“It’s just that the surface is easy. Telling people what they want to hear and pretending to know what they’re going through is a piece of cake but going deep, feeling everything fully is another story. It’s like diving in a unknown ocean; you don’t feel confident about your abilities so you want to stay close to the river but you need to jump somehow or you’ll never move. And being stuck is fine for a while but then it gets too tight and you need to break free from that cage you lock yourself in. So that’s writing do to me, unlocks me and my demons."
