eg: elephants: large, grey, trunk-ed animal ??? *proceeds to imitate an elephant's trunk*

▸ despite having super metabolism and being athletic physically, Ella still has almost extremely translucent , pale white skin, with the occasional freckles. Snow white has nothing on her. (she takes special care to never take pictures of herself with a white backdrop or she'd blend right in.)

PERSONALITY TRAITS : the not-very-smol child > 'the consul' ESFJ
{ + } observant, supportive, passionate, moral-driven, curious
{ − } vulnerable to criticism, attention-seeking, noob, sensitive, inflexible

PERSONALITY :
Ella is ultimately a smol bean who needs to be protected... just kidding, scratch that, she can kick your any day.

(observant) Ella's keen senses allows her to pick up little details others often miss out, and this gives the girl an extensive undestanding of others and their body language. She's able to tell if something is bothering even the best actors and would bother them non-stop until they spill about whatever's bothering them. Basically, don't bother lying to Ella, because she'd sense your lie right away.

(supportive) Yes, you've found yourself a cheerleader! It's Ella, your ever-so encouraging and uplifting buddy. She genuinely wants the best for everyone and that includes you! Ella just finds the need to be an encouraging and positive lil' fluffpuff who believes that taking risks is just a part of life and if your life is ever stagnant, it's because you're not progressing enough. Thus, she genuinely believes that anything can be achieved through hardwork. Also, Ella constantly tries her utmost best to help everyone and be their pillar of support as she believes that as someone who's lucky enough to receive the unconditional love of so many people, she, herself should return the favour and be there for all her loved ones no matter what.

(passionate) For someone who spent 6 years of her life rotting away in a lab, Ella is determined to make up for the lost time and be as productive as possible, trying as many things as her time and her ability will allow. Ella has a general love for learning and trying new things, and paired with her firey passion, it's no wonder Ella is in progress of being the successor to the one and only captain america.

(moral-driven) I mean, duh, she was raised by Steve Rogers... duh. Ella has a strong sense of responsibility and often feels the need to do the 'right' thing. She stays true to her morals even if it means having to stand up to a figure of authority. (which occasionally gets her in trouble in school.) These morals is her prime consideration whenever she makes decisions and her sense of justice is just really strong. She's that one friend who lectures you for 5 hours just because you stole cookies from the cookie jar that one time.

(curious) How could she not be? Ella is literally giant baby who's still learning about the world every single day. She still gets fascinated by things she doesn't understand and is absolutely amazed each time her dad does something new which she hadn't seem before- in which she's bother him to demonstrate to her again and again and beg him to teach her with her huge puppy eyes.  This is also the reason why Ella can never stop talking as her mind is forever racing with thoughts and questions she needs answers for.

(vulnerable to criticism) Ella finds it hard to take criticism. If one doesn't phrase their words correctly, Ella is so sensitive that she'd take everything they say to heart and takes offense. She then proceeds to become super defensive as she has a strong set of moral values and often makes decisions based on her interpretation of these values. In the event that she feels like you're questioning the values she so strongly believes in, if you're anyone other than Steve Rogers, (because he could tell her she's a failure in life and she'd be able to change everything just to make him proud), or Rosette (she knows her sister's totally just joking) please choose your words wisely.
+++ However, Ella just doesn't understand why others are constantly sugar-coating their words around her, she thinks that they are underestimating her, when in reality, they know of how sensitive she is, and are afraid of offending her.

(attention-seeking) Steve has always given her 100% of his attention. I guess Ella just got used to it. Said girl has the tendency to want to feel appreciated, thus, when others don't notice the change, Ella can't help but attempt to fish for compliments, doing randomly exaggerating actions or suddenly talking considerably louder. This is in fact, the exact opposite of Rosette. Ella has found that Rosette tends to shy away from attention sometimes, and can't help but shamelessly encourage her sister to step out of her comfort zone (but only if Rosette is comfortable with it, of course.)

(noob) Just a general feeling you get from Ella when she's not fighting. Her constant need to satisfy her curiousity just allows you to guess from the moment you've met her that she hardly knows what she's doing (even when she does. seriously, this kid is a complete klutz despite her observant personality. She'd watch the videos of olympic divers all day, learning their moves and everything, but when she actually stands on the diving board, she'd probably accidently fall face first into the water.)

(sensitive) A trait which comes with being observant. Another trait I'd blame her enhanced senses for, Ella may often over-analyse body language or read too much into her friends' words and this actually keeps her awake at night thinking about what she did wrong and reflecting upon how she could change it. Though she tries to hide it most of the time, you can easily tell when Ella is troubled, as she is so often the positive, bubbly one, however, she gets lost in her thoughts when she's troubled.

(inflexible) Said girl places a lot of emphasis on doing the right thing and can find it hard to accept other ideas (especially when they oppose what her father has taught her.) Thus, Ella occasionally attempts to push her ideas on others, and this may work at times when Ella's decisions are practical, but really, Ella should learn to accept others opinions and learn to be more open minded while learning that despite what she thinks, her dad is not always right.

warning: long background ahead! scroll to the bottom for tl;dr ; u ;

hope. it's the only thing stronger than fear.
With the tragic murder of Dr Erskine before the miraculous super-solider formula could be commited to paper, Steve Rogers should have potentially been the last beneficiary of the doctor's famous serum. However, a very special pair of twin baby girls were set to change this fact forever. You see, the baby girl was rendered parentless due to their moms not making it through their birth, and their dad ran away the moment he heard about the pregnancy. This pair of helpless baby was left with no one to call family. It didn't help that they were brought into this world in an extremely critical state, premature, 2 months early, and the doctors were deserately fighting to keep them alive. The fate of the pair was just about set, their life would end without having even started...

Until a group of mysteriously concerned well-dressed adults swarmed into the hospital, claiming to be legal guardians of the girls. The nurses were suspicious at first, judging from how it was stated in the records that all of the remaining relatives of the pair were either deceased or uncontactable, but didn't question them as it was presumed that they were the uncontactable relatives... that don't have phones... or e-mails... or something. Frankly speaking, the hospital just didn't want to be responsible for the girls. The nurses concluded that it would not hurt for the poor children to have caretakers, or the hospital might have just given up on their case straight away and ended the girls' life.

