eurovision

so... I'm kind of sad Dami got second place so close to the end. She was really good, by far the jury favorite, and I just liked her. Also, I wanted to see what happened if Australia won the EUROvision song contest - since it has to take place in europe (as far as I know), where would it be hosted 2017? In general, what if a country that's as clearly not europe as australia won?

But well. Jamala has done well too, and in the end it became somewhat political after all... so I hope it will set a sign for peace.

And yay, germany holds its title as last place! With "eleven times as much points as last year" - our host obviously can't calculate eleven times zero - our kpop/anime/cosplay fan who dressed up like a cosplayer and sang a rather random song at least got some points.

I wonder what she thought about Dami Im (or rather Im Dami)... and I wonder if our commentator will learn how to pronounce "Im" any time soon (no long-stretched "ee" -.-)

Though I also kind of liked France this year... I don't know, the song just had something...

1am here right now, I guess I should go to sleep now

The only reason Australia got into the contest last year was because a) it's so big in Australia, almost as big as it is in Europe, and b) as far as I am aware, it was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the contest. So I was under the impression that there would not be a second year for Australia. But I am disappointed that Germany came last. I liked her as soon as I knew she was a Kpop fan. So it's sad that she came last.

Still, coming from the UK, where we've been crap every single year since about 1995, I'm just glad we weren't last.

Australia was so good, a pity that they changed the system.

We got better with these points but it is still a pity how this whole event got into a political event.
Her song was just not that good though her voice is not bad.
And the commentator can learn it when Dami comes again next year xD
