Positive:
Calm/Observant: Kaneki is a naturally calm person, most serene making him really hard to get angry or agitated, so very level headed, and is a natural leader as well. He's also has the patience of a saint. He's also very observant in what he does making him a hard oppenent to be against whether it's sports, etc. He learns how to observe people find their weaknesses and use it to his advantage with a charming smile. Kaneki is also kind and understanding and is there to lend a ear or advice if needed, he's very approachable so people feel comfortable to approach him with their problems or just to become friends.
Fearless: He's also pretty fearless meaninng he's nearly impossible to frighten, he's also hard to scare. He finds things amusing when others try to scare himand fail. So he's pretty fearless when it involves sport or anything that he's passionate for. It kinds of makes him look reckless but he knows more to be stupid and get injured, he knows his limits and what he can and can't do. He's also not afriad to voice out his opinions and such which can often either get him into trouble or admiration. He tends to go into things head first with out thinking much to his families dismay and Hyunwoo's amusement.
Confident: Kaneki is confident because he believes in himself and doesn't really let his past of being an orphan affect his future and accepts it as part of him and is grateful for the experience since it made him a stronger person and he knows his strength and weaknesses as well. He also is ambitious and determined to fulfill his goals which makes him appealing to others because of his charming personality and because of that he can come across as a flirt when he's not intentionally trying to be one but it also to some people make him look arrorgant but he isn't cocky or arrogant just trusts himself.
Negative:
Blunt: Kaneki is very blunt and direct when others ask him for his opinion, if you ask him to be honest he would be more then happy to be direct if not asked then he would be pleasant about the way he talks. So be careful when you ask him because he can cut you down to size. he believes in being honest in everything you do, and say, but because of his popularity he doesn't but when annoyed he will be blunt and harsh withiout him meaning to be. But rile him up he will be cold and harsh.
Deceptive: He blames this personality thanks to Hyunwoo who he had learned it from so he acts like an evil clone twin to Hyunwoo sometimes not intentionally. He learned how to use his feminine appearance to get what he wants and how to get what he wants or when someone has hurt someone close to him he will get revenge on them.
Stubborn/Reckless: Kaenki can be very stubborn when he has his mind set on a goal or an idea which makes him often hard headed, hard to sway or change his mind.He can bet set in his way and it's hard for him to change it but he's trying not to be so stubborn but it can be a challenge for him. When he's angry or passionate about something he can be a bit reckless do something first with out thinking of the consequences or until it's too late. He can be rash and can be hot headed about decisions when he's angry and not thinking clearly but sometimes regrets his actions after he calms down or realizes what he had done.

Kaneki was abandoned at the local temple of Honmyoji where he was found by a a priest there, who figured that the baby was abandoned by either a teenage girl/mistress or someone who couldn't afford to have a baby since there was a letter attached to the sleeping baby's blanket with the words "His Name is Kaneki Jaejoong. He's named after his father Jaejoong, please make him happy and raise him to be a good boy. I'm sorry that I can't be the mother for him. Please find a family that deserves him." Which the priest believed the baby was of mixed blood due to the name and the baby looked like a few days old when he was abandoned. He took him in and eventually took him to a local orphanage called Hiroyasu aiji Children's Home, where he was taken in i where he lived until he was about six years old and was adopted by Dongho and Taeyeon Yong, a couple that couldn't have children because Dongho when he was younger had lukemia which led to him becoming infertile, despite that his girlfriend back then Taeyeon didn't care if they couldn't have children since they could always adopt and give children that need a home a home. They got married and two years later they adopted a new born baby named Jonghyun. By the time Jonghyun was five they talked to their son about adopting another child which he eagerly agreed and after several months and travelling to China that was their destination where they adopted a year old baby Zitao, and the parents and Jonghyun learned Chinese to be able to talk to him and to make sure that Zitao was able to keep part of his heritage, then when Zitao was six they got a call from an orphanage in Japan that often worked with the orphanage where Jonghyun was adopted and said if they were looking for another child to adopt they had a child in mind. So they got curious and accepted but before they could officially adopt Kaneki they had to do the required paper work, inspection and while they were oding that they were learning Japanese so they could make Kaneki feel at home and they did the same thing when they were adopting Tao, a year later they were ready and flew to Japan where they met Kaneki (who had been taught Korean when he heard he was going to be adopted the people there taught him) which Zitao immediately liked him and so did Jonghyun, so they adopted him and took him home. But to make him feel at ease they learned some Japanese as they taught him Korean, little by little both Kaneki and the Yong family learned their native language of the other and became a complete family.
