ELABORATION —

combining a vivid imagination with a strong sense of compassion, chungha use her creativity to resolve her challenges. using her creative mind, she is in charge of the choreography of the group. the big minds in her head help her to come out with great dance moves. seeing through dishonesty and disingenuous motives, she steps past manipulation and sales tactics and into a more honest discussion. she sees how people and events are connected, and are able to use that insight to get to the heart of the matter. when chungha comes to believe that something is important, for instance the need to debut into a girl group, she will pursue that goal with a conviction and energy that can catch even her friends and loved one off guard. she will rock the boat if she has to, something not everyone likes to see, but her passion for her chosen cause is an inseparable part of her personality. these strengths are used for good. chungha has strong beliefs and take the actions that she does not because she is trying to advance herself, but because she is trying to advance an idea that she truly believe will make the world a better place. 

 

when someone challenges or criticizes chungha's principles or values, they are likely to receive an alarming strong response. she is highly vulnerable to criticism and conflict, and questioning her motives is the quickest way to her bad side. chungha tends to present herself as the culmination of an idea. this is partly because she believes in this idea, but also because she is extremely private when it comes to her personal lifes, using this image to keep themselves from having to truly open up, even to close friends. therefore, if she told a secret to someone, that means she really trust that person. trusting a new friend can be even more challenging for her. chungha is all but defined by her pursuit of ideals. while this is a wonderful quality in many ways, an ideal situation is not always possible. and she always drop or ignore healthy and productive situations and relationships, always believing that there might be a better option down the road. chungha can get so caught up in the passion of her persuits that any of the cumbersome administrative or maintainence work that comes between her and the ideal she sees on the horizon is deeply unwelcome. she likes to know that she is taking concrete steps towards her goals, and if routine tasks feel like they are getting in her way, or worse yet, there is no goal at all, she will feel restless and dissapointed.  

 

  

 

BACKGROUND + CURRENT EVENTS —

seon chungha was born in november 1, 1994 by seon daehwan and park soojin at seoul, south korea. her father is a businessman while her mother is an architect. chungha is born with a silver spoon in . seon daehwan is one of the famous and richest businessman in south korea. since she is the only daughter in the seon family, she gets all the love. her parents give her the best of everything, food, living and even education. when she was little, she gets everything she wants, therefore she is the dream of many kids her age. chungha loves it at first, because most of the uncles and aunties will buy her food, presents and cuddle her. as she grows up, she finds that being the daughter of seon daehwan and park soojin isn't easy.

 

chungha learns piano when she was 6, and she learns violin when she was 7. she wasn't allowed to go out and have fun with her classmates after school, this is because the butler will straightaway fetch her home after school to attend music classes. having a hectic schedule at such young age makes chungha less sociable when she grows up. when she was 14, she realises that she does not have a life, all her life is planned by her parents, attending music classes, study hard to score well for the exam, attending parents' social party and act all happy and bubbly. chungha is known as the socialite, just like paris hilton and the kadarshians family. however, she does not like this at all. what she wants is to have fun with her friends (which she doesn't really have one) and go on a road trip with them. 

 

chungha has interested in dancing when she saw a youtube video of a ballerina dancing, she finds it facinating when the ballerina could express her feelings through swifty movements. she somehow relates her situation with it. chungha begs her parents to let her learn ballet. her parents reluctant at first because she has a lot to learn. after chungha gets a distinction in piano at age 14, they let her take ballet class. the ballet teacher is very facinated at chungha's passion in dancing. besides, chungha focuses a lot on ballet dancing which makes her parents worried. they kind of restricted her from doing ballet and focus on her studies. but that does not stop her as she will dance when there is free time in the school. 

 

chungha is also a big fan of k-pop, mainly tvxq because of their fiery aura on stage. she wants to be like them since little. but she knows that her parents will definitely object because that doesn't give you a good life. her needs of auditioning to the company is getting stronger as many of the students from the neighbour high school went and auditioned. after a small struggling, chungha decided to audition. she dances her heart out and got accepted. she is happy, very happy. but the problem starts. after she told her parents about the acceptance, she got a huge arguement with her parents. her parents tell her to cancel the contract and flew to america to study, this is the only way to get her away from all those k-pop dream. she refuses to do so and get out from the house, living in the dorm all alone and starts to practice hard to acheive her dream. 

 

RELATIONSHIPS — 

 

 

• best friend, ex classmate - moon taeil (22) - singer in nct u - kind, naive, clever - taeil and chungha were classmates when she was still a student in seoul science high school. after she was dropped out, none of her classmates contacted her, except taeil. he is concern about her and always tell her random stuffs to keep the conversation going. when the two of them are in the company, taeil will act like a big brother to her and he will always be by her side when she is stressed or sad. 
• member - bae "irene" joohyun (25) - singer in red velvet - determined, ego - irene and chungha may not be the best of friends in red velvet, but they do not argue. chungha looks up to irene because she is pretty, like very pretty, and she lead red velvet well. if irene and the other members are having a fight, she will support the leader because the leader is responsible for the group and wants the best from the group. chungha doesn't really talk much to irene as she knows that irene loves herself the most and she will do anything to keep her under the spotlight. nevertheless, she still respect irene as the leader of red velvet.
• member - kang seulgi (22) - singer in red velvet - , two-face girl, helpful - the whole red velvet members know that seulgi and chungha are not in good terms. when chungha was introduced to red velvet, seulgi felt that her place as the best dancer is threatened. furthermore, chungha is way more beautiful than her, at least chungha has a double eyelid when seulgi doesn't have. using the fact that she knows many seniors, seulgi always degrades chungha. for instance, scolding her , a dropout, a failure and many more. chungha ignores all those stuffs because she knows that if she fights back, she will lose. the worst part of the degrading is that seulgi laughed chungha that she has nothing except her face and say that she is even worst that yeri.
• member - son "wendy" seungwan (22) - singer in red velvet - kind, sociable - wendy is considered to be chungha's best and true friend in sm entertainment. after seeing chungha suffer from seulgi's bully, wendy went and comfort her everytime. wendy knows that chungha has a lot of things going on. therefore, she tries hard to be there for her because she knows that a true friend is what she needs now. chungha also accompany wendy a lot when she has problems with the other members or the managers.
• member - park "joy" sooyoung (20) - singer in red velvet - secretive, sociable - joy feels bad because her place is suppose to be chungha's. therefore, when chungha is introduced again as the new member of red velvet. joy is happy because she is able to debut again. although joy is not as close to chungha as wendy. she is kind and often help chungha if she needs anything. chungha sensed that joy is not as bad as seulgi, so she opens her heart to joy and they talks a lot during break. mostly about handsome boys and other k-pop stuffs.
• member - kim "yeri" yerim (17) - singer in red velvet - bright, polite - chungha knows that yeri acts all y to her because seulgi told her to. chungha never really hate yeri because she is just following orders. therefore, she will help yeri sometimes by being the older sister, helping her to pack her clothes, cook her some food and many more. this makes yeri more struggle as she is supposed to treat chungha harshly. to yeri, she will still treat chungha good as an older sister when seulgi is not there.
