background - The Nams are a wealthy but down-to-earth family. They donate to charity, are law-abiding citizens, help in the community and even enroll their children in normal schools instead of sending them off to private ones. The quirkiest thing about them is their strong leanings towards the martial arts, especially the males. Feminists are in a state of distaste with the family, stemming from the fact that the women seem to not do any work at all.
It's because the Nams want people to think their women are weak and meek. It's been a tradition in the family to have the women pretending to be humble, demure housewives, while the men take charge publicly. In reality, though the men do have a lot of power, the women are the guiding force behind them - "behind every strong man is an even stronger woman". The women are the shadows supporting the men's light.
Growing up, Miyoung is totally a Nam woman. She grew up excelling in martial arts but preferss to hide it like all Nam women. That doesn't mean she goes around defenseless though - she knows how to hide different weapons under her clothes. Sometimes, even her accessories are her weapons.

father - Nam Junhee - 46 - Junhee is the strong, strict father. Despite being known as the cold and aloof CEO of the Nam Company, he's very loving towards his daughter and wife. He had fallen in love with Narae, his sweet but hot-tempered sunbae. It took him a while to woo her but he made it. He's quite happy with his family, even though he would have liked a son. His daughter is his princess and little girl.
Mother - Kwon Narae - 48 - Narae is a sweet woman, though more hot tempered than her daughter. She also has a more obvious sharp tongue when she's angry. Despite that, she does brilliantly as the shadow co-CEO of the Nam Company. Truthfully, in the past, she never would have thought she would be the co-CEO of a company and married to someone younger than her. She and her daughter are pretty close.

female Best Friend - Cho Ami - 17 - Ami is the only one outside of the Nams and the Kangs who truly knows Miyoung's personality. She's a sassy, pragmatic diva. She acts a lot like Miyoung's secretary - which Miyoung will most likely give her when she inherits the company as loyalty should be rewarded.
Male Best Friend/Bodyguard - Kang Mingyu - 17 - Mingyu is Miyoung's loyal bodyguard. The Kangs had pledged loyalty to Nams ages ago and even though the Nams have considered them as friends after a century of service, they still continue to be loyal protectors. He's better at martial arts than Miyoung (as all Kangs tend to be) but knows she can handle herself. He's the strong, silent type. He talks formally to her and calls her 'Miss Miyoung' - which she hates because Mingyu grew up with her and is practically her brother. Though he does know it irritates her, which is why he still does it.

Favorite Teacher - Han Hunchul - 36 - The strict, severe teacher who actually knows what's going on with Miyoung. He finds amusement in watching Miyoung sway the masses with a sweet smile and warm aura. She is also good at everything. Not necessarily the best, but still good enough to catch people's eyes. She's ranked 5th in her year and she's pretty athletic but not the star athlete. She prides being the social butterfly and being gifted in the arts - including music. Of course, like every other Nam woman, Miyoung's hidden martial arts is her pride and joy.

1. how do you know about the 'butterfly murders' from the past?
A: "Who doesn't know about it?" her voice was soft and sad, eye downcast, "Even people new to the town would immediately be informed. It's simply that much of a horror."
2. how would you react to have to play the game?
a: A dangerous glint gleamed in her orbs briefly before disappearing, her eyes back to being warm and kind. But when she spoke, it wasn't warm nor kind but cold and unforgiving. It was a scary sight, especially since she was still smiling and her eyes were still so caring. "If I had to play the game, I would do my best to survive. If I happen to be loyal to one or more of them, then we will all survive. Nothing more, nothing less." 'I won't just survive, I'll win'. Here, her tone turned back to normal, but with a more playful edge. "Oh, but this is just all hypothetical isn't it?"

a: "Of course I will," her tone was strong and unyielding, "I may not know those who died but they deserve to let their souls rest in peace."
