become critical of others. It's a part of her personality that has recently come into the light, something that had never really made an appearance before the disbandment of Re-Play. In the past, she might have made excuses for the wrongdoings that people did, tried to make up some sort of backstory as to why someone would have to do something they shouldn't. Her mindset has been altered completely, and she won't even try to understand the other person's point of view when they do something wrong. In this aspect of life, she's rather unempathetic, judging without a second thought. Again, she isn't the type to voice it. Yet her behavior around the person she doesn't agree with would make it more than obvious that she doesn't like their decisions or actions.

— Before the age of 15, life was a constant blur for Mija, always constantly moving and changing. It was a rather uncomfortable time for her at such a young age, but she coped with everything through music. It was the one constant in her life, and it was always there for her. Her mother's sweet lullabies through infantry and her toddler years, the collection of Disney movies overflowing with jubilant and soft songs that kept her company when her parents were late at work and her nanny fell asleep, the countless musicals she'd begged and cried for during birthdays and Christmas. Her own voice, found before she could even walk, was something she always rather used for music than talking. Music was how she communicated. There was always a song to express how she felt, and she took advantage of that always, finding comfort in the gentle embrace of different genres and powerful lyrics. It was easy enough to have her parents agree to singing lessons or joining the theater club because it meant less time they'd have to pay for the nanny — they weren't rich after all, just stable enough to have a constant sitter raise their child while they worked.

— Delving into music at such a young age and living in the middle of Seoul, it wasn't hard to find the newly thriving K-Pop that clouded her generation. And just as much as she enjoyed the other dramas, she enjoyed this one. Too young to go to concerts and live shows on her own, she was glued to her television when the music programs were on, and she saved her humble allowance for only the best of the best albums to buy. Open auditions weren't something she found out about until seeing a long line flowing from a building she passed daily without a second thought. It was the late Winter of 2007, and she wasn't prepared to walk into an audition without a headshot or any music prepared, so she missed out on JYP Entertainment. However, after exchanging emails with a hopeful trainee in the line, Mija did her best to look out for more auditions. If she could get lead roles in the school musical and get complimented on by her vocal coach, why couldn't she get accepted as one of these trainees people were talking so much about? It wasn't until late summer of 2007 that she finally received the email she was waiting so earnestly for : SM Open Auditions.

— Needless to say, she had her nanny take countless homemade headshots until perfecting the art of a simple smile in front of a simple background, she prepared a song that she'd gotten nothing but praise on from her vocal coach, and she studied Boa's Valenti dance until she got it perfect, thankful to school musicals for teaching her to stay on beat when dancing. Mija wasn't doubtful she'd get in after all of her preparations — it was just another audition, but this time it wasn't in front of her school teachers. When accepted as a trainee, her parents didn't seem to mind any more than they did about the musicals and voice lessons. At any rate, it cost them less money, so they were happy. For three long years, Mija worked hard to sing better than the other trainees who wanted nothing more than to debut. She danced her best to each song given to her. Every picture she took, she did so with as much poise and percision as the shoot allowed. It was only when she was 18, three years later, that SM debuted her in SM the Ballad. Proudly, she was the only female member in the beginning, and in November of 2010, she was released on the debut album singing in three separate tracks with the other members of the company sub-unit. Mija was sure that afterwards, she and fellow trainee Jinho would be allowed to debut, but both were denied the chance for two full years, allowing other SM trainees debut spots ahead of them. It was late 2012 when Mija was contacted by a smaller company, interested in her vocal abilities.

— After endless discussions with close friend Jinho, her SM manager, and Sunday PDs, Mija made the hard decision not to sign her renewal contract with SM Entertainment, leaving behind the place she'd known for almost six years in return for something completely different.

— In 2014, after The Actress hurt herself, things were bleak for Mija once again. This time, though, she not only had herself to think about but the other three girls she'd grown close to through training, debut, and promotions. However, it seemed like decisions were not hers to make as she was sent to other companies for work on Sunday's behalf, lending her vocal abilities and the skills she'd learned to harnass new, young talent that was more promising than apparently she and the other girls of Re-Play were. She hated change, and so from the several companies that she was working as a vocal coach for, she asked to be a consistent coach for one company alone. The options were abysmal, and so she went trudgingly back into the cold arms of SM Entertainment, harnassing the voice of upcoming girl group, Red Velvet. In 2015, when Re-Play officially disbanded and Sunday let the girls go, Mija found herself completely within SM's hold once more. Not only was she still practicing with the flourishing and popular Red Velvet — girls she'd once trained with in the past — but now she was training the boys who would become SM Rookies and eventually NCT. A bleak past and a bleak future. But she didn't like change, so she let herself get stuck in this rut. As usual, the only thing to keep her balanced and emotional strong was being around music.

relationships

— close friend • Jo Jinho / 24 / (2013) SM trainee, (2014-2016) Cube trainee, (2016) Pentagon member / dedicated, stubborn, & charming / 5
Two peas in a pod, they act alike...a lot a like. Their schedules conflict often, but supporting texts, funny SNS messages sharing memes, and sometimes catching dinner and a movie make up their relationship.

— former manager • Park Yeonwoo / 26 / (formally) Sunday manager, (2016) JYP manager / awkward, introverted, & too nice / (formally) 5, (2016) 3
Despite his awkwardness, he was always someone Mija looked up to and wanted to please. In 2016, she does her best to avoid him because she feels personally responsible for letting him down after the disbandment of Re-Play.

— former coordinator • Im Sunkyu / 28 / (formally) stylist, (2016) housewife(?) / vivacious & outspoken / (formally) 4, (2016) 2

Sunkyu was one of the only people who could willingly change Mija's mind without any stubbornness. That was how much the girl respected Sunkyu's opinion. She's tried numerous times to contact Sunkyu, but plans always seem to fall through.

Plotline The Performer

Prior Experience

— Between the years of 2000 and 2007, Mija was a prominent theater club member in her school with weekly voice lessons. Between 2007 and 2010, she was a trainee with SM Entertainment. In 2010, she debuted in SM the Ballad, singing on 3 of the 6 songs the mini album featured. In 2011-2012, she was put into a waiting period of training again.

Why do they want to be an idol?

— "It's not that I want to be an idol per se... It's more that I want to be surrounded by music. I could be doing something else, sure. But this is what found me first. I've put a lot into this, and there's no reason to change it."

If they could change anything, what would they choose?

— "I... Everything happens for a reason... I'm not a fan of change, honestly. But if the only big change that happened in 2013 was that we were able to continue as Re-Play, I'd be happy. Happier than I am now."

What price are they willing to pay for this chance?

— "I'd... I'd give up my job at SM. My stable, steady paying job... I'd give it up."

personality

— composed, ambitious, & calm.

love story

— It's very possibly that Myungjun doesn't even know about Mija's school girl crush, at least that's probably what the other girls called it. It was impractical, honestly. He was the CEO's son, several years older, and nobody could really see the appeal he had on her. Though it was quite obvious to those who knew Mija well. In all honesty, she'd probably follow this man through Hell if it meant him noticing her. She's always been taken with him, since the beginning. Things only worsened for her heart when he became protective of the girls, trying to make herself realize that it was an impossible one-sided love. To no avail. Even in 2016, amongst blind dates and flirting with other men, her heart still belongs to Myungjun, who she hasn't seen or heard from since 2015. She is the type to stand firmly by his side, not saying much but supporting him and trying to please him in any way she can.