After a couple of months, the girls were still extremely weak and sickly, but were, at least, ready to be discharged with the order of regular check-ups. The hospital'd known that there was something shady going on about that group of well-dressed people, so they weren't surprised that that was the last time they'd ever make contact with these suspicious individuals despite telling them about the check-ups. It turned out that they had given the hospital false contact information and identities, and were totally untrackable. The cctv footage of these individuals were sent to the police and it was safe to say that these were now a group of wanted criminals... and for the right reasons.

experiment descendant  - project recreate the super soldier serum.
The girls were soon named experiment #004 & #005, and the previously mentioned group of individuals raised them in a lab, among 4 other children of similar ages, subjecting them to tests, and injecting them with weird chemicals daily, only keeping them alive to act as research subjects, with the hopes of reinventing this super soldier recipe.

Just like that, the girls grew up in the dark, dimly lit lab, having never made contact with the outside world all through their lives there. Her physical state was monitored using machines, while the chemicals were either infused into their meals of injected into them while they were unconsious....

the rescue
On the fateful day of what originally was their 6th birthday, however, the lab was infiltrated by none other than the Avengers themselves. They couldn't abandon this case, especially after the mention of other potential beings with Captain America's abilities. Unfortunately, the kidnappers had foreseen this situation and had already implanted a chip into their human experiments. These chips were designed to explode in the body of the children and let a huge amount of poison into their bloodstreams utimately killing them, destroying their research to disallow others from obtaining it. Unfortunately, their plan succeeded, and the poison killed all of the children instantly..... all except for two. What they didn't foresee, is that they were closer to success and meeting their ultimate goal- (recreating the super soldier serum) than expected....

Experiment #004 & #005 survived the poisoning and their bodies were now stronger than ever, having created a new anti-body to combat that poison, keeping them alive. The chemicals that had been injected into them all their lives was somehow working, and the girls were well on her way to becoming the next super soldiers-

However, there was still a problem. After the kidnappers were arrested, the twins had no where to go, and no known relatives having lived in the lab for all 6 years of their lives. All they had left was each other.... which is where Steve Rogers came in.

Who else was more suitable to train the girls other than the "most successful beneficiary of the super soldier serum", steve rogers, captain america himself.

EHEM. cue Steve "propaganda-tool-only-chance-I've-ever-touched-a-baby-was-that-one-time-during-that-photo-op-session" Rogers.

I mean, all the other Avengers were together and starting, or already started, families- and Steve, as their leader, was still as single as ever (with Natasha occasionally trying to get him and Sharon Carter, together). He looked like the perfect candidate to raise train the girl.

Everyone had originally tried to convince Steve to officially adopt the twins, but he was doubtful that he'd make a good father, and agreed only to help train them. After arrangements were made, all that was left to do was give the girls new names, signifying the start of their new lives ; in which Steve enthusiastically suggested "Rosella" & "Rosette". (based on the Rosie the Riveter posters) The others then concluded on the spot that he would totally make an excellent parent Rosella and Rosette were beautiful names.

Getting used to life in the real world was hard, considering the twins were cooped up all their life. They had always been told that the world had been taken over by aliens and they were in the lab for their own protection, yet now that they had seen how big the world is, they were really confused and had major trust issues at first. However, Steve and the other Avengers slowly gained their trust and ushered them into the ways of the world, from teaching them English beyond answering 'yes' or 'no', to how to wear and change their clothes. Steve especially, spending the most time with them, training them physically to reach their optimum potential. He had started to become really fond of the pair, and started developing an overbearing need to protect them from the harshness of the real world.

Just like that, Steve had made up his mind and on the girls' 7th birthday, he'd done the paper work and officially adopted them.

Now that the twins were 16 and had been with their dad and the Avengers for around 10 years, Steve is now willing to let them go to high school after being homeschooled for their time with him.

tl;dr:
the twins mom didn't make it through her birth >>> their dad ran away after finding out that their mom was pregnant >>> weak little premature twins were left parentless >>> hospital didn't want to take responsibility of them >>> a group of random well dressed people entered the hospital claiming to be their legal guardians >>> were allowed to take custody of them >>> took them to an underground lab and named them "experiment #004" (rosella) & experiment #005 (rosette)>>> used as human test subject for experiment descendant to recreate the super soldier serum >>> lived with them for 6 years of their life >>> lab got infiltrated by avengers >>> kidnappers arrested >>> other test subjects were killed except experiment #004 >>> Steve Rogers agreed to train experiment #004 >>> Steve and the other Avengers with more parenting experience helped raise Rosella & Rosette (the names Steve gave to them to replace experiments #004 ) >>> the twins grew up with overprotective Steve >>> Avengers taught her how to live, act, manners, etc. >>> they are now 16 and Steve thinks they're ready for High School.

+ screaming & edm music (it hurts her overly-sensitive eardrums)
+ sleeping alone (she prefers having someone by her side)
+ bright (sun)light (makes her feel like a vampire burning in the sun, Ella doesn't particularly like being under the sun too, though missions occasionally require this, and Ella wouldn't stop complaining and whining))
+ celery (she can't stand the strong overpowering taste)
+ blood-shed (kinda y dislike for someone who sees it so often)
+ hour-glasses (they frustrate her because she's too impatient to wait for the sand to fall)
+ alarm clocks (sHE CAN'T STAND CONSTANT BEEPING SOUNDS)
+ being wet (not that way, you ert. She just hates the feeling of wet fabric on her skin. Apparently this dislike isn't strong enough for Ella to remember to bring an umbrella everytime she leaves the house though. She'd once used her shield as an umbrella earning weird gazes from passerbys, and got nagged at by Steve for the next few days when she finally returned home. )

+ She's been trying to convince Steve to get them a pet for the longest time, yet Steve has stubbornly denied her for the longest time.
+ Steve named the twins after the propaganda poster, 'Rosie the Riveter'
+ Ella's favourite subjects in school are gym and american history. (Though steve isn't really as helpful as you'd think in that area since he'd give really biased recounts of most of the events he lived through)
+ Ella has the tendency to talk back to teachers. Teachers either love her or hate her, there's no in between. Teachers admire her ability to talk her way out of things and be really convincing, but hates that she often forgets to do her homework and/or gives the dumbest excuses for it.

