In today's preoccupation: Show Me The Money 5, KDrama... and that diss on GD and TOP or YG as a whole by Iron

Never use passive voice, babies. That's one of the cardinal rules of writing because usually the doer of the action should be the focus. Hence, GD and TOP dissed by Iron, is the "wrong" structure but I think the focus is of course GD and TOP and relatively not Iron... well, he passed the hot thongs, so you know, because he got burned.

YG stans have been either up on arms or taken the chill pill and cruisin' around this matter, and as much as I really don't want to say anything about this, I feel like I have to... because you know, my head... I fill it with thoughts.

Most YG stan argue the fact that Iron is a relatively unknown person, but guys, that's not true. Iron is pretty popular in the rap game. He was first runner up in SMTM3 (yes, the season with Bobby in it), and he was featured in tracks of AOA's Jimin and Hyorin among others. His known for his voice, experimentation, and social criticism. I must say that eventhough I am not an Iron fan, I liked his song Malice which talks about the malice around money, which I think is pretty intelligent and good, and I liked it immensely, second only to Vasco's 187. I know YG stan hate this guy, but to say that he is no one outside the GDTOP diss is wrong, and ignorant, and GD most likely know about him since GD watches SMTM. He loves that show.

Wait sevvy, are you saying you're defending Iron? Well, no. I am a butthurt TOP stan, but I just dislike uninformed sputterings. Is all. I am butthurt, but that doesn't invalidate Iron or the song System. I mean, the song has definite content, but it offends me, with the gay slurs and plastic surgery shaming, and I do, I do think Iron is a bit hypocritical. Where does this stem from? The antagonism when once Iron said that he admires GDragon and thinks he is reinventing hiphop and putting korean rap on the map?

Iron was tangled in a scandal and after that he got pretty much obscured for a year or so, and he thinks its the system not working out for him. His main grief is that GD had the same issue but due to the YG protection, the thing got blown over and Iron was the only one, poor him, who suffered the blow back. The thing though that confuses me is the fact that he is being so sour when he probably smoked weed because he thought he wouldn't get caught. So he believes he has sinned and he is sour because the public seem to be oh, cool, GD when GD is rampant on his misbehavior. Iron even mentioned something about GD cheating on Kiko, and how he felt like Kiko being kicked, and . I mean, the whole thing is pretty cool construction, but I am kind of confused as to what he wants. Like is it... the free pass that GD gets? He's not actually saying weed is bad, or that cheating is bad. What's bad is that GD gets away with it and he doesn't... He calls the whole thing Gay Pop when once upon a time he said it was reinvention of hiphop... so yeah, he is sour.

A lot of the points in system is that YG protects its artists, and how the public just forgives GD for his sins while he is left to wallow. The thing is when GD had his incident he spent most of the time bowed and apologizing. Multiple times, and because he was high profile, he was under public tirades and scrutiny, and he apologized and worked, and people forgave him. I mean, honestly, I don't really care about ... I never needed to forgive GD, it's not a fan pass, it's a values pass. I think is good for some instances like depression and stress, and cancer... yeah, cancer. So I wasn't angry with GD, or with Iron for that matter, but thing was Iron said he would take responsibility, but when he didn't get the same forgiving response his first instinct is to drag the system, and GD in the mud because you know, misery loves company.

So I think the diss was a bit childish, and he drags TOP's name and infer Bom in there... for some reason, trying to look tough because he can throw stones. I mean, I don't dislike disses. I just think if it's rooted in the disatisfaction of your own life, then it's a bit... uh, misinformed. GD and TOP plays by the popular rules which is why they are considered mainstream. To go after GD's personal life and misbehavior because you got caught misbehaving is childish. I don't even know if it's authentic that he admires GD or if he think it's gaypop, and I don't know if he's homophobic or . I just don't know because his reinvention through the fire, he's just... angry and lashing out at things... because he was punished for misbehaving. So yeah.

I do think there are valid points in System like the dismissal of Se7en after his happy ending scandal. Se7en at that point was just marketing disaster, and when YG dropped him, my heart broke. When Gummy left, I stopped being a YG stan, because YG Family is only family when it's profitable, and it's true. TOP as a eunuch is saying TOP was castrated (lost his balls) after he joined YG, and it is true up to some point, because he is repressed and TOP's album has gone through the mainstream sieve and there's few songs that came out. TOP is not as free as Iron, but still to say that he lost his man parts is not considering the fact that people are social creatures and we play by the social rules or else there would be anarchy. TOP expresses himself in other ways, and in his personal life, and I am just pissed that Iron needed to insist for a career change just because he feels the need to invalidate TOP like he was invalidated. I don't get it. I just think, he needs to grow up. He says he understand what he did wrong, but he is still reeling with the social consequence of being ignored, and the absence of a company who would risk life and limb to save his from being spanked after misbehaving. GD was punished. We are after all the call out society, but because Iron felt GD had it easy, so he disapproves of GD's music and lifestyle.... and that's low. It's low.

Any who, that is my bit. And oh for Iron fans who are defending Iron's integrity and like System, good for you. But I don't get why your pissed that YG stans are reacting when this was the intent of the song. To rile up people. A diss track expects a response. And realize you're defending your oppa, even if you don't call him that. I personally am not defending GD (I am partially defending TOP), I am questioning the whole message and what Iron wants exactly. To be rewarded with recognition and fame because he is throwing a massive tantrum throwing rocks at other people? Maybe? No?

