The nickname is generally used by everyone, because he's that infamous for it. "Books are alive. If you hurt them, you will lose the essence and soul of its art."
- MATTHEW ; An English name given to him by his mother, typically only his family uses it. Fellow English-speakers would address him as Matthew too.
- RICH KID ; His dismissive attitude with the general public and well-known family backgroumd has everyone envious. Most of his classmates just address him by "Rich Kid" even if they know his name, not that Minsoo really minds. He doesn't have to remember their names too then.

//: IDENTIFICATION
FACECLAIM: Jeon Wonwoo (SVT)
BACK UP FACE CLAIM: N/A

HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 179cm + 58kg
APPEARANCE: Minsoo albeit being a quarter English, takes after his parents' asian traits more. Admittedly, he is pretty visually appealing, as one can expect from a child of an ex-model. He tends to sport a stylish haircut put in place with hair gel. He had only recently dyed his natural black hair a shade of brown after being accepted into Sky High. It had been intended to signify a new start. Oh, a new start it was.
CANDID SHOTS:

//: BEHAVIOURAL OBSERVATION
TRAITS:
(+) clear-headed, knowledgable, eloquent, intelligent, meticulous
(/) reserved, independent, dedicated
(-) stubborn, cruel, inconsiderate, cold, domineering

Born with a golden spoon, it really is no surprise as to how Minsoo is as a person. To start off, he's been taught to never lose a sight of his prey or goal by his father. "Always have a precise goal, make sure that's what you want and follow through to attain it." Minsoo has always abided by these words. Once he's laid out his plans for the day or simply an ultimate goal, it's highly unlikely for him to change it. Another line his father had imparted to him was to stay calm in any situation. "Lose your calm and you lose yourself." Honestly, this was something he had never thought would come into play in his life. He had led a pretty calm life after all. But, with how this school was, it was highly likely he'd be chanting his father's words like a mantra. It allowed him to keep his breathing and thinking stable in situations of emergency so he could formulate plans of saving his own . Speaking of emergencies, he speaks with class and caution to every diction he uses. That honestly helps out a lot when trying to get through to people, in which case he doesn't really bother doing thanks to his reserved nature. Not to mention his deep-sounding voice, making him sound even more believable and trustworthy. His grasp on a large vocabulary trove just accentuates his intelligence even more. Don't mistake him for someone who just speaks out of a book, he's genuinely smart.

Topping nearly every class except physical education with flying colors, he was on his own level, even placing on national ranks upon taking national exams. Well, that was all him on his own of course. He was never one to ask for help, people of his level could accomplish everything by themselves as long as they put their heart to it. The stubborn Minsoo would never do anything against his will, that applying here too. And true to that belief, he worked the best alone. Somehow, his grades would always drop when there's teamwork involved, affecting his near perfect scores and irritating him to no end. But in all truth, it was mostly due to his own lack of acceptance and compromise. He would only do things his own way, which would cause the split in teamwork. With him usually doing most of it. And that was it. Disliking group activities is one thing, being unsociable is another. Always on his book, or staring off into space as he thinks, you would barely hear him utter a single word unless needed. The only person in class he ever only talks to is probably the class chairperson for admin matters of course. His social circles limited, his sense of humour is naturally warped too. He led a dull life, and with no friends, there was naturally no need to crack jokes either apart from a few smart puns, sarcastic drip-drops and smart comebacks. His life in school was practically made up of "Yes"s and "No"s. Rumor has it if you spark his interest and talk to him for more than five minutes without being bored out, it would start raining and a rainbow would appear after, possible good luck might even befall you.

Watching how his family itself works, Minsoo grew immune to the callous ways of businessman that would stop at nothing to get at their goal. He himself was the same, honestly, he wasn't sure if the humane part of himself was still safely tucked in there. When thinking about it, it struck him that he'd probably resort to the worst of ways to save himself, or anything (maybe in the future, anyone) he cared for. That's why he kept books close, they were another reminder to his humanity that it was existent.

//: BACKGROUND
His background really wasn't a secret or even anything close. Everyone knew. Oh Minsoo, son of a popular ex-model, now actress and an influential CEO that works with shopping malls. Wasn't his life perfect, he was rich, and had literally been bathing in riches since birth. A rumor about some sort of serum to strengthen the child's body had been the rage in the rich community back then, Minsoo's parents were no less in being caught up in it and had signed the papers even before Minsoo's birth. Apart from his parents, he also had an older (ex-)brother, Insoo, that had been disowned and kicked out of the household when Minsoo had been 7. What rich-man household drama plot could have befell their family, you might wonder. Insoo was 20 then and had been working hard to climb up his father's corporate ladder. He was desparate to claim his rightful spot as the older son before Minsoo had fully grown up. Yet, whatever he did, it was never really evident to their father. Their father only ever had eyes for the younger. It was obvious that their father preferred Minsoo over Insoo a lot. The reason behind this was the day Minsoo had been born, it had been the start of the 1998 World Cup, and their father had clinched a few huge big deals using this opportunity, truly ascending their household into one of riches. Following that, there were many instances that Minsoo had proved to be his father's lucky charm, in turn gaining much favour from their father. Insoo had been jealous, no, he had been furious. To reach his goal, he decided, he'd have to first, eliminate his little brother.

