Seo Kinam (born 11 08, 1996), better known by the stage name KiKu, is a Korean lead vocalist, lead dancer. He is a member of the South Korean boy group DaKINGS. He grew up in Damyong-gun, and is fluent in Korean. Seo Kinam is notably known for looking like Hyungwon (MONSTA X) or even sometimes Youngmin (Boyfriend).

there's not much difference from kinam and his face claim, honestly. as far as facial appearances go, he's the spitting image of hyungwon. as far as hair goes, when untampered with by stylists, he leaves his bed head just the way he found it when he was woken up. and if untampered with by stylists, it's most likely to be jet black since he has no real interest in dying it. so for the most part, his hair looks like this or this on the daily. he has a small tattoo on his right shoulder.

being born and raised in damyong county to two county officials, kinam was very well known in his small village and many of the surrounding villages. there was always eyes on him, waiting for him to mess up or ruin his parents' good name. other than skipping classes when he got bored, he didn't cause much trouble. he grew a pretty good following of his classmates who often trailed after him when he went on his little adventures as a child. there was no getting rid of them really, so he didn't try to. he just didn't really speak and continued on doing whatever it was he was going.
music was something kinam found on his own, neither parent showing any particular interest in it. he was close to his music teacher in primary school after joining the chorus as something to do between classes and after school. even when there was no chorus, he spent the majority of his free time (and class time, if he didn't want to go to class) in the music room. when at home, he listened to music channels instead of watching cartoons and he searched songs instead of video games and . his parents were never bothered by his interest and showed support when he had the lead in the school musical or led a song in chorus. it wasn't until 2009 that he'd officially asked to audition for an entertainment company. being the politicians they were, they struck their son a deal. if he managed to raise his own money to get to seoul, he could audition. in reality, they just wanted to see how badly he wanted it. fortunately for kinam, he was very well-known in school and in the county, and it didn't take much. he gathered help from his following of classmates to set up small stages and such for people to hear him sing and raised enough money to pay for his ticket and his parents' tickets to seoul.

hummingbird entertainment was the third company he auditioned for and the second to accept him. for each company, he sang the same song and danced the same dance(blonde). loen entertainment turned him down and core contents media (now mbk ent.) accepted him, but he went with hummingbird because of a 13-year-old gut feeling. just as he did in school, kinam studied quietly what he felt like studying. he was suggested rapping lessons because of his smooth voice, but he asked not to do so. instead, he was made to dance 'right' instead of his infamous 'lazy dancing', so he was put into some dancing lessons. singing was what he focused on most after harrassing the company's management about his lesson schedule. piano lessons were something that were allowed to him after his dancing improved, which it did quickly (after all, it wasn't that he couldn't dance). as for friends, that happened slowly and only with those that he liked. it didn't take much to gain a following in the small ent. company, but he found himself drawn more to nico's shadow than anything else, not wanting to be followed around again.

m!countdown/inkigayo/music core stage is probably that best way for someone to meet kinam since he isn't an easy person to talk to. well...he's easy to talk to, but he won't talk back. in this case, let's say he doesn't, but he'll end up being a good listener backstage, listening intently to the other talk about debut/comeback problems (without saying anything in return). maybe he'll pass along his number or something, finally saying that they can exchange texts whenever the other is feeling down or stressed.

since it's only been a short while (for yuto) since they met, kinam probably still won't say much, but he'll most likely be seen fanboying for the other or showing his liking for the other by sending texts, pats on the backs, answering calls to listen to vents even if he won't talk, or even just offering a smile.