"dad, uncle bucky just told me that you used to get beat up in the back alleys and he'd have to go down to save you-"
"oh god damn it, rosie, stop hanging out with ol' buck, he's a liar- JAMES BUCHANAN BARNES, GET YOUR OVER HERE."
*bucky and ella makes eye-contact*
"LANGUAGE."

▸ father — Steve Rogers (probably 100+ counting his years on ice) / avengers + fulltime dad/ moral, uptight, cheesy, protective af / close
Tbh, Steve got thrown into parenthood without warning, and he totally didn't expect to be responsible for another life that quick. Frankly speaking, this guy was pretty lost at first. I mean, he'd seen many different parenting styles over the years, but really, which one would work out for the twins? The strict parent? The "cool" parent? The time-out-corner parent? The do-whatever-you-want-and-learn-from-your-own-mistake parent? Which one worked???? Steve was just really lost.

I mean, most of the other Avengers already had kids around that point, but Steve was just being... Steve. After his first love, Peggy passed on. He was just... lost, and now he had a child? Thank god for the Avengers or he'd probably spend the next year attending parenting seminars. When Steve first got custody of the twins, the Avengers helped out a lot, teaching them the basics of human interaction, buying them clothes (Wanda and Nat had lots of fun with that), basically adapting them to life outside of the lab. Little Rosella and Rosette was experiencing so many things for the first time at the age of 6, and it was rather amusing for everyone.

However, once the twins turned 7 and everyone was sure both the twins and Steve were ready to live in each other's company after officially getting the paper work done to adopt them, they slowly started interferring less in the father-daughter bonding times, and left Steve to do his job. As everyone expected, Steve was the best father everyone could ask for, extremely patient, filled with wisdom and knowledge he couldn't wait to pass onto his little ones, Steve was doing well as a dad, and the twins were eternally grateful to him.

Now that the twins were at the post-puberty 16, (the female avengers had received some rather interesting calls in the middle of the day from a whimpering Steve Rogers begging for them to come over immediately because of some "unusual bleeding" one time, or "uh, nat... hey, uh, I- uh- yeah, I think the twins need.... bras- it's- uh, it's that time- yeah...NO I'M NOT TAKING THEM BRA SHOPPING, WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR." another time. "FEMALE AVENGERS... ASSEMBLE!" is now a common joke between Nat and Wanda ) Steve is getting extremely protective of the girls, demanding that they covers up and wears jackets, sometimes even in the summer, and glares at boys who just as much glances in his daughters' way whenever three of them leave the house together. Trust me, you do not want to mess with angry protective Captain America.

( scenic's character )

" come on rosette rogers, don't outshine me, I have more life experience ; - ; "
"14 minutes doesn't count for anything, ella."
"please, I could have totally collected a new cat in neko atsume during that 14 minutes"
"please remind me how I could have possibly been blessed with such an amazing sister who spends her time collecting virtual cats?"
"you love me. ; )"

▸ "my other half" — Rosette Rogers  (16) / Next Avenger Member + full time twin sister + High School student / ISTJ / basically joined at the hip
They were born together, kidnapped together, rescued together, trained together, adopted together... you get the picture. These two know each other inside out and are a force to be reconned with when they're together. You can insult them indivudually, but insult the other twin and you're dEAD MEAT. (unless they're aware of the fact that you're joking, in which Ella would agree with you and join you in picking on her sister.) But really, despite the constant teasing, rosella loves rosette with all her heart, and wouldn't hesitate to jump into a tank full of hungry sharks if the situation calls for it and rosette is in danger. They hardly fight since they're both thankful to have each other, though they can get competitive (esp during frisbee games!) Ella may be the older twin, but its no secret that shes the slightly more immature one out of the two-

SENIOR AVENGERS (ACCORDING TO HOW OFTEN THEY INTERACT)

"I do not look, slash, resemble angry cat in the least bit."
"it's grumpy cat, you cave man."

▸ dad's grumpy friend — James Buchanan Barnes  (100+) / plum lover + full time badass / ella's favourite living fossil.
Steve Roger's (in)famous best friend, and what's left of his past, Bucky is practically Steve's boyfriend brother, and therefore, practically the twin's uncle. He's rather fond of both Rosette and Ella, though Ella's especially been known to attach grumpy cat magnets to his arm whenever he isn't paying attention. Bucky really relates to the twins too, in the way that they were both taken away from their destined lives and put in place to serve other's purposes.

▸  dad's supportive friends — Wanda and Pietro Maximoff (40+) / Avenger members / twin buddies !!!
#TEAMTWINS These two know what it's like to be given powers and not be born with them. They were similarly in the situation where they got experimented on with the scepter which gave them their powers. They sympathise with the twins, and have similar experiences with them. Therefore, they are rather attached to little Ella. When the Avengers first got hold of them and were at a lost as to what to do with them, Wanda'd stepped forward and offered to read the young Ella's memories. It ended with Wanda wrapping the two in a huge warm hug, crying along with the younger girls. (Rosette had broke down too after seeing her twin so shaken.) After being aware of what the poor girls had gone through, Wanda constantly just wants to protect them because she thinks the pair is just too precious. Frankly speaking, Ella is closer too Wanda, though she finds both Wanda and Pietro fun to be around.

