THE WORLD IS TRULY anais' RUNWAY it varies- anais's fashion is the entire spectrum. most of the time she likes to formal and where high-end brands and jeans that fit her long legs oh so well, other times it can be a skirt that show off her toned legs. hell, even sweatpants and plain t shirts are her favourite.
PRIM AND PROPER ( NOT ) like a good majority of the people in seongnam- anais doesn't follows the dresscode msot of the time. to put it simply- anais' life has always and will always be a show. her birth was the biggest one- the daughter of an affair replaced the stillborn child. the daughter of korean airlines has entailed privillege, most certainly. anais grew up lavishly but at what cost? it's your typical case of parents who work 24/7, leaving you alone with maids and the like to tend and care for your every need- not to mention, the cursed sister rivalry. but anais and annalise ( how matching ) take it to another level. they will fight for anything and will stoop lower than the ground to win. thankfully instead of growing up to be a brat like her dearest sister, anais has become ruthless- and when you're trying to survive in a dog-eat-dog world, it's not a bad thing at all.

EFF IT, I'M GONNA WRITE MY OWN STORYBOOK more or less it's a sleep, rinse, add your daily fight, throw in some other factors, character development, and repeat. seriously- the only thing anais focuses on right now are her grades, gossip girl, partying, and how to either or get rid of daniel.
HIGH SCHOOL ISN'T FOR LITTLE KIDS anais is naturally smart ( some say she posseses an IQ of 130 ) most surely she ranks in the top three ( always at first place, because god knows what her sister would do once she finds out that anais was second place ) and at this rate, would pass as the valedectorian— along with the other #1 ( daniel ) because anais can never have anything of her own, dammnit. of course, this doesn't account anais' power that the teachers happen to be scared of— nor the generous sums that the cho's donate yearly to help the betterment of the school ( and anais. ) she excels particuarly in about every subject- but her favourites are anything related to stem- or science, technology, engineering, and mathmatics. particuarly economics would be the degree anais wants.

want to know a secret? gossip girl will tell you that anais isn't who she says she is. anais isn't the biological daughter of cho yeonghwa, rather that of a torturous love affair between her real father and a secretary who moved back to france after she dropped anais off. want to know another secret? her dearest mother was also pregnant at the same time only to have birthed a stillborn. except her dearest mother didn't know this as all- as far as her mother, dosed up and behind a curtain could realize- she just gave birth to a live, healthy baby girl who they were going to call anais and finally, she could ignite the spark with her husband they once had. it worked out in the end- didn't it? the whole stillborn / anais switch is covered, anais gets the money and the family that she deserves, ryuhoon and yeonghwa passionately love each other again, and the family is happy, until gossip girl s it up. anais' relationship with them is wierd- she's not sure if she hates them for always comparing her to her sister and being typical chaebol parents or if she loves them because they weren't as "chaebol" as other parents- meaning to say they aren't as strict as other parents and let anais have independence. most of the time however, their parents are off vacationing for months at a time, leaving anais the penthouse of a high rise building in gangnam close to seongnam her permanent home for a majority of the year.

before there was seunghee- there was annalise. few people are aware of their relationship ( "it's just a coincidence that we happen to be cho's with an english name- we look incredibly different, don't we? that's because we're not related." ) and the people that do join anais in hating her just as much. annalise was the perfect, golden child. she had the brawns, the brains, and the beauty- and often made waves for just being damn perfect. unknown to everyone- annalise is two faced sweetheart, resting . annalise still retains her queen bee persona- and perhaps why anais would like to push her down ( and she will- yet anais feels no remorse ) she's the biggest antagonist of anais, always putting her down and telling her that she will never be enough- not to mention her parents absolutely adore annalise and constantly compare the two sisters. ("anais, you should be like your sister. look at her, she's manning the hotel section at 20!" ) annalise is one of the reasons for anais' ice queen facade.

FRIENDS MAY OR MAY NOT BE A PAIN IN THE NECK

YOO "HEE-MAN" SEUNGHEE. 17. STUDENT. PLAYFUL, STUBBORN
( "seunggie, let me cuddle you i'm cold." ) it's quite the understatement to call seunghee ( or hee-nim, occasional hee-man because her hair is quite reminscent of he-man's blond hair. ) at one point, people thought that they were siamese twins because they were always together, side by side. rich people tend to bond with other rich people, anais has learned. despite being total opposites of each other it's their shared humour and the feeling of home in each other that brings them together. anais will always be there for seunghee, and vice versa ( i hope so ) they have that type of best friend ship that even three years doesn't do anything to them. they're both aware of each other's quirks and oddities- anais remembering that seunghee absolutely loathes drama ( so therefore anais always stands up for her and helps her get through her problem ) or seunghee offering her best friend a place to crash when the two faced sweetheart is home again.