In which, he proceeded to do. By having Minsoo's personal maid lure the young boy to a secluded area, staging a kidnapping. Insoo had been greedy and devious, it was a great chance than to gain a huge ransom from his father without having to inherit the company yet. This exact greed had also led to his downfall. Their father had connections with the local police and it wasn't long before they cracked the impulsively and poorly staged case driven by greed. It wasn't till his wits end that Insoo admitted to his wrongdoings, and although the family had dropped charges against him to not blow up the matter, they had taken him out of the family registry. And just like that, Insoo had lost everything, scarring Minsoo in the process. Their father had left Insoo nothing at all, rendering him a life of poverty. Only after did Minsoo learn, throughout the entire incident, his parents had still been at work. He had hungout at the police station for a day before the family chauffeur had been notified to pick the young boy up. The one who had worked the hardest for him was the head detective of the station, Cha Youngmin, also known as his righteous godfather. Young Minsoo had felt merely disappointment then, his parents had prioritized work over him. But whatever happened after changed his simple mindset. Instead of simply letting Minsoo rest, his father had warned the young boy of age 7, that this was the result of not having an appropriate, direct goal and not planning meticulously. It was only then, that Minsoo finally realized and woke up to the reality of how scary of a person his father actually was.

After that, Minsoo had done nothing but been put under the pressure as heir of the corporation. He studied and met expectations. The world was scary and he could see it. The only way to rise was to work hard. He had no choice but to do so. He followed the prim and proper formal ways of his mother, who never really did act like a mother, learnt life lessons from his scary dad. Only at the end of the day to realize he had all along been alone, and his only relief were the amount of books in his library, where he'd usually be in for most part of the day. Also, his godfather would visit him from time to time, bringing him new stories from his origin of work, perking Minsoo's interest in all the mysteries.

When Minsoo had finally hit the age of 18, he had been transferred into Sky High by his parents for no apparent reason. He hadn't intended to. He was forced to. It was annoying really, having to adapt to a new place. He couldn't bear leaving his library, that was his reason. That was quickly dismissed by both his parents. "Go there and make our family proud, you're the only one left." were their last words. The only one left? If only they knew the situation here. With how he had been here for a year, it was safe to say, he probably be outed even before he got the chance to be heir.

//: DAILY ROUTINE & ADAPTATION
On a weekday, you'd be able to spot Minsoo in the assembly area 5 minutes before it starts. He wakes up in time for breakfast, gets prepped according to his scheduled timetable. Then he'd be stuck in class for most of the day apart from going to the cafeteria to get food, and then going to a bench with a tree overshadowing it to enjoy his lunch. After class ends, he heads back to the dorms. Sometimes he comes out for a breath of fresh air or goes into town to buy essentials, but whatever he does, he's usually alone. Until, some guy started tagging along.

If he had to admit, he  thinks he had adapted pretty well. Still he had barely managed to sought out a few hiding places here and there that were near foolproof, or so he thought. Didn't really matter to him though, if he were alone, it was always easier to sneak or run away. The so called "clean-up" simply struck him as a mere logic and strategy game, just with your actual life on the bet. But in any case, he was completely alright with it, he enjoyed challenges from time to time after all.

"He's just always there. I swear. Don't ask me why."

Minsoo was simply having lunch on his usual bench when he realized the usual , appropriate sunlight that got past the branches hadn't been showing through as much. He had been more than slightly put off by the absence of sunlight because it'd affect his sacred reading experience. Reading was never the same without enough sunlight and he was particular about this. Twisting his neck to look up, he realized something unusual beyond the branches. Oh, no it wasn't something. It was someone. Someone daring enough to be on his territory that he had already pretty much claimed in the past few days of school. Irritated, he picked a pebble of the ground and whipped it against the person, causing him or her to tumble down. It was only after near inspection that he had realized it had been a dude. Minsoo had walked back to his spot on the bench, not really bothering about the other as long as he could complete his goal of reading till page 285. Yet, another shadow had casted over him soon enough. Half expecting to receive some sort of confrontation, he looked up, only to be met with an unusually wide grin. He hadn't been sure what to expect. The bell had rung and it was time for class again. He rushed off quickly. It had left a foul taste on his tongue though. He had failed to meet his goal. Now, came what he didn't expect. The male had continued through to meet him at lunch and tag along everywhere. It wasn't long after that they had started conversing. Firstly through Minsoo's outrage of course. Who'd be happy with a stalker-like presence on your tail daily, gotta admit he was pretty handsome though. It was weird, but it seemed as if he could hold a normal conversation for once and it had been a new feeling. Just maybe, something had been different about this male who had first approached him. Maybe not, and Minsoo wasn't sure how he'd go about with him. There was no clear goal involved. And without a goal, comes risks, arising an afraid Minsoo as he feels themselves getting a little too close. With Jaewon, he acts exactly like a tsundere would, hot and cold. He was fascinated by Jaewon's wide social circles, and although wary, has slowly tried to fit in with the group, thanks to Jaewon. Jaewon is also Minsoo's first actual friend, the first ever one to make him feel a little more human, to make his heart flutter. But friends don't usually just make each others' hearts flutter do they.

