PERSONALITY :　

Hiro is usually a caring, considerate and supportive soul. Despite the fact that he can be mischeivious and loves playing pranks on the members, manager and stylists, Hiro is the type to comfort someone who he sees sad and try to cheer them up no matter what. Also, when any of the members are sick, he's usually the one to look after them, even if he complains about it a lot how he is the one doing all the chores everyone knows that he cares a lot for all the members.

He can be very cheerful, trying to see a positive side to anything bad that happens. He can't stand it when people around him are sad or depressed, so he will do anything, even make a fool of himself, just to make them laught. He is rarely sad, if ever, but he can be moody and snap at the members if they annoy him.

Hiro is very talkative and can talk to pretty much anyone comfortably. He always has to have an input in all conversations, no matter on what topic, but he always thins he's right and won't accept any other option. At first when he moved to Korea he got annoyed a lot as he wasn't able to talk to everyone, but he quickly caught onto the language. This can have some downsides, as he can't stop talking sometimes and blabbers on about pointless things, and he is also very loud in some of the most inappropriate places. If he's in a library he can be talking very loud, almost shouting, and won't even realise it himself until people tell him to shut up.

The reason for his nickname, Hime Hiro, is because Hiro can be very fussy and picky, especially with food. He has random phases when he suddenly has an appetite for something that can last for months as he eats it every day religiously and then the next moment he doesn't like it anymore. He changes his mind a lot and is a bit indecisive. Others find his indecisiveness very annoying. He is also a bit egoistic as he had always been very popular for his looks. He was average in grades, but had lots of girls ib hos school swooning over his looks and later his voice.

Though he might act like a princess at times and is always kind on set, when there are no cameras around his personality can switch between his cheerful and kind persona that he shows to the public and also his moody self that complains a lot about everything. Most of the time Hiro is really cheerful and optimistic, but when he's annoyed or in a bad mood he will take it out on everyone around him. And he swears a lot when off screen and in private.

Hiro is VERY touchy and loves hugging his friends and people he's close with. He often just casually puts his arm around them or hugs them normally. Because of this, fans ship him a lots with all the members because he's really touchy with them all, though he sees it as a normal thing to be very touchy.

BACKGROUND :　Toshihiro was born to an average family in Kyoto in Japan. He was the youngest child of 2 and has a sister that's 2 years older than him. His sister was a massive kpop fangirl and adored BigBang and Girl's Generation and 2ne1. She had loads of posters in her room and always listened to kpop non-stop and she was the one that introduced Hiro to it. Hiro really liked BigBang and listened to them. He also went to their concerts with his sister when they came to Japan. 

When he was 12 he started training Judo and then aged 16 he started airsoft. He came to love the sport and became really good at it. Airsoft gave Hiro inspiration to join the military when he became 18. Ever since then he dreamt of joining the military in Japan, which his parents had mixed feelings about as they were proud that he wanted to serve the nation, but were reluctant to allow him to go off as it was dangerous and they knew that soldiers often ended up with PTSD or other mental problems. 

His dream changed to becoming a singer in his last year of senior high school when his music teacher in school complemented his singing, saying that Hiro had a unique powerful voice full of colour. His teacher pushed him to perform in all school concerts and even outside school in one of the shows that he was directing. Hiro fell in love with the stage and how he had the eyes of so many people on him. He felt alive and comfortable. When he found out SM was holding Global Auditions in Osaka he decided to audition and was accepted. He was a trainee at SM for 2 years until his contract expired and he decided to change to a smaller company, so he auditioned for Saseum Ent.

- Airsoft. it's his ultimate favourite sport and he treasures his equipment with his life
- Judo: he trained judo since he was 12 and is a brown belt.

- clicking his neck and fingers every so often. It helps him relieve stress. Also, it became a habbit and he got so used to doing it that his neck will hurt if he doesn't click it
- making stupid faces at random times, especially during variety shows or when they're on V app or filming. When other members are talking during a variety show he will pull faces at the camera.

