Review: Big Bang's Made Album

Why? Because I can. Hell yeah.

I know this review is no longer relevant to anyone except to myself, which should be good enough for me. Heh. Anywho, I am a Big Bang trash, and I just, you know, give YG my money eventhough I have so little, like a trash should. OTL

But whatever, this came out last year in painful increments. I did not enjoy YG dangling Big Bang at me. I really think that was a bad marketing ploy (yes, even if I bought everything...) I just think staggering the releases only cut down on the hype. I do. I always turned up for MV releases, but I just was never as excited as the first release. I just don't think it was a good decision. I am happy all the songs got music videos, but do I think everything was A+ quality? No. I am happy to watch my boys have fun in "We Like 2 Party" but do I think it's a quality product that displays their artistry and music... no. I am sorry. But honestly, no.

I think what Made is, is a declaration that Big Bang is already "made" and whatever the they do, they'd be trendy, and big and you'd give them your hard-earned cash because, hell, they're ing Big Bang. This is why no one bothers understanding "Bae Bae" or "Sober" but they still think it's pretty cool. This is also why everyone thinks "Bang Bang Bang" is the best and the new BB anthem in spite of it's watered down lyrical impact compared to "Bae Bae," "Sober," and "Loser". It is as GD says, "I take a and people applaud. I guess I'm famous." This is the main message of Made, I think. It's actually really smart, in a really twisted kind of way.

My personal favourite in this album is "Bae Bae" and "Sober". I read "Bae Bae" as a parody, and "Sober" straight, and metaphorical. I think these are the smarter of their tracks. I do like Loser too, but I think it's hard to digest because there is the obvious theme of suicide and eventhough it might be symbolic, like social suicide, it's still a very touchy subject that I don't really feel like connecting to, too much. I enjoyed the other tracks, and a big special mention to #Zutter because GD and TOP is nothing short of magic to me. And I really liked the bredth of imagery in TOP's verses. Hooray. The MV is ludicrous. I did however enjoy TOP's theatrical gutting of pigs and his display of cleavers. I don't know. I just need TOP to play a really dark role of a serial killer, I think. Maybe an Aaron Stampler or something, I just need him in a psychological thriller. vdskfhsfj.

Why did I write this again?

Oh because I was listening to CJAMM, and thinking I should post about CJAMM, but then I never did do a review for the Kings, so I did. Very circular thinking, but hey, I am just pursuing the will to expression. Hoop, hoop, hop.