- he dislikes being called "young master", ever since the maid he trusted betrayed him, he'd rather not relive the experience and fear again.

- it isn't evident, but he does take some liking to nature, or a breath of fresh air, often finding himself under a tree on a bench or on the grass reading a book. trees were used to make books after all.
- he doesn't exactly hate his parents, but he harbors a negative outlook on them and would snort when people think he had been living the life. his mom was always out in showbiz, in the glitz and glam. while his dad was always hard at work, leaving him alone. plus, they were both superficial, and materialistic.
- he has his dorm all to himself, because he's rich and his parents requested so, no roommate means lesser trouble too.

//: TRANSCRIPT OF INTERVIEW

[INT] "How do you feel about the entirety of the current situation right now?"
[OMS] Minsoo lets out a heavy sigh, hands tucked into his pockets as he gives a light shrug of the shoulder. "What else could i possibly feel. Doesn't everyone feel betrayed? We all held high hopes for this oh-so-prestigous school and our future. And this is the type of crap we get in return?" He snorts, shaking his head in disappointment. "I didn't ditch my personal library for this dump y'know. I mean, the library here isn't even stocked up with enough books. For example, there's.." Blah blah blah, there continued fifteen minutes worth of nagging about books.

[INT] "Say, there were two paths in front of you, one towards the school courtyard, out into the open; and one towards an empty classroom that could be locked. Which would you pick, with mutts hot on your tail?"
[OMS] He stares blankly at the interviewer before huffing, he honestly found the question amusing. "Obviously into the courtyard. You'd have to consider my brain fried, if you expect me to lock myself in a classroom, that's just absurd. What good does a door do you, huh. At least going into the courtyard gives me more routes of escape. And, who knows, the mutts might just switch targets to some other irrelevant person."

[INT] "It's not easy out here, is it. Do you think you're gonna survive this?"
[OMS] "Why not you come try it out for yourself, interviewer?" He grins widely, fakely before rolling his eyes at the person in front of him. It was such a dumb question, try having blood-curdling monsters at your tail every now and then, would that not be hard? "Survive? Oh no, i'm not just gonna survive this. I'm gonna screw the government's asses over once i'm out of this hellhole. And yes, my dad will hear about this. So will, my mom. Keep my mouth shut? Never happening."

[INT] "Presume you wouldn't. What possible ways of death do you think you'd meet?"
[OMS] Tilting his head to a side, he silently registers that he's slightly taken aback by the question. He hadn't really been compelled to considered any thoughts related to death before even though it happened pretty frequently around him. "I-" He barely chokes out. The usually eloquent Minsoo had gone silent. "I, don't know." Now that he thought about it. Death was pretty scary, and it was always close to him. Why did he not question himself more about it. Right, he'd hate to admit it, but he's just like any other despite his status, he was a weak human being. And he was afraid of death. "If i do die, i do hope it's for some heroic act though, at least somebody would remember me in a bright prospect."

[INT] "What made you rebel?"
[OMS] Rebel, was he really rebelling? Minsoo glared at the audience he was facing. "Isn't this common sense to you? What sins have i commited to be stuck here. I've dont nothing wrong my entire life. My family's fortune teller said i've got a clean past life too. So why the actual heck am i suffering. We aren't even told , and we are made to just accept this form of reality? You've got to be kidding me." He paused. "On another note, this would be a great chance to prove myself too. I could be just like the heroes from those dystopian storylines, like.." And there we go again.

[INT] "Why do you think you'd be a valuable asset to our rebellion?"
[OMS] He sat up and straightened his uniform, a smile plastered on his face. "I'm glad you finally asked. I've got a lot of positive attributes and qualities you see." He points to his brain. "I'm smart." Then, to his face. "I've got visuals. Don't deny me on this. You all know who my mom is." Followed by his lips. "I'll talk you out of any situation, provided it ain't with the mutts. Oh, and i'm well-versed in English. And once we get outta here. I'm sure my parents would be of great help."

[INT] "If you could turn back time and not partake in joining this school or even decide not to be injected with the serum, what would your choice be and why?"
[OMS] "Oh man that would be the best choice ever. I'd definitely not want to trouble myself and go through any of this again." He laughs disheartenedly before seething, shaking his head a lil. "Come on, it's obvious. But then again, if i felt like saving a few people. I'd go through with this again. Gotta expose the shady government. And catch em all, just like my godfather would." He then softly whispers. "And, i'd still be alone, had i not come here, and met him."

[INT] "If you had successfully attained an enhancement, what would it be like? Briefly describe and explain."
[OMS] His ears perk up finally at this question. "Ooh, there are so many to pick from and you're making me pick one? Just one?" He chews on his bottom lip in deep thought. It takes him nearly five minutes before he does come up with one. "I suppose anything would be good really, but honestly having night vision like a cat would seem really nice. Seeing how the clean-ups are at night and it's hard to manouver without a torchlight and being discovered. With night vision we don't really need that. And it lowers our chances of being attacked."
