Chapter 49: thank you for the beautiful story, authornim. ^_^ it was a great journey with you and all the characters in the story. thank you for the amazing 50 chapters that allowed us to experience on the what-if-life (or perhaps partly true?!?) of the lovely darahae couple. i wish you boundless inspiration in writing wonderful stories such as this. i would love to read another darahae fanfic/s in the near future penned by you. kudos to you!

OKAYYYY. That is actually not the latest. As I've mentioned, I typed this on Word and didn't see someone else commented after. it's from Shoebox too. THIS IS THE LATEST COMMENT. lol

Chapter 49: This is really one of the best darahae fics ever.

Thanks for sharing and hope we'll read more fics like this from you!

Thank you again! Fighting!

About the stories
Q: Which story has the most chapters, and how many?

A: Shoebox. 45 chapters. It says 49 but it's really 45 because I uploaded some chapters in parts before.

Q: Which story has the least chapters, and how many (do not include one or two shots!)?

A: Growing Pains with one chapter. I changed the storyline thrice. It was on its fifth chapter then I lost my muse. I didn't really like the character development there. It's now the spinoff of TSWL. Honestly, I do not know if I'm going to continue it or not. TSWL is already fine on its own.

There's a 70% chance of discontinuing it. I'm sorry.

Q: Which chaptered story is the most popular?
A: Shoebox. It's because it's my first ever story in my life. LOL I was more of a poet (I'd like to think I am LOL) XD I honestly think (when I started writing it) that no one would ever read it at all. It was written because I wanted some Darahae in my life and they didn't have a lot of stories.

Q: Which chaptered story do you consider to be your underdog (aka better than the most popular one)?
A: Appassionato. It only has four chapters but I think this story is more realistic than Shoebox. It's complicated too. It revolves around four ships and I think it's the reason why people aren't really as hooked in it as with the others. They have their own moments and people have their own preferences if you know what I mean.

Q: Which chaptered story is the least popular?
A: Catch and Capture. I have yet to start this but I know what happens from the beginning to the end. I'm dead set on writing this one. I don't think I've read a fic that has the same storyline yet.

Q: Which chaptered story has the longest word count?

A: Shoebox LOL I compiled it all in Word and made a pdf and epub copy for myself and it came up to 884 pages. I started with a little over a thousand words in each chapter (ONLY 6 pages for the first one LOL) but I was writing it, the number of pages for each chapter grew. By the time the story ended I had 8k-13k words per chapter on average. But the longest chapter I ever did was 43 pages with 23k words. That was the RM chapter of SB. I basically wrote one whole episode of Running Man there. It was fun to write.

Q: Which chaptered story has the shortest word count?

A: Catch and Capture. :)) I only have the foreword on AFF. I wrote a couple of chapters already but I'm not yet posting them.

Q: Which oneshot is the most popular?
A: It's Dara, Dara, Neomu Dara. I don't know why it's the most popular...it isn't really one of my faves. lol

Q: Which oneshot do you consider to be your underdog (aka better than the most popular one)?
A: OHHH I'll have to put more one shots because I have a lot of them!!! Strangers, Moon River, and Too Late are my underdogs. The way I wrote them was raw and they were melancholic. It doesn't have a lot of subs yet, just because I wrote them recently but DaraHae's characters in those stories are real and people can emphatize with the way I wrote them. And I didn't sugarcoat while writing the stories. :))

Oh...I'm adding more. XD My bad~ Only Time Can Tell and Someone Else are actually better than Dara, Dara, Neomu Dara.

Q: Which oneshot is the least popular?
A. As usual, I'm writing more than one. XD Waiting, When the Moon Kisses the Sea, and The Girl is Mine. Man, I love those one shots. :)) Waiting was my first one shot. I feel like I'm attached to it. WTMKTS and TGIM are my nerdy and witty one shots. If you read, you'll agree. XD I literally was talking about lunation, apogees and perigees (yes, all those nerdy science stuff) in WTMKTS and TGIM is a mine of Darahae's evidences if you read between the lines.

Q: Which oneshot has the longest word count?
A: Strangers. It has 10,206 words. A reader commented this there. It's one of my fave comments :))

Chapter 1: Wow. This could easily have been a 10 chapter fic lol. I actually wish you broke it into pieces since after readjng this whole thing I forgot some of the things I want to say. But anyway I love it!

Some parts were very poignant - like how you compared the broken pot to his broken heart. Your use of repetition for the lying part was especially memorable. Honestly, I'm like that too. If I were him, I wouldn't want to risk getting hurt again. I liked how Dara just saw through this facade however (and even knew the exact count for his lies hah!)

I just adore the way you describe the surroundings and set up the atmosphere. The places are very well chosen and I could easily imagine the scenarios in my head - the two of them at a coffee shop nearby a flower shop, and then at the Han river. Something about those places just have this magical, dream like, and romantic feel to them (at least for me, I find that when a drama's backdrops are these places, there's just something like an extra nice touch to them). Finally, I like that you incorporated the first snowfall as the ending (which basically just brought them back to the beginning).

Thank you for writing this story. You worked hard :) I hope you never stop writing. I would've loved to read Dara's side to the story too.

Yeah, it could've been a chaptered fic. lol But I think I just got carried away with writing.