▸  dad's cool friend — Natasha Romanoff (40+) / Avenger member
Orphaned at a young age
Raised by individuals unrelated by blood
experimented on from a young age
bestowed with almost inhumane qualities
Yeap, Natasha and Ella have many things in common. They practically have similar backstories, just that Natasha was spared by Clint, leading her to be saved and eventually having to adapt to life with SHIELD, and the twins were saved by The Avengers instead. Natasha feels that they are her chance to give back to fate for allowing her for a second chance in life outside being a trained assasin, thus she's tried her utmost best to help Steve, her favourite fossil raise his children right.

▸  "the bad influence" — Tony Stark (40+) / Avenger member
Steve calls him a 'bad influence' Ella gets confused because he's rich and she was under the impression that many humans liked money. When Ella first met Tony, she was fascinated by how reliant Tony was on electronics, an area Steve hasn't delved that much into, and Tony didn't hesitate to educate her on modern technology, occasionally making joking jabs at Steve's age, in which Ella would laugh politely, slightly confused at his sense of humour. Tony then introduced her to sarcasm and teasing in general. That night, Ella used sarcasm on her father for the first time, expecting to see her father double over in laughter, instead, she watched as her father directed an angry phone call to Mr Stark, citing him as a bad influence. Despite all this, Ella still approached Tony on modern matters her father doesn't understand, and Tony, like the other Avengers, is surprisingly patient in explaining matters to her.

THE NEXT AVENGERS (COLLABS)

( fleetingpocket's oc)

"Ella- that's a bubble gun, not a real gun- "
" . . . oH MY GOD. I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE ; - ; "
"Ella. It's literally pink and made of plastic..."

▸ " rhino mom !!!" — Rhiannon Strange (19) / Next Avenger member, University student / ENTJ / very close
Basically Ella's baby sitter (even though she's perfectly fine of taking care of herself- or so she thinks). Their first meeting was rather notable since little Ella got carried away in her nervous chatter and somehow admitted to Rhiannon that her name reminded her of a "fierce grey animal with a horn like a unicorn" (a rhino . . . ) cOUGHS, the two pretty much developed a rather close friendship after that, Rhiannon constantly looking out for Ella like a protective mother hen.

( amiedmj's oc)

*Aiden enters with a remote in hand*
"Ella! Let's watch b-"
"bA.....SKETBALL? sURE, I LOVE BASKETBALL GAMES OH MY GOD, LET'S WATCH BASKETBALL-"
"I was gonna say 'b-"
"BAR...NEY??? GEEZ, I'M TOO OLD FOR BARNEY HA HA H A H   A H A."
"*holds up 'beauty and the beast' blue-ray disk* BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"
". . . OOOH, yeah sure!"

▸ " ai(dad)en !!!" — Aiden Roux (22) / Next Avenger member/ ESTJ / very close
Ella's pretty friendly with Aiden, since he often helps her with her combat training. Ella loves teasing Aiden and Rhiannon whenever they're together, calling Aiden her dad, and Rhiannon her mom. (while occasionally switching it up and calling Aiden her 'mom' instead, earning herself high-fives with Rhiannon.) Aiden is one of the few who'd found out that she still watches and likes barbie movies and she gets rather paranoid whenever he says anything which starts with the letter 'b'.

( MinRin04's oc)

"wait, so you're saying that marlin and dory swam all the way to sydney to find nemo? "
"nah, the they flew to sydney, because fishes obviously fly, duh. Fish airplanes. Technology, wow."
"THERE ARE AIRPLANES WHICH FISHES CAN BOARD ??? WHAT ? OH MY GOD- ... wait, how do the fishes comunicate with the human pilot- oh, so the pilots can talk to animals ? THAT'S SO COOL."

▸ " badass sass" — Katarina Romanoff-Barton (20) / Next Avenger member / caring, calm, sarcastic, blunt / older sister figure
One of the next avengers ella actually met beforehand, Ella and Kat had previously met when Ella was hanging around Natasha. Their friendship mostly consists of Kat being sarcastic to Ella, causing Ella to be confused and taking what Kat says literally- in which Ella would run off to bother someone asking if what Kat told her was true,(which obviously wasn't because that's how sarcasm works, but Ella just doesn't get it-) and the particular person being extremely confused  Ella often goes to Kat for help when she needs advice on anything as she knows that Kat wouldn't hesitate to speak her mind, but Ella appreciates the honesty. People tend to hide the truth from her, thinking that she's too innnocent to understand or comprehend things, or to simply accept criticism, but Ella can handle more than they think, (she obviously doesn't notice how defensive she tends to get- though she tones it down whenever kat gives her a blunt comment, since she knows kat doesn't mean any harm.) dun dundun.

"Hey! You're cap's kid, no? I'm Alexavier, but Xavier's fine."
"You're right! The name's Rosella Rogers, but the others usually just call me 'Ella' ! *salutes while beaming at him* Nice to meet you, saviour!"
"uh- it's xavier. X-A-V-I-E-R."
"*blushes slightly before mumbling* S..S.. Saviour?"
"Xavier."
"saviour?"
"yeah, saviour, okay then. I can live with that."

▸ Alex"saviour" — Alexavier Pierce-Hill (23) / Next Avenger member / maternal, easygoing, honest / overly-protective older brother figure
Honestly, Ella knows that Alexavier, or 'saviour' as Ella calls him, loves to spoil her, and she ain't complaining. She gets along with him relatively well, though she doesn't really understand why he treats her like she's a fragile porcelain doll which could break at any moment. I mean, once Ella got a paper cut and Alexavier happened to be in the room. He almost called in an ambulance before the cut disappeared a few seconds later and Ella had to prove to him that she was fine-

"..."
"..."

