PERSONALITY TRAITS : "Beauty Queens are given a bad rep. We're not all bad." Adventurous, Debonair, Forgiving, Intuitive, Expressive, Playful :: ESTP :: Amibitious, Dominating, Flirtatious, Noncommittal, Opinionated, Spoiled.

PERSONALITY :　Ji-u is that over-used, typical Beauty Queen cheerleader stereotype in the films, with the little detail of actually being fleshed out and not quite the stereotype. Of course, that doesn't mean she hasn't got the typical traits of the Beauty Queen. Ji-u is adventurous and a people person, liking the thrill of taking risks and having fun with friends. "Debonair" is a word that encompasses her personality, she's confident, she's stylish, she's charming, and she knows it and uses it well. While most would think that someone like her would be petty and hold grudges, Ji-u's actually the most forgiving person you could possibly meet. She believes that everyone deserves another chance and should be able to prove themselves. That being said, Ji-u greatly depends on her instincts and is strongly attuned to them. She trusts her gut over her heart, which comes in handy if someone ever tries to take advantage of her forgiving nature. Ji-u is very expressive, and it's hard for her to lie and someone not be able to tell, or really any kind of emotions that pass through her face. She's not one to suppress her emotions, having known what it's like to do that. Ji-u is very playful alongside this, and loves to play with her fellow members in both squads (some more than others, hehehe) and can keep up with the "youngsters" of the group.

Most people would label 'amibitious' as a positive trait, having the courage and aptitude to pursue your dreams. In Ji-u's case, it's not the same. Ambition is definitely not her friend, her ambition sort of... controls her. When she finds her goal, she pursues and chases after it until she achieves it, putting all else aside and it can push her to an unhealthy regimine. She also has a very strong dominant streak, and will not take a back seat to anything. She takes charge and likes being in charge of pretty much anything, even if she's not the best choice. Ji-u's is most definitely a flirt, and she honestly doesn't see what makes it so wrong. She loves getting people riled up, a little flustered, seeing what gets them that way. This doesn't make her one for commitment, actually, the concept of being tyed down to one person exclusively isn't exactly her idea of fun at the moment. She's actually really not commited to a lot of things, due to her controlling amibition that could push her to a bad place. Ji-u has a lot of opinions and she will make sure that she is heard. Even if it's not quite the time or place. Ji-u just feels very strongly, and wants to let it be heard and expressed, regardless of what others think. It gets her into trouble, and if she's not careful, it could get others into trouble as well. It's no secret that the girl is spoiled in any way, shape, or form. She's quite used to this luxurious lifestyle and getting what she wants. She can be a little (lot) difficult if she does not get her way the first time around. 

BACKGROUND :　Ji-u was born into fame and the spotlight, quite literally. With her mom being a Beauty Queen-turned-Actress, and a Director, it was hard not to grow up in the spotlight. So, her life was greatly influenced by that, making her childhood hardly normal. 
For as long as Ji-u can remember, she was in pageants. The glitz, the glamour, and all of the suffocating hairspray. As her mother's daughter, the public expected her to follow in her mother's footsteps, eventually winning Miss Korea's title and moving on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. As much as she loved having attention put on her, the stress of this attention had several negative repercussions; with her amibition to exceed everyone's expectations, she made several bad decisions; she needed to be skinnier than her mother was, she needed to have everything bigger and better, and it got to the point where during a vitial qualifiying competition, she fainted and was rushed to the hospital. She was told to stay away from pageants and to focus on getting her health back, maybe even going abroad for her studies and her health.
Before she left, Ji-u found music as an outlet. She'd always have her earphones in, content and even softly singing along to the popular songs she had learned, even following her brother around who loved music so much. Ji-u always felt like she was encroaching on something that was very private and personal to Byeong-ho, and tried to limit her interactions with him during his practice. 
She arrived and studied in Portland, Oregon, all the while staying with a family friend (who just so happened to be a nurse so her health could be looked after properly). This is where she really found music, and then, dance. At her new school, she was lured in by the music of the dance club after hours, and immediately fell in love. The power, the control they had over their movements, and more importantly to Ji-u, their bodies, was beautiful to her, and she signed up, and found the expression of feeling she could use through dance and music was beautiful.
Upon returning to Korea, she also joined a dance team in her town, wanting to continue. Her health had never been better, and she was truly happy and made a point to express her feelings not only through dance, but with her words and everything as well. She returned to the stage, not as Miss Korea's daughter, but as Ji-u the dancer. She was approached by two entertainment companies after a competition one day, Fantagio and KS Entertainment. After discussing it with her family, she decided to go into KS Entertainment.

