Kaneki was born to a well off family in the upper class. HIs mother was an heiress to a Ryotei/onsen japan that was in an arranged marriage to his father who was a chaebol in south korea his family ran an resort and a family owned soy sauce/tamari comapny that had been in the family since the the creation of the business. So kaneki was literally born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's the youngest of three kids. He grew up in his mother's home learning how to help manage the business along with his siblings aling with their father's company. But in his free time he would play soccer or run which made him very agile and fast on his feet as well dance classes. He grew up in a loving home but with rules and regulations since he was a son of a really wealthy family. But despite that he grew up not spoiled or bratty like so many of his classmates, instead of being spoiled his parents didn't want them to be bratty so they had to work for what they wanted to get what they wanted.
He tenically was the unplanned surprise baby hence the between him and his siblings.his siblings mainly raised him and looked after him since their parents are gone often for work but he knows that but doesn't mind since he has his brother and sister that's there for him and his parents as well even when they can't come they're always in touch with their children.
Kaneki was on the track team and soccer team in school but did play lacrosse since his older brother was on the lacrosse team, he had taught him everything about lacross but mainly midfielder since Kaneki is fast on his feet and the position suited him. His older brother is how on the famous lacrosse team, was drafed to England's lacrosse team. he moved to korea when he turned sixteen and was enrolled into myunghwa prepatory high school. luckily he knows korean since he would travel to korea on holidays to visit families in korea and for company parties as well. Now he's back to korea and was able to get on the track team since they weren't doing the applications for it and missed the try outs for soccer so he tried out for lacrosse and got in. He may not be the most experience but he is good at being a midfielder and is fast on his feet. He learned alot from his older brother and his brother's team as well and he practices in his free time to prove himself to the rest of the team that he can be just as good as them.
