■  chan ihan is a mix between the village idiot, the social pariah, and the boy-next-door. mostly the village idiot, though. 

■ his mom always told him to be honest, and as a Mama's Boy™ he took those words to heart. as a result, chan ihan just blabbers whatever is on his mind, and he has no filter whatsoever. he highly values honesty, and, as a result, is too honest. it's probably the reason why he only has four friends, one of them being, you guessed it, his mother.

■ gullible as heck. he's reckless and always charges into things head-first, a very 'ask questions later' type of person who only regrets 90% of the he does after he does them. his older sister has succeeded in still making him, a sixteen year-old, believe that the 'nightmare before christmas' was based on real life events.

■ brave to the point of idiocy. he would do stupid for the vine, has done stupid for the vine, and will continue to do stupid for the vine. (stupid isn't an exaggeration, he was rushed to the ER at one point of his life for doing... said... stupid wow that is a lot of stupid s.)

■ open-minded but at the same time, simple-minded. ihan isn't the brightest person out there, but he's open to a lot of things, and is a very accepting person as a result. that's probably his selling point (if he was a product) as to why he even has friends. ihan is genuinely a kind person, it's just that his lack of a filter and his outer mannerisms tend to give the wrong idea.

■ as childish as he seems, he has a surprisingly mature outlook on life, although it's easier to search for yo mama jokes in the year of 2016 than to dig up his maturity. 

■ the first thing ihan does in the morning (no specific time for him to arise from his slumber, as his sleeping pattern is messy and untrackable) is to check his phone for any new messages from his (only) group message with his two best friends; if there are any, he ignores the new messages, and if there aren't, he locks his phone and places it inside his school bag (or back on his desk on holidays) to ensure he won't forget. he eats breakfast on his way to school (which is unhealthy, as he has been previously scolded not to eat while standing, especially walking, but it's not like he really cares), and spends his time during classes napping or sketching on his textbooks and notebooks. every school day, he eats his lunch outside school with his two friends, and sometimes play hooky after lunch if he feels like it. after school, he doesn't go home immediately, and instead prefers to hang out at the grocery stores because he likes to play with the carts. at home, you can find him drawing (surprisingly he's slightly talented) or watching back-to-back naruto episodes. (uzumaki naruto is his role model.) except on fridays. on friday, he has his weekly dancing lessons, essentially the only extra-curricular thing he has on his plate. #ripcollegeapplications.

 

■ ihan is dyslexic, but his family (read: his mother, as his parents divorced when he was young, leaving him with only his mother and older sister) doesn't have the money to afford treatments. his mother is a grocery store clerk, his older sister is now in college (on a scholarship) and ihan's just trying to wing it the best he can. his dyslexia is the main reason for his lack of participation in class, and the teachers know of his condition, but at the same time they don't really know how to motivate him either.

・ not many of his acquaintances nor friends know about his condition. he doesn't really talk about it, and as a result, most people assume he does terribly in school simply because of his laziness, which is accurate, but only partly.

■ some of his favourite anime include: naruto, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, hunter x hunter, and boku no hero academia.
■ his favourite movie genre is comedy, and his least favourite genre is horror.
■ although he takes general dance classes, his favourite dance is traditional dance.
■ art's one of his passions, and drawing's probably the only thing his confident in. he'd post up his work online but he legit has little clue how to use the internet. the only thing he knows how to use is kissanime.
■ doesn't really care much for music?? yeah he listens to it sometimes but he's more about painting and drawing rather than... the tunes.
■ he's scared of ghosts and horror things in general, but the thing he's most scared of is his mother when she's angry. to him, that's the definition of a nightmare.
■ committment terrifies him. that's probably the main reason why he pales at the very mention of relationships. "hey ihan have you thought about getting a girlfriend?" "... *slinks away*"
■ a dog person.
■ a habit of his when he's nervous is scratching behind his left ear.
■ signed up for the art club but never comes to meetings. if he does come, it's only like, once every semester.
■ other than dancing, ihan doesn't exercise. that's probably why he's mostly skin and bones with only slightly lean muscle.