▸ " the intimidating senior" — Odette Maximoff (17) / Next Avenger member/ aquaintances
Ella's seen odette around multiple times whenever she visited the maximoffs with her dad, but never really said anything to her. In fact, Ella is rather intimidated by her, seeing how strong she is with her multiple abilities and strong academics. When Ella first caught sight of the elder on her first day of school and unfortunately made eyecontact, Ella had to remind herself time and time again that Odette was simply Pietro's daughter, and there was nothing to be afraid of. Odette had seen a familiar face at school on that day, but was slightly confused at the deer-in-the-headlights look Ella gave her, followed by a lobsided smile accompanied by a sense of hesitance. Don't misunderstand, Ella isn't afraid of her, Ella isn't really afraid of anything, really, but Odette just seems really cool in her eyes and Ella doesn't feel worthy of knowing her. (Basically, Ella walks around with a 'senpai notice me' look plastered on her face whenever Odette is around)

(Ella doesn't have any friends her age since she just spends most of her time around her dad, or his friends, aka the Avengers. She's homeschooled and hardly leaves the house. When she does, she's once again, with her dad, thus, Ella doesn't really have many opportunities to meet new people. However, when she does, she has many weird insights and stories to share that she has no problem keeping them entertained. The majority of her friends are older than her though, so when she meets others younger than her, she's totally at a lost as to how to entertain them, especially babies or todlers which she avoids, with the fear of hurting them. Also, she's kinda sligtly jealous that they've grown up with a perfectly normal life with loving parents. Not surprisingly, Ella r e a l l y gets along with the elderly, as they totally dote on her innocent looks and how polite she is. This can totally be credited to how much time she spends with her dad, the living fossil. )

ALIAS : ESPERANCA
Portugese for 'hope'. Well, Rosette was the first to select her superhero alias, and it was in portugese... Ella was feeling lazy that day. She'd initially wanted to plainly be called 'ella' but her dad insisted on having an actual alias. ("no dad, I'm never gonna be taken seriously if I named myself 'miss america' I'd sound more like a beauty queen than a superhero") and so ella half-heartedly searched through the a random english-portugese translator dictionary, and searched up 'superhero-like' words, like 'peace', 'freedom' and all the cheesy words her dad uses in his speeches, but 'esperanca' eventually caught her eye.
"I chose this name mostly because 'esperanca' and 'ella' both started with an 'e' and ended with an 'a'- *Steve clears his throat ; Ella coughs before blurting out the first thing which came to mind* I mEAN- Hope is crucial in the most dire of situations and can help even the most miserable person feel better with the thought that there'd be a better future, and I want to be, uh- the- ah! The light blinking at the end of the dark road, the hope for the people, the hope for a better life." *ella gives herself a mental highfive for her exceptional bull-ting abilities*
But really, Ella's main motivation for choosing this name is actually legit because both ella and esperance start with an 'e' and end with an 'a'

POWERS :

Reganerative and Accelarated healing - This comes in handy when you are born a premature baby who needed to be incubated for 2 months. When one of the kidnapper scientists injected her with a certain chemical, they saw experiment #004 change drastically over the span of the next few days, her cheeks becoming slightly flushed and something about her eyes just seemed a lot more alive. Despite the effects not being as apparent and instant as the Super Soldier Serum's, Ella was blessed with accelarated healing allowing her to recover from injuries almost instantly. They'd also discovered that she was immune to all infections and diseases, as she didn't get sick even when viruses were injected directly into her bloodstream. Similarly, alcohol, drugs, toxins and poisons do not affect her. Gun shots too, only momentarily wound her, leaving little to no scars behind. *graphic* during one specific test, they'd amputated her entire arm and found that once they held the said limb back in place, in a matter of seconds, it was as if nothing had happened and her entire arm had rapidly regenerated. (she does not have the ability to regrow limbs though.)

Enhanced senses + Sense focusing - Ella's five senses were miraculously heightened, allowing the girl to be super sensitive to changes and extremely observant. She's also able to focus her senses by blocking out others ; which comes in handy when she's after something specific. This power is also the reason why it's extremely difficult to surprise Ella... Except when she's focusing of course. Sense focusing only allows her to concentrate on a certain sense at once, thus, when she's too busy focusing on detecting certain tastes, she'd be unable to tell if someone is about to land a punch directly to her face as she'd be unable to see. That's why Ella tries to avoid sense focusing as she feels uncomfortable and vulnerable only being able to use one of her senses at a time. Her heightened senses has also allowed her to predict her oponent's moves whenever she gets into a physical fight, as she can tell whenever her opponent is about to punch her, etc.

Night Vision - an extension of her enhanced sight, Ella has the ability to see clearly in darkness. While other kids her age were whining about being afraid of the dark, Ella was having fun tracing movements in her surroundings, studying that owl outside her window casting creepy shadows into her room.

Enhanced Strength - Ella may be able to lift a grown man up and throw him across the room, split fire wood with her bare arms just like her father, and send people flying just from mere punches or kicks, but she has her limits. Don't be going around expecting Ella to stop a whole helicopter from taking off with her bare hands. She may be strong enough to slam through solid walls and break through reinforced glass, but her arms, alone, ain't that strong. Though- come on, she's pretty strong for her age & size

▸
Ice Healing -Ella discovered this power by accident. She has the ability to heal others by absorbing frozen energy from low temperatures found in the atmosphere or her surroundings, renewing the victim's damaged cells, allowing wounds to stop bleeding. When she's able to draw energy directly from ice, frost, or surroundings below the 0°C mark however, she'd be able to draw enough energy to completely close the wounds, healing them. She had somehow discovered this power when she'd stopped in the street to help a bleeding kid clean his wound after he'd fallen one winter morning and somehow miraculously closed his wounds just by touching it when she was about to clean it. Apparently one of the scientist's experiments may have given her this mysterious ability, but Ella has yet to find out why and how. The only downside to this power is the obvious one- the fact that this power can't be utilised unless she comes in contact with enough frozen energy.
( ella doesn't really know how to use this powers properly since she has no idea how it was created or how she'd come to have this ability, or even how her body is able to draw energy from low temperatures to heal others. Hell, she hasn't even tried using this ability that much, only using it whenever someone has to 'ice' their wounds, in which she would enthusiastically volunteer to help the victim, get the ice, and heal the wound using the ice while applying the ice to the wound)

