EXO-L's please be more HUMBLE

 

Hello everyone

Well as you can see in the title of the blog I want to ask you, exo fans, to be more humble and nice, please. Yeah, I know that other fandoms can be annoying too, but at the moment I don't want to talk about them, I want to talk about exo fandom right now.

Just a few minutes ago I was watching their new mvs, but I couldn't enjoy the songs because of the comments. Like seriously guys, I get that exo is popular and all, but they are no gods, they are not perfect and certainly they are not the best. People and fans need to know that popularity has nothing to do with being the best, so please stop minimizing other k-pop groups just because they didn't have the same luck as exo. I've noticed that exo-l's are getting more and more arrogant, saying things like no other group is in the same level as them, showing off that they have won more awards, etc. That's so pretentious guys. I get that you are proud of them, just as I am, but you can't refuse reality because of that. You do know that exo has more advantages than other group from the very start, right? You do know that sometimes they win because of their popularity and not because they actually deserve it, right? Because sometimes other group may deserve it a little more than them and they end up losing because they are not popular enough.

I'm starting to think that our fandom (I am multifandom by the way) deserve the hate it's receiving. Saying things like, the kings are back, or something like that, I find it super pretentious considering that they debuted not long ago, they still have to earn that title.

Just because exo fandom it's larger than other fandom doesn't mean that we have to act like we own the world.

I know that not every exo-l is like that of course, I'm not stupid, but you have to admit that a lot of them are like that and it's pissing me off. They don't have respect for anything.

Please guys, let's support exo humbly.

Fanwars but always remember this saying, 'Don't judge that fan on the fandom, and don't judge the fandom on the fan.' I think that's a really crucial thing to remember because a lot of times people forget that they are just focusing on just one ed up section of the group. But yes, fans need to stop viewing idols as this god and notice their flaws. They need to accept their mistakes because sooner we ALL do that then maybe idols won't get punished by companies and etc. for making a mistake and being a ing human being.

Truth be told. Im a huge fan of EXO since their debut. But fanwars today are really getting on my nerves too. Let's love peace and harmony like Yixing bae told us.

I love EXO but to be honest I'm not a pure exo-l. I like their musics and I feared of their fans. Their fans can be so fanatics and I support your blog post. I wish exo-l will be more humble and polite to other fandoms. But, I know that not all of the exo-l's is badmouthing others because I've exo-l friends and they're so nice. But yeah, a little-tiny immature fans do disturb the others.

I love Exo since their debut but to be honest Exo-L are one of the most scary fandoms
and we can't deny that BIG part of their popularity is due to SM.. one of the big three companies in Korea
I'm an Army (BTS fan) and BABY (B.A.P fan) and I admire how groups from small companies can achieve what they have now because of their good songs and talent like EXO, so it's frustrating when I read inmature comments like these
winning awards or how many albums a group can sell, can't make a group the best of the best

I actually agree with you. I believe that we exo-l's don't need to ignore or even bad mouth other fandoms, especially seeings as some of us like you and me are a part of multiple fandoms. I'm also starting to think we deserve the hate that we get seeing as some of us are arrogant and can be quite rude at times. I just wish that the better side of exo'ls could out-shine the side that we all hate. Great blog post!

They are the best
They are incredible
They are amazing
There is nobody like them, nobody
Oh God....I love them so much.
Because of them I gained so much energy and inspiration today to do my work
If they weren't truly great, they wouldn't make me feel like this
They wouldn't affect my life in such a positive way
They wouldn't make me want to be a better person and a better artist
So if it upsets you that I love them, I can't fix that. My own relatives told me that Exo is not as great as I think they are and my reply was "um, yes they are" So if you're hoping to change my mind, that hope will be crushed by my incessant fangirling
I'm on a whirlwind of Exo today. This cant be stopped. If I had it my way, my screams of ecstasy would be heard through the four corners of the earth and throughout the entire milky way
But since I have a normal voice box, only my neighbors are getting tortured right now
Still, it's such a BEAUTIFUL DAY for us Exo fans. Why would you want to ruin that?
We deserve to celebrate all day today. Our boys worked damn hard and I respect that so much. Truly, they deserve to be celebrated

Hmm, I don't mind things like "The Kings are back" and stuff, it's amusing and every fandom thinks that about their own favorite group. And EXO-Ls can celebrate right now since new MV release and all, but yeah. I agree on success=/=ability. Some groups come from smaller agencies and are much better than successful ones who gained fame because they received nice promotions. Unfortunately (actually not, that is the beauty of arts), there is no way to accurately measure who is the best.
