PERSONALITY :　

Shohei is a really out going and funny kid, unlike most people think, just because of how smart he is. He is really blunt and picky when it come to things he dosn't like and complains about not wanting to do it, but still does it, finishes it on time and with great quality! When it comes to things he likes or has intrest in doing he works very hard to finish it and ends up having plenty of time before it's due, so he uses that time to fix tiny little details or work ahead. But ever since he wanted to be an idol he worked very hard on everything. His mother called him bold since he stood up to them.

Even though he is very outgoing, it's hard to understand him sometimes because he is 4D. There was once where he placed a bet with some seniors, it was whether or not he'd be able to do a 100m dash in less than 12 seconds, if he couldn't he hafts to dress up as a maid and do what his seniors asked him to do. That 100m dash, was 12.59 seconds and they weren't going to go easy on him and let that .59 seconds slip; no, they made him dress as a maid and sing infront of the class, the class may have laughed at him, but they loved his voice and Shohei didn't even mind wearing that dress. He's very playful and likes to pull pranks, so he's devious too.

Shohei may be very smart, but he's also clueless. He gets lost a lot, mostly because he's deep in thought and not paying attention to where he is going. He says it's fine though since he is with his music the whole entire time, but when he bumbs into someone or has to ask for directions back, he can be very shy like he is with all people at first. Due to getting lost a lot, he's become flexible, easyily able to adapt to things.

BACKGROUND :　Shohei was born and raised (for 6 years) in Saitama, Japan. His halmeoni (his grandma on his mom's side) became very ill when he was about 6 1/2, so his family moved to South Korea so his mother could take care of her. Three days after Shohei's 7th birthday, his halmeoni passed away. His parents decided to stay in Korea and he stayed in school there in the Buk District of Busan.

Shohei was 10 when he decided he wanted to be an idol, he had gone on a field trip where he saw a musical and loved how the performers could just sing and make the audience feel lots of different emotions. His friend, Jungkook (who he calls hyung), was also into singing and the two of them would sing and dance together. When Jungkook had gone to audition for BigHit Ent., Shohei was 13, he decided to tell his parents that he wanted to be an idol then and that's when they made their little "bet", to graduate with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Shohei graduated when he was 15 with a GPA of 3.9, his parents allowing him to audition at only Yunrae Ent.

▸His friend Junhae made him help her with baseball practice, she says he's fast and a great pitcher

▸If he had to play a sport, it'd be soccer. Baseball wasn't very fun and he doesn't really have the eye-hand cordination for basketball or volleyball.

▸Track would be his second sport choice, if he couldn't play soccer.

▸When he was 5 he got lost at the zoo, but not for too long.

▸His room is covered in music posters and posters of compititeons he was in for school.

▸Skateboarding was something he tried to learn how to do, but he always fell on his face.

▸He doesn't really like video games.

▸Has a slight motion sickness. Playing video games can cause him to feel nauseous and so can silent car rides.

▸His best and favorite subject in school was math.

Since his mother is a teacher he has learned lots of things from her to be able to skip 3 grade levels. When his mother found out he wanted to be an idol rather than a doctor, she was furious at first since he is her only child, but made a "bet" with her son if he really wanted to audition at Yunrae Entertainment.

Shohei's father would take him to the hospital every now and then to talk to the kids and there, and for him to learn about being a doctor. He was also angry when Shohei said he wanted to be an idol, but his wife calmed him down and he fully accepts his decision. He may not like to show it or say it, but he really loves his son's voice.

Sakurako had died at birth. When Shohei found out he had had a sister he promised to work hard for not only himself, but for her as well at the age of 5.

FRIENDS

▸ Hyung — Jeon Jungkook (18) // Singer // Energetic, Athletic, Blunt // 4/5
The two of them used to be closer to one another, but once Jungkook began being a trainee they slowly drifted apart. They started drifting more apart when Jungkook debuted and Shohei became a trainee. When they used to spend time in the school dancing and singing, they decided to take a break and start watching an anime called "Darker Than Black", Jungkook was the one who started calling Shohei "Hei" because of the anime's hero, Hei.

