So I logged into AFF today & discovered something that I almost missed:

It's my sixth year AFF anniversary!

Honestly, there have been times when I thought that I should leave AFF because I'm not as active in writing as I used to be.  It saddens me to hear that many of my favorite authors & friends aren't active on AFF anymore because they have real life to get back to, but I understand, since real life is catching up to me (quickly) as well.  When I joined AFF, I was thirteen, and now I'm nineteen haha.

The reason why I come back is because AFF is a very comfortable place for me, and it's a place where I've met so many great people.  I learned to improve my writing in a way that made it a fun challenge (I used to despise writing & could barely string sentences together with proper grammar lol).  As a result, I work at my university's writing center now, and I help students with their writing.

It was the AFF community that encouraged me to keep on writing, and I think that even though AFF has evolved from the "old" days (I still can't figure out layouts for the life of me), the sense of community that brought me here is still going strong ^-^

I'm really thankful for all of the support I've received over the years, and I hope to be blogging about my 7th year anniversary next year hehe.
