~AFF~

1. First fic you ever read on AFF

Pretty sure it was the fic Office Antics. It was utterly hilarious and I loved it, even if it has been discontinued. 

2. Favourite AFF author and favourite Korean idol that has inspired you

I like many authors, so it's a tough choice! Recently I've been reading mainly stuff by Korekrypta and taelighted. As for inspiration - like life inspiration or artistic inspiration (gosh, how pretentious sounding)? For the latter, I can say that really, anything and everything can be inspiration to me. KPop is a big inspiration to me in a way. For the former, I'd say all idols that work immensely hard, and who are immensely kind, inspire me. If I could be even half as hard-working and caring as they are, I'd think I've led a pretty decent life. 

3. All-time favourite fic

If you know me, you know I at picking favourites. I adore The Blood Brother Code and Embrace the Thumbnail Moon, both written by friends of mine, and the one-shots Furry Little Problem and Asininty are ones I go back and read often. I'd say a fic I really, really love and wish was complete though is What Family Means. It's one of the scores of Suju fics that lie unfinished on AFF, and one of the few that really got that the whole family dynamic is really what makes the group so loveable, but it sadly looks like it's been discontinued. Still a lovely read though. I wanted to reach in and hug most of the characters. 

4. Who was your ultimate bias when you joined AFF and who is it now? 

Pretty sure it was Chen, but I was already becoming a massive Shawol and ELF by that point (and EXO was losing members and that was making me rather unhappy), and then it switched to Taemin, and then it became this guy and has stayed since:

5. Is there a friend you have made on AFF through a fic? 

Well, basically all my friends on AFF? You guys know who you are, but in particular, Korekrypta, taelighted, emchan, JungMichan, baramtokki, Bapcheesecake and Blossomgalz. 

6. Two fics that you're currently hooked on? 

I've been so busy and haven't been reading as widely on AFF as of late, but I've been following Run A Little Faster and Rogue since they're winding towards their es. Recommend me anything if you think I should be reading it! 

7. Which fic that you have authored is YOUR favourite, and if you're not an author, is there a fic that you are looking forward to being released? 

Definitely not any of the fics that seem to be liked by people, by I'm really fond of In The Wind and All Delighted People. The first one was the very first fic I published here, and it's one of the few pieces I've ever written that I really felt completely and utterly content with; it was exactly what I wanted to express. The second I wrote for a competition at a time when I was going through a lot, and writing it was a healing process for me. It's flawed, but writing it really helped me in a lot of ways and it's very precious to me. 

8. Favourite AU to read? 

Ooh...tough. I personally love science-fiction AUs (especially anything set in space), fantasy AUs (usually magic, and with lots of world-building), retro-future AUs, AUs set in the 20th century (especially the 20s, 30s, and 70s and 80s), band AUs (as in everyone is playing instruments), spy AUs, and I live for good, beautifully done slice-of-life stories. I really enjoy anything with a strong emphasis on characters and their relationships and issues. 

9. Are you a commenter or a silent reader?

Depends on the fic - and tbh whether the author seems nice - but if I enjoy it, I try and give my feedback and constructive criticism. 

10. in your opinion, should AFF/KPop life be kept separate from your daily life? 

For me, I'm open on the Internet that I like KPop, because the people I interact with online like KPop too. In real life? Depends on the person. If the person likes KPop, sure, why not. But if they either hate it or think it's stupid/dumb/etc, then no, I'm not going to mention it. I honestly prefer being unapologetic about it, but some people are very judgmental sadly. You do what suits you. 

I'm typing autumn because I'm a rebel >:D Also, this year, I experienced autumn for the first time in my life! Yay!

2. Favourite autumn scent

The smell of crushed leaves underfoot. The smell of the earth after rain when you go outside. The smell of my sweaters and scarves that I brought in my suitcase all the way here, when I take them out of the cupboard. The smell of hot chocolate and apples. The smell of my sunny room when nobody else in my flat is around. And that brisk indescribable autumn scent. 

3. Favourite Thanksgiving/autumn food & autumn food you don't like 

I've never celebrated Thanksgiving (yet), and I'm not sure what exactly would be an autumn food but...I like pie? Pie is nice, and feels warm and home-y. I think potatoes are eaten a lot around this time of year, and I don't really like potatoes much at all. Great for my waistline though, but sad for me when I find that potatoes are being served yet again...

4. Favourite Halloween costume you've worn 

Halloween was not really celebrated where I'm from at all - aside from people going to parties or clubbing - so I've never dressed-up before, but I really want to try this year. I've always wanted to try dressing up as a pirate or like a vampire hunter/occult hunter or something. Please give this ignorant non-American some suggestions on good budget Halloween outfits

5. Favourite autumn hobby

I never had any because there was nothing special about this time of year (other than needing to study for exams!). Now that I'm in a place where there are four seasons, I can't think of any hobby I've made except taking walks through the trees a lot. That's always fun. 

6. Favourite coffee (or just plain drink) you like in the fall 

Definitely hot chocolate! I am in love with chocolate, and hot chocolate as I curl up by the window and watch everyone down below? Perfection. 

7. Favourite clothing item to wear in autumn 

Look, I'm a bubble-head. I love clothes. Autumn is like a chance for me to wear so much stuff I couldn't wear in my tropical paradise home. So, trying to be succinct: I adore cute over-sized sweaters that give me sweater paws, soft and/or over-sized button-up shirts, bomber jackets, over-the-knee or thigh-high socks paired with denim, black, or white mini-skirts or mini-shorts (I hate wearing pants; dresses, mini-skirts and mini-shorts are my thing), sheer tights, ankle boots, chokers and simple earrings, my fashion glasses, and my scarf with little foxes on it. I also tend to wear my hair in buns and braids during autumn. I would kill to have more cute dresses and higher boots - but so many boots have heels and I can't stand heels. 

I just like designing outfits okay; forgive me. 

8. Favourite autumn-oriented colour 

Wine colours are beautiful, and I also like the deep reds of flannels, the burnt oranges of the leaves. Also the bright blue of the autumn sky, and whites, blacks and greys, which I associate with autumn. I like the elegance of autumn colours. They seem so smooth. 

9. Favourite autumn-oriented weather

I love when it's not too cold, but definitely crisp and nice and breezy. I also like when the sky is this impossibly bright blue with hardly any clouds and it's just absolutely amazing to look at; you feel like you're going to fall into the sky. 

10. Something you want to buy that comes out this year during autumn

Boots? And a pumpkin, because I want to try to carve pumpkins (hopefully without either destroying it or cutting off my own hand)!