Well that's my thing. No one talks to me about this, and I change my mind, like I think this song is pretty good, if a little immature. CJamm's Illusion is so much better to be honest, and it's about the hiphop philosophy. I think Iron needs to get out of his and see the world a bit. I mean why mention plastic surgery exactly? He's just being hurtful for no reason. What's the point?

If you have strong opinions about this, you can let me know.I value civility so keep it clean. :D

KDRAMA:

I mainly watch Doctor Crush now and somehow drifted away from Oh Hae Young Again. Liking Doctor Crush so far, and who predicted Shin Hye to be an actual decent acting fighter. I dunno, but I think she can whoop my (maybe). I mainly fill the week with trying to catch up on some reading, mostly dungeons and dragon stuff, you wont understad, but I started seeing Six Flying Dragons because I watched Running Man and they featured Yoon Kyu Sang and he was sweet on Ji Hyo so I watched Six Flying Dragons. I know, it's pretty chase my own tail kind of story.

BUT I LOVE SIX FLYING DRAGONS. I usually don't like historical dramas, but this one... it has an evil genius in the making, sword fighting!, war, politics, philopsophical wanderings, pretty girls, pretty boys, courtesan spy system, evil pretend monks, more martial arts and metaphorical dragons. Whewwww. So good. Se Kyung is in there and se kyung is my boo because TOP kissed her and painted her toes. YOU DONT UNDERSTAND.

My favourite so far is Moo Hyul because he's a puppy, but I am anticipating liking everyone. I like the general who is steadfast and honourable... and the swordsman with a dark longing, and the... wait... I think everyone is compelling.

I need to watch this nao.

SMTM5:

Okay, okay. so I enjoy SMTM I don't care. Hahaha. There were a lot of my faves that has been cut from the show namely Hash Swan, Killagramz, G2, most recently myunDo, Flowsik. I mean, I don't like Flowsik as much as G2, but Flowsik is pretty sick in his flow. So yeah.

myunDo is my baby and people be hating his limited skill set in trap. I still think this was one of the most fun performance in SMTM5, (next would be a lot of CJAMM's):

I think myunDo has style and flow, and why he's being pegged as a trendy baby is because he is trendy and his style is trendy, and I don't know why people has a stick up their asses with myunDo (possibly because he eliminated TaeWon and really TaeWon isn't all that good. TaeWon is trendy. He's in the ing idol spectrum). I still like myunDo even if he slipped in the live performance. I think, like Dok2, myunDo lacked experience and with such a long performance and big audience he took a misstep and both him and superbee got squashed by the pressure of CJamm and Reddy. CJamm is a big name and a forerunner of winning, and women cry seeing him flop on a couch and throw him 1,000 dollahs. No. Not really. But myunDo doesn't embarass himself in losing or making a mistake... after all he made it TOP 16.

I wouldn't say he dropped the ball. I really don't think even without the slip up CJAMM and Reddy was too good for them. Sorry baby.

Too good. And everyone was swooning. :3

So yeah.

I still think myunDo is pretty good with a good tone and flow and witty lyrics. He's fun. And I hurt a bit to hear that he was bullied all his life for being ugly. I am just impressed he raised himself out of that. myunDo for me is still so in good!

As for Flowsik, I was kind of surprised Chulgo won over him, but I should remember that Chulgo has K-fans, and I really liked the beat Kush and Zion T prepared for him, and I actually like Chulgo. I dunno. I keep forgetting who I was more impressed with. Haha. I don't know. I was okay Flow got chucked. I'm weird. Possibly because I thought Flow's style is repetitive in tempo which is fast and it is a style and I am pummeled always by it, but it's not exactly surprising... so I feel like I'm not going to miss out. Um. Uh. Sorry Flow. Sevvy still likes you! Chulgo's flow for me is a bit lacking but his content is pretty wicked. His wicked too. I mean his diss on One was just cheese on Pizza. CJamm's insert floated my boat and it went rampaging in rapids. Woo hoo.

Now G2 doesn't even get the chance to shine. I am just heartbroken for him. He is sooooo good and I think if anybody stood a chance against Reddy and CJamm it would be a team up of BeWhy and G2 (on his best days). He never got to redeem himself and he has an error trauma that I never really saw him get over... ;A; Poor G2.

BUT PEOPLE MY BOY. MY BOY IS BEWHY BEWHY.

Hello, Universe. It's the BeWhy!

The music inlaid in this changes three times... and how wicked is BeWhy to ride that beat and show it who's boss. It's BeWhyyyyy... ;A; I crey. I crey.

I want CJAMM vs BeWhy in the finals. MNet is teasing saying it's CJAMM vs BeWhy in the semis, but I'm not reddy... Hahaha. OTL

So yeah, sevvy is preoccupied.

I didn't have any clue about the YG dissing, at all... Not that it's unusual when ppl want some extra attention =.=

But it does make me a bit sad, eventho I haven't technically heard the song yet... If it contains what I read in your post :(
I was really looking into Iron and I was excited when I realized he was a trainee with BTS once. But if he's hurt over something that he caused himself, then I will probably tell him to take a damn seat. Because that's not cool, not when you have to drag other ppl's names just cuz of it. I love Iron, but he can take a seat for now.

I like iron it's just sad that he had to take the "attack the YG artist" route when he's pretty talented on his own.
I love 6 flying dragons it's pretty awesome. It's pretty solid.
I don't follow SMTM5 as much although I love Simon D A lot but lately I opt to just watch the performances and not the whole episodes I enjoy it more that way.