▸ trivia

- He admires GD and Daesung
- He's friends with NCT's Yuta since his trainee days at SM. They were both Japanese, so Yuta would help Hiro adjust to Korea
- He wanted to join the military in the past, but gave up his original fantasies for the stage and music. He is still planning on going some time in the future anyway. He will either sign up for a couple of years in Japan when another member is conscrpited or joining the military officially only after leaving the group
- He's left handed
- He's learning to play guitar. He started when he became a trainee

- He still plays airsoft even after moving to Korea. It was the first thing he looked for when he came over from Japan

He taught Hiro how to cook ever since he was young, as he believed that it was a primary skill that one should have no matter who they were or how smart they were or what they were going to do in life. Hiro has a good relationship with his father and learnt from him a lot both from his expertise and regarding life situations. His dad taught Hiro that the most important thing in life is optimism as if you think positively, good things will come to you. 

▸ Mother — Saito Ayame (49) / secretary / caring, kind, hard-working / 4/5
She really misses Hiro because he spent so long abroad in Korea. When he's at home she's exceptionally nice to him to make up for the time that he's away. They skype each other every week.

they are very close. When Hiro was accepted to SM as a trainee, the inner kpop fangirl in Hikaru went completely mental and excited that her little brother was going to be an idol and possibly even at SM. She was a bit disappointed when he decided to go to a smaller company, but she is 100% supporting him in his career. Whenever Hiro goes home (which is very rarely because his family is abroad) he shares all his stories with her.

▸ Best Friend — Nakamoto Yuta (20) / idol (NCT member) / outgoing, fun, sensitive / 4/5
They met at SM when Yuta was an SM trainee and Hiro became a trainee there too. At first Hiro didn't understand Korean so Yuta was the only person he could talk to and he helped him with everything. They became good friends really quickly and have ben ever since, even after Hiro left SM. They still hang out together a lot, visit each other and support each other. He's also friends with other NCT members, but he's not as close with them as with Yuta

TRAINING :　

At first Hiro was a trainee at SM Entertainment. He auditioned in 2013 during the global audition in Osaka and was accepted as a trainee there. He trained at SM for 2 years before his contract finished and he left because he didn't feel as though SM was the right company for him. After he left SM he didn't want to give up being an idol, but he didn't want to audition for any large companies anymore because he hated how competitive all the trainees there were and how strict the company was on the trainees, so he auditioned for Saseum Entertainment and was accepted.

He trained at Saseum Ent for 7 months, which was the shortest time at Saseum out of all the trainees in the group, but together with his training at SM he trained for almost 2 years 7 months.

Hiro had dreamt of joining the military for a long time, but he was more fascinated about being on stage and having a music career, so he chose music over military, but he decided after a few years to move on and pursue a military career instead of continuing in the entertainment industry.

▸ I'm haven't known them for very long, but they're really cool. I'm already great friends with most of them and when we debut I'm sure we'll become even closer. They're really fun to hang out with.

▸ I think there's a bit of pressure to do well, but it'll be fine; we have Suil on the team hahahaha. It's really an honour, to be honest, that I'll be in Saseum's final group. Royal fighting! Wooooooo!!
 

what do you think is your best attribute?: 

▸ Umm... my looks? hahaha I've always been told that I have a pretty face. Now seriously... umm I'm reliable and can always be a person for others to lean on when they're having troubles, so I think I'll be able to support the members and the group if we're having a difficult time. I hope hahaha

▸ Not long after the group is formed and they move into the dorm one of the members wants to see Hiro's airsoft guns, so he picks it up and Hiro catches him touching it and flips completely that all the members are really surprised as they hadn't seen his moods before and to them he seemed like a forever cheerful person

▸ One of the members gets really sick and Hiro ends up looking after him, even though he keeps complaining about how he has to look after him. Deep inside he cares and wants to make sure all the members are okay
