so im currently writing a letter and i need help...

well i have been really bad at shortening my sentences and use complex vocabs but im writing a letter to yoongi but i really dont know what word to use...

what i want to say is something along this line 

"I knew some of us might have stained your group's name in the public's eye by hurting people, possibly your loved ones, invading your privacy or through other disrespectful actions. Despite all of that, thank you for loving us back."

the sentences are too long to fit in and the word stained is really awkward tbh but i couldn't think of other words...

could you please give me some suggestion of other words or ways to summarize that long sentences? thank you!!

I think this is fine? Although I at writing, too. I can definitely relate to that!

It does sound awkward, maybe instead of using stained, say something like 'i know some of us might have harmed your group and you in public by hurting others close to you.....'

Don't know if you'll like this instead but it's up to you~ ^^