 WEAPONS :

shield
What kind of father would Steve be if he allowed his daughter to be mini Captain America without giving her a shield similar to his signature one? Another reason why Ella's 7th birthday changed her life so significantly, is the fact that Steve had demanded that Tony make his daughters matching shield so they would not only be able defend themselves, but show off to everyone proudly that they were going to carry on his legacy as his daughters. (Also, he loved the fact that he could be all matchy-matchy with them. It makes him giddy with excitement just at the thought of it, and he swells with pride everytime he sees his daughters wielding their shields)
Ella's shield is a perfect replica of her father's in appearance, though the shield was made with adamantium instead. (she occasionally borrows her dad's steel replicas which tony had made previously as she didn't find the need to carry around her actual adamantium shield 24/7) SImilar to her dad's it is used as both an offensive and defensive weapon. In fact, Steve often plays frisbee with the twins to help train their aim and accuracy when throwing this weapon and whenever Ella uses her shield, she just imagines the battle as a really intense frisbee game. When not in use during battle, Ella carries the shield around on her back, just like her father or a ninja turtle. Ella mostly uses the shield as an offensive weapon, unlike her sister, and stereotypical shield wielders. She prefers using it like a boomerang to knock out her enemies. (with the knowledge that the shield would probably temporarily knock out her enemies and not kill them.) She figured that her enhanced healing would makeup for the wounds she'd receive from her enemies attacks and is confident with fighting them off with her barehands.

various guns

( refer to abilities: expert marksman for an explaination as to how ella got her knowledge of these weapons.)
Ella usually brings a good ol' fashioned revolver (she'd chosen this particular revolver as she'd thought the carvings on it were pretty-) with her on missions as she usually has a gun holster strapped to her chest underneath her leather jacket, but has an extensive knowledge of various firearms. In the event she loses her revolver or runs out of ammo in any particular situation and a random gun is into her hands in the middle of a mission, Ella would probably know how to use it. Ella tries her best to not aim at any vital organs when she shoots as she generally avoids killing her enemies, but due to her good aim, she'd have no physical incapibilities of shooting to kill if the situation calls for it.

ABILITIES :

Expert marksman - After catching Angelina Jolie's take on Lara Croft on TV one night, Ella begged Steve to take her to a shooting range to gain some experience with guns. Though her father denied her at first due to the fact that he found her too young to be well versed in weaponary. Choosing to focus more on hand-to-hand combat and martial arts. The first time Ella was taken to a shooting range was when she was 14, and steve decided that she was old enough to handle the weapon. Naturally, Ella handled the pistols quite well and Steve had to intervene and tell her to miss a few shots on purpose after she shot down the targets five times in a row on her first try. After that certain outing, Steve didn't want to waste the talent and taught her all he knew the use of firearms, and even letting her try knive throwing. (they used fruits as targets and had a huge fruit salad afterwards)

at the shooting range
"Sir, your daughter is a natural!"
"Ha..ha . .. ha h ..a, yeah she's been... taking lessons since she was ten... aha ah a..."
"I thought you said this was her first ti-"
"I didn't want there to be too much pressure on my little girl- right Rosie?"
"*trying not to full on burst into a fit of laughter* right.... totally, I'm like, really well trained in guns, pew pew, these are my life."
"aha ha... ha.. ha"

Skilled Combatant & Martial Artist - Though she has yet to reach her father's levels of mastery, Ella's pretty darn badass. She has an extensive knowledge of melee combat and under her dad's training, has some pretty killer moves. Her dad doesn't really specify and name his moves when he teaches them to her, but she recognises some elements of taekwondo, akido, american boxing, and jiu-jitsu. It also helps that her enhanced sight allows her to see past the speed of both bullets and her opponent's attacks, thus allowing her to dodge out of the way quickly, in order to tire out her opponent before beating them to the ground. Ella has been known to have destroyed several punching bags along the years.

Talented acrobat - Her father assumed that she'd be more interested in learning acrobatics and gymnastics as opposed to being trained in combat when she was younger but was proved wrong by Ella who enjoyed training in both areas as she grew older. Despite all this, Ella is rather flexible, and paired with her determined and daring spirit, is rather good at utilising flips in her offensive moves. Wether to dodge attacks or simply show off to her enemies and intimidating them, Ella does not have any issues replicating her dad's stunts and has a few tricks of her own up her sleeve.

 ▸
Premonitions / Visions - This isn't really something Ella can control, but somehow, Ella always feels uneasy whenever something bad is about to happen, and this feeling is usually true. Recently, however, she's been getting unusual dreams in which she wakes up from with a serious headache, where she gets visions of impending doom. These dreams can be visions of someone being murdered, and the Next Avengers, strangely enough, being sent to investigate this murder case the next day, or simply of failing the next calculus test, but Ella has no idea how these visions came to be. She gets pretty pissed that her physical wounds can be healed with the blink of an eye, but the headaches following her preminitions torture her for a considerable amount of time (once, the headache even lasted until the situation which happened in her vision, occured.)

next team

how do you feel about the new team? :

▸ *listens intently to the interviewer before taking in a huge breath and starting* Uh, they fascinate me... everyone's so different, I'm curious as to how everyone is going to get along and work well together. There's definitely a lot we can learn from each other. I mean, dad brought the Avengers together, torn them apart at one point... would we do the same? I hope we'd get along though- I really need friends closer to my age, I mean- being 16 and your only friend being your sister, your dad and his friends is rather... lame? That seems to be what they imply in movies afterall- yes, Mr Stark told me a thing or two about searching up movies online. The internet is such a great place, I'm glad it exists. Anyway,  I wonder if we'd get along as well as the Avengers eventually did? They're such a diverse group of people, yet when they come together to meet a common goal? BOOM, they're unbeatable. Wait... did I go off topic again? *clears throat* Yeah, the other kids seem nice, I doubt we'd have that many problems... right? Even if we do, I'm sure we can overcome anything as a team. We just need to think and communicate more with our mouths instead of our fists. Fighting should be our last resort. *nods, a determined glint in her eye* Dad always stressed about that. How are we gonna beat the bad guys and be all badass if we're too busy beating ourselves up? Also, I've seen what the others can do, and I can say that I'm rather intimidated. Uh, some of em' are pretty strong, not to mention how most of them are older than me- *furrows her brows slightly* Eh,  I just can't wait to get to know the others to be honest, building our little family and becoming like our parents sounds really cool! *beams excitedly* I have a good feeling about us, and I hope we'd be able to make leave a positive impact on this world. We have so much potential to achieve to much and I'm determined to unlock this hidden potentia..l. OH YEAH, I ALMOST FORGOT- *interviewer winces at ella's sudden burst of enthusiasm and ella mouths a quick 'sorry' before blushing slightly and lowering her voice* uh, I just wanted to add, that if anyone in the team, anybody at all... tries to hurt or even bully my sister, I swear- I'll... I'll... I'll think of some really scary way of getting back at them. Mmmhmm, they'll learn not to mess with the roger fambam !!! *nods, slightly determined*

