Suicide Squad Rants and Hugging Myself For Comfort

What does this have to do with fanfics, fanfictionist, korean idols??? NOTHING. I just recently saw it and if you didn't know, I'm sort of a Batman geek. Sort of. Like mid-level. Like I know there are five Robins, and I can name three. I know Origins story, and I own some shirts... and comics... and DVDs and... yeah... You know... Geek stuff. I cosplay Harley Quinn before her y Arkham Franchise incarnations...

But anywho, Suicide Squad loooked so good in trailers. SO IN GOOD.

I did know that I shouldn't put my hopes on the upside of town because as much as I really wanted to be Lois Lane for Henry Cavill's Superman, Batman V Superman was kind of a letdown. I mean, I love Henry Cavill as Superman, but the storyline, direction and planning, wasn't all that good. I mean, visually-speaking, it's all pretty nice, I enjoyed Cavill's face (and bodeeeh), the cinematographic moments, Arkham style fighting batman, older-grizzled batman, oh-my-god-galdot-wonderwoman!!!!, whoa KHAL DROGO! I ing love Jason Momoa, guiseeeee. Anywho, but the story is weak. I actually like the philosophical argument embedded in this but then it just kind of gets buried under bad Lex Luther incarnation, weak angst resolution, and just generally bad thought out story... didn't we see the same thing in Man of Steel??? I mean, there are a lot of material in this, like Injustice plotline where Superman goes full evil for accidentally killing Lois Lane... but I just don't know... Warner Brothers want to go Dark, but never as dark as it could go to, you know, make it worth your time.

So anywho, Suicide Squad, hoorah. I liked most of the trailers. Hyperualized Harley is fine, eventhough, originally she was basically the joker sans a , meaning to say that she wasnt supposed to be attractive in the ual level... I mean, if you're into clowns, I mean, you know, then that's your thing. But in the Arkham series she was already given that ual pull, doning relatively revealing leather outfits, and nurse costumes, but she's still pretty bad . Which is to say, that I am fine with y-pretty Harley even if she isn't supposed to be that way. I am thinking a lot of people are missing the point, but hey, she's still pretty cool. But anywho, trailers are cool. Sev's geek , was twitchy excited for possibly Mad Love Origins of Harley... but again, DC felt like it drew back. This is my problem, I mean, have you seen peeps post relationship goals of Harley and Joker? This is because Jared Leto's Joker actually seemed to care about Harley. And they didn't put in the actual abuse that went on between them. Your not supposed to empathize with their love because it was absurd. You can like Harley, and Joker, as long as you know what they represent, it's not romantic, it's dark and twisted, and yes, cool. but it's meant to be insane. Joker actually encourages his henchmen to Harley for 's sake. Relationship goals? WHAT A ING JOKE.

That rant aside, this movie had really bad dialogues, and really unconvincing character motivations. I never really believed this group successfully built rapport. Oh and for 's sake stop cramming in back story. I feel bad for Katana. I feel horrible.

Deadshot is fine, but I kinda thought it's sad that his storyline wasn't as smooth as it could be. Captain Boomerang was funny, but much like Killer Croc lacked depth.

This, like B v S still looks cool, and I fangirled a ton of times, and I actually like Jared Leto's character design, but oh god someone needs to write better storyline.

Unpopular opinion: I didnt feel to bad about the Enchantress... I mean as the Twitchy Witch... I kinda... you know... thought it was okay.

Closing thoughts, I still, in concept, like DC Universe more than Marvel Universe, but DC needs to present their storyline better. I am not expecting too much on Justice League possibly because I can't get over jokey BatFleck, but you know, DC, I really hope you figure your out soon.

Suicide Squad wasn't what they were saying they were selling, but wasn't bad. The only issue was the fact that they revived the Joker just so Leto could mess up and romanticize the relationship between him and Harley. At least Margot is aware of the toxicity of the relationship, whereas Leto seems to be making excuses for his character.