Q: Which oneshot has the shortest wordcount?
A: I thought it was Waiting but False Alarm has the shortest word count. Only 3090 words.

Q: Which are your top 3 favorite stories?
A: 1. I would be lying if I didn't include Shoebox here. The amount of work I did on it was crazy. I had to make sure the timeline was right...the dates I used from the 2010-2013 timeframe of the story had to match the dates of what happened in real life. Imagine me writing out dates for their music shows, charity concerts with other idols, and concert tours and that SsangPark bit I wrote was one of the highlights of that research. Of course, the next years (2014 onwards) didn't take that into consideration. I also had done a lot of research on it--had to make sure I was using real places and describing it the way it was supposed to be. I cried so many times writing this story. I was happy, sad, frustrated, giddy, and too all over the place when I was writing this. I still can't accept the fact that the story ended. :)) This story made me write again and made me want to give up but I still consider this as my favorite story.

2. To Seonsaengnim: With Love and Lust will have to be a tie. Those stories are my fantasies for the OTP. Well, TSWL would not happen in real life because it's AU but I really enjoyed writing it. If you cancel out the (well the prof-student thing was kind of the main point of the story so don't skip that part if you read it lol), it was all intellectual. Whereelse could I write about my thoughts on Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Robert Greene's The Art of Seduction, and Khalil Gibran? XD And Lust was a delight to write. It's the typical friends with benefits plot but I felt like the convos and the scenes between Dara with her gang and Dara with Hae were entertaining and lifelike, respectively.

3. Catch and Capture. I know it will be my new baby. It's about Dara being a kidnapped bride. A lot of cultures still practice it especially in Kyrgyzstan and Izza-unnie gave me the initial idea for it after giving me a link of this documentary which I actually really watched. It was so interesting and I know I have to write about it. I'll provide a link once I find it again. XD I also was curious about unmapped places and uncharted territories so the story will be in three different settings. One of which is Seoul, for obvious reasons. And the two will be in Hanam, a real province located south of Seoul. There are going to be made-up cities (the opposite of paper towns) in Hanam and I named them Ganan (Poverty) and Choen Sa (Angel). They're going to be like the District 12 and 1 of the Hunger Games. Watch the vid of Black Skirt's Everything and then you can imagine Ganan. XD AND I know it is wrong to romanticize the Stockholm Syndrome but this is fiction, so whatever. So basically, C&C will be about the traditions of bride kidnapping, the reality of Stockholm Syndrome and the idea of unmapped places.

There's also this one thing I want to say about C&C but I feel like it'll give away the plot so I won't. It's going to be the twist in the story so watch out for it. :))

Q: Which are your 3 stories you dislike?

A: False Alarm, Dara, Dara, Neomu Dara, and Cross Dress. I can't say I dislike them but they are my least faves because I didn't really put too much thought in them.

About the characters
Q: Which character was the most fun to write and why?

A: DaraHae in all stories and it's just because they are my bias. LOL Bom and Seungri are fun to write too. You know that lightbulb that pops out of nowhere when you get an epiphany? Well, they're like that in my stories.

Q: Which character was really hard to write and why?
A:  DaraHae, too. Dara was a complicated character in Shoebox. She was stressful to write because her emotions were all over the place everytime. I was about ready to pull my hair everytime she does what she does in that story but she did have a good character development there too. And Hae will be hard to write in Catch and Capture. You feel like you know him but you actually don't. :p

Q: Which character made you cry and why?

A: DaraHae. I MEAN, HAVE YOU READ THE WEDDING VOWS? LOL I was a mess while writing that. And oh...Chapters 32-37 Darahae in SB also made me cry. I cried because they've gone through so much and yet they still ended up being together. Shoebox was just what it was. Idols don't have it easy. I wanted to show how hard it was to be in the spotlight through the netizens comments and how they had to deal with them. I also wanted to show how pride destroys a relationship. They suffered a lot so I cried a lot too.

Q: Which character did you identify with and why?
A: I'll put characters. Bom & Seungri in Shoebox. Marshall and Lydia in Lust. I'm THAT kind of friend. :)) If you read, you'll know HAHA

Q: Which character did you hate to write and why?
A: Jessica in Shoebox. She was just this crazy person. She had everything going for her but she was never content and wanted more. She lost everything in the end. I mean, I still saved her afterwards but she just wasn't the same as before.

Q: Which character do you think is most like a real person (layers of character) and why?

A: Dara and Hae in Too Late and Moon River. I can't exactly explain why. But those two shots were so raw, I think at some point everyone was Dara and Hae in their lives.

Q: Which character are you most proud of and why?
A: Dara in Shoebox. She suffered so much and learned so much from life and love. Her character evolved in that story. Also, Hae in Strangers and The Speed Chaser. He was firm in Strangers and endearing in The Speed Chaser. He was the bravest in those stories.

About recommendations
Q: Which story of yours would you recommend to read? And what is it about?

A: Everything. LOL Share the Darahae love!!!

I dunno why,but I'm a fan of stories with Stockholm Syndrome. Like if I download new books to read, I have to include one book with a SS Plot. LOL. Have you read the book Stolen: A Letter To My Captor by Lucy Christopher? One of my fave. hehehe