how is your relationship with everyone in the team? :

▸ ... *leans in* to be honest, I haven't really talked to them yet. *blushes slightly*... well, except rosette of course- oh, oh! There's Kat too. She's amazing, of course. As for the others.... I mean, I've seen and acknowledged some of them whenever I visit and hang around their parents, but dad is always just too over protective of Rosette and I, and he's afraid that something would happen, something about teenages and hor... horhones? hornones? I didn't really catch that last bit, dad was mumbling.... but as I mentioned before, I'm sure, once dad allows for it, I'd get along with them just fine. Even if they hate me, I'd bug them and show them my charm, then, they'll change their minds! . . . besides, if they dislike me, it's their loss anyway. *flips hair dramatically* Myfavouritememberoftheteamwouldhavetoberosettethough- *coughs* don't tell her I said that, she'd probably tease me for life. I HAVE AN IMAGE TO UPKEEP AS THE OLDER SISTER.

what is your position in the team? How do you feel about it? :

▸ Position of the team? I know you're expecting me to tell you about how good of a leader I am, and how extremely charismatic and how I can hype the team up with my extremely motivational speeches like my dad can, but in reality .... *blinks rapidly* I- I'm not really sure how the others see me as. Though I guess I'm one that the team can always count on, no matter what. I want the others to know that I'll always be there for them and that I've got their backs no matter what. To be honest, I aspire to be the fighting force of the group, never running or giving up on a fight. Even if the others are feeling discouraged, I hope to be the one who stays positive and continue fighting, encouraging them and pushing them to their limits, never backing down, and in turn, motivating them to do the same *smiles shyly* Basically, a cheerleader. I see myself as a cheerleader, constantly trying to motivate the others. How I feel about this position... hmmm, *taps my chin as if deep in thought; shrugs* I'm just excited and thankful to be included in the team, it doesn't matter how big or small of a part I play, as long as I can be of service to the world and meet my purpose in the Next Avengers.... ... ... ... ... *interviewer waves hand in front of ella's face as she seems to be deep in thought ; ella snaps out of it* ah, sorry about that, I was just... I hope Rosette learns that she's really more powerful and stronger than she believes herself to be. She isn't as loud and expressive as me, and she tends to shy away from the spotlight. She's amazing though, I wish she'd be more confident... I'M SERIOUS ABOUT KEEPING THIS INTERVIEW HUSH HUSH THOUGH- *interviewer winces once again* ooops- ssh, sorry, I got too excited... again. *grins sheepishly*

did you want to be apart of the team? or were you forced? :

▸ Of course! The moment I heard the possibility of there being a new team of Avengers, I was suuuper excited. Who wouldn't be? I mean- psh, no I wasn't eavesdropping on anyone's conversations, and psh- no I wasn't convinced that I needed to be part of this team even before I was asked to be in it- *sweats nervously* aaaanyway, nah, dad didn't force me, he never forces me into anything I'm uncomfortable with, he's really understanding : ) the best dad a girl could ever want, really.

LOVE INTEREST : Son of Hulk, Koda Grayson Banner (Yukiboo's OC)
BACK UP LOVE INTEREST : Chloe Martinez (Chloe Grace Mortez)

PERSONALITY

▸ Ella is intrigued by him to say at least. She can tell he's rather guarded when it comes to expressing himself, but she somewhat understands his situation. somewhat. His rational and insightful personality keeps Ella curious, and she feels a sense of tranquility when she's with him. (though many people who don't know him well enough have told her time and time again to stay away from him because he's 'dangerous'.) Dangerous? Or just misunderstood, Ella's positive that Koda isn't the monster others deduced him to be. Besides, Koda has a more organised and well planned out life than Ella would ever have. (her life is a mess in case you've haven't noticed)

back up:
{+} caring, really sweet, sociable, decisive, domineering
{-} occasionally ertic, rebellious, somewhat arrogant, impusive, likes to question authority

LOVE STORY

▸ Ella sure does know how to make a first impression, because the moment she found out that Koda had a werewolf form, she'd ignored everything everyone had ever warned her about, and ran up to him, attempting to pat him on the head- "wHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU TURN INTO A WOLF, WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO HAVE FUR ERMAHGERD IT MUST FEEL GREAAAT- coughs I mean, hi, I'm Rosella Rogers . . . Can we do that again? I felt like I messed up my intro-"

"what do you mean you're dangerous, I once had my arm torn off and it healed a-okay the moment the amputated arm was put back in place- was that tmi? I'm sorry- *grins sheepishly"

▸ Ella often brings her school work and projects to his lab to finish up since she loves watching Koda tinker around. Also, Steve's nagging gets tiresome after a while eventhoughshe knows he means well. This idea is rather perplexing to her sister though, since Rosette still gets freaked out at the thought of labs, whereas her sister was spending her free time hanging around a genius scientist?

▸Ella often tries to show off her strength whenever Koda is around during trainings or whenever they're on missions because she wants him to acknowledge her abilities. However, Koda notices her effort, but chooses to stay silent and pretends he doesn't notice her sneaking glances in his direction whenever she throws an especially strong punch towards the poor punching bag. He finds it rather amusing how Ella is trying so hard to impress him, actually.