▸ Classmate — Kim Junhae (15) // Student // Hard-Working, Encouaraging, Clueless // 3/5
Junhae had attended school with Shohei for a while. When she found out that Shohei liked music she cheered him on and encouraged him. They aren't that close but they share a lot of similar intrests. Junhae had gotten Shohei somewhat into the GazettE, him taking a liking to the lead singer, Ruki's singing voice. She loves playing with his hair and listening/watching him practice.

▸ Old Friend — Shiono Akihisa (21) // Actor // Creative, Athletic, Smart // 2/5
Akihisa was a friend of Shohei's before he moved to Korea. When they were little they were neighbors and always played together. Due to Shohei moving the were disconnected from each other until Akihisa went to Korea for some movie promotions and saw Shohei again. Akihisa is curently a Japanese actor.

Although Shohei was awkward with them at first and still somewhat is, he's really close with everyone. He feels like they are all a big family, to him they are his 2nd family. If he had to do solo preperations at any time, or just individual things (like acting in something with out and of them) he'd probably ask them for help and encouragement, as long as they aren't busy. As for the members in the Clubs and Spades sub-units, he's not as close to them as he is with those in Diamonds, since their practice schedules are different.

Shohei was "dragged" to a GazettE concert by Junhae, and thanks to her he got to meet and talk to Ruki. Ruki is actually kind of interested in Shohei and is curious about his future.

▸ Tutor — Park Daichi (22) // Tutor // Smart, Short-Tempered // 2/5
Daichi was Shohei's tutor, hired by his parents. Daichi is actually really short-tempred and impatient with most of students, but not Shohei, Shohei was on hie good side. Daichi knows 5 different languages (English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish). He has another side job as an assistant teacher at a University.

TRAINEE LIFE :　To convince his parents to let him audition he had to have great grades and he was already working on skipping some grade levels. After graduating at the age of 15 with a GPA of 3.9 his parents allowed him to audition. He had a compliacted audition; singing a song, then rapping, then dancing. He sang to part of BigBang's "Loser", rapped to Zelo's part in "Warrior" by B.A.P, and danced to part of BTS' "We Are Bulletproof Pt.2" Being on the young end of the trainee list was a little uncomfortable, but all his seonbae's were very kind to him and encouraged him.

PREDEBUT :

▸ 2014 - Yunrae Entertainment allowed Shohei to play the leading role in a TV Show in Japan, called "Koizora"

SCANDALS :

▸ After filming "Koizora" he had been mistaken to actually have been dating the other lead role's actress, Mizusawa Erena, but he is and was not (plus she's almost 7 years older than him, he doesn't mind s, but he has an ideal )

why did you pick yunrae entertainment - or to be an idol at all in that case? : 

▸ "Yunrae Entertainment was the first, and probably only, entertainment label my parents wanted me to audition at. I wanted to be an idol after my halmeoni passed away, the last thing she said to me was, "Always be ahappy and keep others happy," so when I saw this one musical I was really touched by how the performs touched our hearts and wanted to the same." *pats checks that are becoming slightly red*

If you could pick another sub-unit to be in, which one would it be and why? : 

▸ "If I can't been in Diamonds I guess the other original sub-unit I'd want to be part of is Spades, I can only play classical piano so I don't think I'd really fit into Clubs. As for the combined sub-units, I think I'd like to be part of Joker or Deuce. Since I'm a triple threat I'd kind of fit in anywhere wouldn't I? In all honesty though, I prefer strong dances over boy charm dancing." *rubs back of neck and chuckles a little bit*

Is there a particular activity you'd like to try in the future (like acting, musicals, variety)? : 

▸ *leans back into chair* "Hm... Well I guess I'd like to consider acting again. When I played the main role in 'Koizora' it was really lots of fun and kid of hard, since it was my first time, but I think I can improve even more compared to that time."

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR SUNBAES? : 

▸ *bites bottom lip* "I think they're pretty cool..." *fixes posture* "Ah, sorry, I sounded like I didn't mean it, but I really do!" *waves hands frantically, before calming down and continuiing* "They're pretty cool and they're really nice, they've been cheering us on and helping us out when they can."