THE SEONGNAM SOCIAL SCENE.
( " we are such squad goals. " ) seunghee, anais, and jaehyun all run in the same social circle— the top eight people in school; the most influential, popular people. the "gossip girl" circle of the school, is anais' crowd. because so few can climb ranks in school ( for to climb ranks means to de rank people and heaven forbid someone deranks anais. ) they're usually seen eating at the same lunch table and joking around and such. of course, this doesn't entail a lot of arguments and backstabbing- ala gossip girl style.

( "you know what power i hold, don't you?" ) anais made it clear that anyone who messed with seunghee would pay for it. true to that- three months ago the queen b responsible for seunghee's self imposed exile was now the subject of anais' firefighting. she shows absolutely no mercy towards her- even if said queen b is just as prominent ( but never as powerfful ) in the social scene as she is. anais loves to be absolutely cruel to her- ice water buckets, intimidation, using her power to make sure the queen b will never be look at the same again.

jaehyun is literally an angel incarnate for all the right reasons. he's incredibly charming, handsome, wry, and charismatic- the type of boy mothers would love to have as a stepson, the type of son the dads would love to show off. he breaks hearts on a daily basis whenever he refuses his chocaaltes but damn, does he have smooth ways. ot be turned down by jaehyun is enough for some fangirls in seongnam high school— although jaehyun loves to lead ~~some~~ a lot girls around, hence his playboy status.

but please don't let the flower crown and angelic smile fool you. jung jaehyun might as well be the devil incarnate to anais- and only to anais, because only she can see the wolf hiding in sheepskin. perhaps if he wasn't raised around the ideology that "winning is everything" then he wouldn't have been as competitive as he now. ( there is not one but two #1 academic placers in the school- they happen to be jaehyun and anais ) he fights easy and just like anais- he takes pleasure from fighting and throwing around insults. maybe that's why they're meant for each other.
ABOUT born on valentine's day— perhaps that's why he has half of the school girls going for him. he's the heir to asiana airlines- which is korean airline's biggest competitor, and why they've been rivals. he didn't turn up on gossip girl's radar until he moved back from france, fluent in french and english, and had half of the girls already thirsty for him. regardless, he's been enjoying the spotlight much like anais. they're more or less the indentical versions of each other, and why they happen to clash often.

FIRST MEETING
once upon a time, they were best friends. shocking, isn't it? alas, preschool was mostly spent with anais drooling on daniel. that grew into a strong friendship- but what they didn't know was that they were always detined to be rivals. it isn't when jaehyun is sent to france for four years at the age of 10 to be with his father that anais' family finds out that she's been interacting with the enemy. regardless, once anais is truly aware of how much power she can have in her hands- it is there that both start to breed a negative image of each other, all by the will of their parents who don't want their child to be interacting with their rivals. sad, isn't it?

RELATIONSHIP they're dancing somewhere on the borders of rivals, lovers, and best friends— and it's ing confusing. they love to snarl insults amongst other things against each other and always seem to be in a heated fight— yet do rivals laugh at each other, with each other? when they're not fighting— they get along almost too well. eight years and they still haven't changed, and somehow they both remembered each other's quirks and habits like it was yesterday. jaehyun finds himself remembering that her favourite starbucks drink is an iced green tea latter and anais finds herself grabbing some donut holes because she knows the he loves them (she doesn't and yet she buys them anyways— just for him) their shared personas entail humourous conversations that often stretch out into the late nights, only to be forgotten and swept away in their daily fight, later that day. to top it off, god forbid jaehyun looks at anais like that this so called '" happens to drive everyone ing nuts, especially the people themselves. ( even if they're both s ) it's confusing- really. to have someone stare you down like that all while throwing insults at your face. what's even more confusing is how anais seems to be by their fights for dominance. we all know who's gonna top. ( and it's not jaehyun )
THE STORYBOOK 2.0
they were the best of friends— sharing the same pre school and elementary school for most of their lives. when you're 8, the only thing you care about is cooties amongst other trival things. bloodlines and who heirs what didn't matter.

for the record, daniel and anais weren't just best friends. they were too close. and that was the downfall of them- because soon enough they both realize that they're rival heirs. daniel moves to paris for some time as his father manages the french expansion of asiana airlines. and boy, do their parents oppose it.

needless to say, four years is apparently a lot of time to breed hate. by the first year of high school, daniel comes back, and boy is their competition evident. that's all they've been doing- competing against each other. at least it serves as a great motivation to be better, for anais.

SECRET #3 absolutely despises annalise- to the point of pushing her down the stairs this year when anais ing snapped. not even gossip girl is aware of that ( only seunghee ) but anais doesn't even feel a tiny bit of remorse at all.
SECRET #4 does take pills to study- which is something that her sister wouldn't know but would defintely love to know seeing as how annalise would love to rub it in her sister's face that she never took pills and was "naturally smart".
SECRET #5 is the heir to korean airlines and hajin shipping, both incredibly huge companies with billions in profits. ( gossip girl and all her friends, save for jaehyun and seunghee, don't know this. )