*ella and koda facetiming*
"I've got my eye on you, Ella *zooms in on his eye*"
"geez, don't worry, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself remember ???"
"who was the one who brought a pink bubble gun out for a mission-"
"who told you- geez that was one time ; - ;"

back up:
▸ close school friends who eventutally fell in love after spending a considerable amount of time hanging out. chloe constantly watches over ella, helping her to adjust to school life and easing her into the school's social hierarchy on ella's first day. chloe's  an art student, more of the rebellious, self-expressive type, yet she's really sweet and caring. Steve sees this in her, so he's constantly weary of chloe being a bad influence and bugs her about it, but he understands that she genuinely cares for ella and tries to limit his nagging.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS basically, their relationship revolves around simply enjoying each others company. they can literally be in a room and be totally silent, both concentrating intently on their own projects and still feel comforted by each other's presence. (though the silence wouldn't last too long since ella has a short attention span and would often times looks over to Koda's working figure and begin asking random questions about the projects he's working on)

back up : Chloe had a boyfriend, but she subsequently broke it off with him after he complained that she was spending too much time with Ella. After her breakup, Chloe was fine, since she'd stop having feelings for him after a certain someone entered her life.

ENDING
When some of the others first realised that Ella was spending a significant amount of time around Koda, some of them had sat her down and told her to be careful. It wasn't that they'd saw him as a threat or anything, but Ella was young and many of her older aquaintances knew of Koda's occasional unpredictability. Even Steve was skeptical of their friendship at first, originally questioning their interactions. However, after Steve had talked to Koda and got to know him better, he decided to put his trust in the kid, since he'd seen how protective Koda could get around Ella, and how he seemed to be totally relaxed around her. He decided that he was not a threat like some had previously assumed. He wasn't really concerned with age after all, I mean, he experienced world war II- ( !!! however, Steve doesn't hold back when reminding Koda of his deal, and if he'd ever decided to do anything funny, how he'd find himself thrown halfway across the earth !!! ) Ella is aware of the , but has such a strong trust in Koda that she doesn't think it matters. They're pretty close as friends, and their mutual respect for each other is evident in their interactions. Koda is rather positive about waiting for Ella, and Ella has placed a priority on both her education and the team, but that doesn't stop the two from spending a significant amount of time together.

back up: a fluffy confession, and Ella and Chloe ending up together, and dating behind Steve's back at first, as Ella was unsure if Steve would accept their relationship. Though, it'd be revealed later that Steve had known for awhile, and that (insert one of the next avenger member's) isn't that good at keeping secrets, and he was okay with Ella and Chloe dating.

booyouwhore : yui

LAST WORDS : I swear I spend way too much time on these. uh uh, my app is really long-winded, I hope that's okay! It got a little messy in the process too- I hope Ella's character still got translated well though ! Ella's just such a precious baby, istg. +++ I've been way too much into the MCU after the civil war hype, so I was really excited when I found your fic! I hope you fell in love with this little cinammon bun just like I did! ♡

psst, I hope you don't mind that I casually left sharon carter out and chose to let steve adopt the twins instead ; - ; i mean, i don't have anything against steve x sharon, but i don't particularly ship them in the mcu either-

SCENE SUGGESTIONS (?) : eep, I just have so many ideas bc I love the concept of this fic so much and asdfghjkl. yep, so scene 'suggestions' bc I have too many and I don't want to pressurise you into thinking that you'd have to include everything : <

▸ Everyone teams up and plays a game of frisbee with Rosella/Rosette/Cap's shield. Some of them totally have no control over it, and others surprisingly have really good control. (kinda like that scene where the Avengers were trying to lift Thor's hammer. )
▸ Ella being clumsy and half the team asks if she's okay simultaneously. In which Ella unexpectably answers with a sarcastic remark about not being okay, surprising everyone.... except Kat who almost died laughing in the corner with the knowledge that Ella'd learn 'the art of sarcasm 101' from her.
▸ The team interacting with pets / animals ??? It'd be funny to see the tough characters squealing over how they'd die because the animals were too fluffy! Maybe they save a pet store or the SPCA from villains or something ??? idek but it'll be cute !!!
▸ The original Avengers mentoring the Next Avengers (parents x children moments +++ jealous children teasing their parents about liking the other next avengers more than them.)

▸ MAXIMOFF TWINS X ROGERS TWINS INTERACTIONS.
▸ Conflicts between the Next Avengers and resolving the problem with cheesy apologies. (like being handcuffed together for a day, or being locked in an empty room together)
▸ Something going wrong, and ella has to kill someone / kills someone innocent and she feels really really guilty because of it. afterwards, she has nightmares about this person's death. Perhaps this would be resolved wih the realisation that some major enemy had been finding their way into ella's dreams and manipulating her thoughts (through emotional manipulation maybe?) or the other next avengers sit her down and help her get over the killing while explaining to her that killing the person would have eventually been neccassary.

▸ One of the missions go wrong after a conflict breaks up among certain members of the Next Avengers during a particular mission, and a member of the Next Avengers is kidnapped and held captive by the enemy. The Next Avengers, after consulting with their parents, come up with an elaborate plan and infiltrate the bad guy's plans and get their team mate back !
▸ News about the next avengers spread around Ella and Rosette's school, and the students gain interest in this particular group of next-gen superheroes. They start a fanclub which causes some buzz and excitement about the next avengers in school. Rosella joins the 'fanclub' as a joke and she actively points out how cool Esperanca is ( x )  ( x )  while secretly taking note of members of the fanclub who dislike Alturista and holding a grudge against them. Basically, Ella controls what these 'fanclub' members think of the team.

"you humans are so petty and tiny."

"thanks for taking the time to get to know me! I may not be the most interesting person, but I don't have that many friends and you seem like a really nice person ^  ^ ♡"

Hey, I love your app. I was wondering if my character Koda (Son of The Hulk) develops a brother/sister relationship with Rosella? ^^