▸ Likes:
- Coffee; Caffeine helps wake her up, and she's in LOVE with iced caramel maccahiatos. 
- Glitter; She genuinely loves sparkly things, especially jewelry and nailart.
- Banila B; This is her FAVORITE brand of clothing, she wants this brand to sponsor her so she can wear the latest trends at all times. (Also NandaStyle, an online store.)
- Moomin; The little Finnish creatures have wormed her way into her heart, and she keeps a collection of ever growing toys, trinkets, and the like. 
- LotteWorld; AMUSEMENT PARKS. She loves amusement parks, especially LotteWorld. She always wants to go either here or the mall on their days off.
▸ Dislikes:
- Hospitals; For obvious reasons, she gets flashbacks of her time back when she was younger whenever the hospital is mentioned.
- Dispatch; Another obvious one, she has a lot of negative feelings towards gossip outlets and the like. It's very hurtful.
- Salt; She feels like her tongue is burning whenever she eats somethign too salty.
- Romance; Not exactly a fan of "true love", honestly. She doesn't really believe a man could sweep her off her feet.
- Social Media; She just CAN'T get into it. She loves taking selcas, but upkeeping multiple media outlets? Sorry, not her thing.
▸ Habbits:
- Twisting her hair; Whenever she's nervous or thinking of uncomfortable situations, her hair is around her fingers.
- Clenching fists; She does this when she's irritated or upset. 
- Bounce; She does this no matter where she is, really. In her chair, waiting in line, standing, lounging, heck she might even do it in her sleep, she doesn't know.
- Eyebrows; A very important part of her facial expressions, they can do incredible things individually and together.
▸ Hobbies:
- SelfCare; Facemasks, salon/spa days, nail art, anything that takes care of her body and makes her feel beautiful is something that she will definitely do regularly.
- Horoscopes; She LOVES compatibility and reading the weekly horoscope, while she doesn't necessarily believe in it, she does see some truth in personalities.
- Online Shopping; Because she's worth it. Of course she needed that crop top, and then of course she had to get that skirt that went with it as well as those cute heels that matched -- as it goes.
- Watching Soccer; It's a fun sport to watch, but she refuses to play because she doesn't want to be dirty. 
- Origami; Hiro taught her when they were trainees, and she finds it so interesting and stress relieving.
▸ Other:
- She can't sleep without cuddling something and she won't let go ever... So no one wants to share a bed with her. Ever.
- Collects cute stationary to write on, especially Moomin themed things.
- Loves Peach Beer; she's quiet about certain habits like drinking to the public, but the members can attest that she won't drink any kind of alcohol that isn't peach flavoured.
- Her ideal type? "Someone who I can look at and say with confidence 'Out of the 7.1 billion people in the world, I only want to look at you.'" (In reality, she thinks that line is cheesy and doesn't believe anyone will make her think or say that.)

- Was privately tutored in South Korea until the age of 15 (when hospitialized); returned to the country at 17 and entered private school before becoming a trainee.

RELATIONSHIPS :　

▸ Mom — Oh Hyun-kyung (46) / Former Miss Korea, Actress / vain, quick-witted, jaded, hard working. / 6 out of 10
After Ji-u quit the pageant world, their relationship (which was shakily built at best) was destroyed while Ji-u recovered. Honestly, Hyun-kyung coudl tell that it was her fault, she pushed her daughter into the world that she was from, without considering the repercussions. Hyun-kyung sent her daughter out to America for her own protection, not wanting her to suffer as she did during her own scandal (Oh Hyun-kyung was an actual Miss Korea winner, who had a tape scandal which caused her to live in the U.S. for a while -- I adjusted it a bit to fit with Ji-u, I hope that's okay!) and hopes that her return to the stage, although different, will be more successful. 

▸ Brother — Moon Byeong-ho (25) / Musical Actor / quiet, wise, confident, determined / 8 out of 10
Byeong-ho took the path of an actor, but loved music more than anything, sharing it with his sister as much as he could with their hectic schedules. When she was hospitalized/abroad, he was always trying to talk to her, checking in, asking how she was doing. He's so proud of his sister, and he's a musical actor under Fantagio Ent. He just praises her so much and she looks up to him so much. His happiness in his career and in music is something she craves to have so much, and so far she's found it in dancing, and soon to be idol career.

Hiro is her second brother, or her "oppa"as she delightfully calls him (he hates it). They entered the company at the same time, and when she found out he played guitar, she was immediately drawn to him, reminding her of her brother and the days she'd sit and listen to him play and sing, and Hiro was just happy to have a friend. They see each other as platonic soulmates or kindred souls, and will seek each other out when they're feeling down.

Bonnie was her friend back in Portland that she made. She introduced her to the dancing life, and she's so thankful that she has someone, even if they're far away. Nyx always brags about her lovely friend and how much she adores her, and that she'll bring her to South Korea one day and "She'll steal the hearts of EVERYONE, just you wait." Bonnie helped her out of her darkest time, and since she's seen Nyx at her worst, this girl is determined to show Bonnie what she's like at her best.

Listen, when Ji-u first met Wangja, she was like "oh cutie how adorable--" and then he danced and was personally offended on how rude he was, like how dare he. You can be cute or hot, you can't be both. Ji-u wants to be his friend (coughsomethingmorejustsayingcough) but since she's older, she's kinda afraid he'd just see her as an overprotective noona. Honestly, it's not that obvious she has a crush on him though -- she really is like a noona / friend to him, but that doesn't mean that under the surface she doesn't want more sometimes (mostthetimecough).

She LOVES these girls more than life itself. They're her sisters, her team, her everything. She knows that all of them have worked so hard to get where they are, and she's so convinced they'll do well, even if it might be hard at first. "After all, Queens weren't always born as Queens -- we'll have to work to get there, and we're so close!! We can do it!!" She's always ready to jump into an adventure with these girls.

During training, She had a much easier time than most, all things considered. She's beautiful and an awesome dancer, and while not a super strong vocalist, she's got a jazz rasp that really has a nice quality to it when put in the right songs. Of course, she has a strong dancing background, and always exceeded and was one of the top trainees in dance. However, she got a lot of flack for her past as a beauty queen and her scandal of leaving the country. Something like that, plus her mother being who she was, it gave a lot for the bitter girls or guys to use against her. It made it a little difficult to make friends, but once Hiro befriended her she was convinced that she could do anything. She was one of the newer trainees, so the fact that she excelled so easily and made friends definitely caught the CEO's eye, as well as the instructors when it came to the CHECKMATE project. She's trained with CHECKMATE, but was not given a place in QUEEN, surprisingly enough. It seems that the CEO has other plans for her. (psst - I have no idea how I'd work the Bishop aspect in there, but this is what I came up with ;;; Hopefully this helps?)

SCANDALS :

▸ JULY, 2015 - FORMER BEAUTY QUEEN JI-U RELAPSED AND HOSPITALISED? | 50/50 | Ji-u was rushed to the hospital when she passed out at a rehearsal, netizens assumed the worst.
Ji-u has had problems and struggles with eating normally -- it happens, after having such extreme dieting and problems with food as a beauty queen. So she hadn't eaten that day, and was really pushing herself, and ended up passing out in the middle of a routine practice. She was rushed to the hospital and scolded for not eating, but she was far from relapsing or being completely hospitalized. Her vitals were checked, she was given food and a strict regime for carbs and filling food for the next weeks, and was released later that evening.