Kaneki grew up in a loving home with loving parents and two annoying but cool older brothers, despite them being adopted it never really bothered them that they were adopted since they always felt part of the Yong family and are grateful that they adopted them. Kaneki grew up with supporting parents that supported his interests and for that he is eternally grateful for, for them to let him explore his interests and to expand on them when he found the things he liked like playing the piano or soccer and that they were supportive and encouraged him to follow his dreams and passions. Kaneki at school was really well liked and popular due to his friendly nature and willingness to get along with others. He was the captain of the soccer team and was well liked and he loved having friends and making good memories as well
One day when he turned seventeen he wanted to do a report on wolves since his mother would treat injured wolves due to her job, and he always admired them so he started learning about them and the lunar cycle even as a child he always had a connection to the wolves and often joked that if he didn't become a professional football(soccer) player he would become a vet as well. Kaneki whoknew that his brother Jonghyun who had graduated from Moorim high and was majoring in music and folklore and was currently secretive of his latest research which was the myths and ledgends that surround Moorim high about mythical creatures and such and he was wondering if the people that went were descendants of some sort but didnt know what or who. It made Kaneki so curious to why his brother was so obseessed with the myths and folkores that surrounded Moorim University and the area around it, being the younger brother to a cool but shorter older brother he wanted to help him like any younger brother would. What Kaneki didn't know is that Jonghyun knew that Kaneki had potential to be a student at Moorim University so when he asked Kaneki who eagerly agreed wanting to go to a different school where he wasn't hounded or followed because of his popularity, and such and to go somewhere new, so people would know Kaneki as Kaneki and not the popular guy and it was his older brother's school so why not? Jonghyun being an alumni asked if Kaneki could apply and they said he could if he proved his worth that made Kaneki confused prove his worth how? What Kaneki didn't know was Jonghyun was confident that his little brother could get in since he was talented at soccer and was being scouted, knew some martial arts, had a charming personality to boot and Kaneki hoped he could get in and learn new things that was different from his current school and learn differently that was more hands on then being stuck in a classroom from the stories he had heard from his older brother made him more then eager to go to learn and help his brother if he can.

* Yong Seunghyun | Adopted Father | He works as a marine animal researcher and veternarian for the sea animals and works at Korea Advanced Institute of Marine Science at Ansan. He is a very easy going and friendly guy that adores his family and his passionate about his work. He can be forgetful at times but won't forget about his wife or children or his work. He adores his sons and loves to spoil them much to his wife dismay. He adores Kaneki since he's naturally curious and likes to learn so he loves teaching Kaneki about his job and about the animals and thinks that Kaneki would make a great Marine scientist or veternarian. He is one of the head researchers in the institute as well.
* Yong Taeyeon | Adopted Father |She is a veternarian that owns a clinic in Ansan, she is the more calm rational one of the two. She loves her sons but doesn't spoil them like her husband does, if they want something then they have to work for it. But regardles she loves her sons and she has some exasperated amusement with her youngest son that is often to curious for his own good and would get into trouble or into mischeif but she loves it when he comes and helps her out at her clinic. Her parents owned a flower shop which she grew up with a hobby of gardening and her youngest took interest in it and she taught him the language of flowers and what they could do and such. She runs an vet clinic that is open 24 hours and has all the supplies you need for your pet and she runs a small animal shelter where people can leave their pets behind, strays or that are rescued where she would take care of them until they're ready with help when they're ready for adoption. She has a big heart for animals and children alike,
* Yong Jonghyun | Adopted Older Brother | Kaneki and Jonghyun aren't cclose since there is an between them but he gets along with him just fine like brothers do. Jonghyun is more like the rock for him there for him to listen to him and give him advice and he knows that Jonghyun would look out for them. He admires his older brother a lot even if he's shorter then him.
* Yong ZItao | Adopted Older Brother| Zitao and Kaneki are close since they're an of one and they have similar interests as well. Tao may look scary but he's the sweetest and soft hearted guy he knows and cares for those close to him. He knows that he can trust him with anything and that he would get honest answers back from Tao if he ever needed an opinion or support. They balance each other out Tao quiet and innocent and Kaeneki carefree and laid back.
* His birth parents are unkown all he knows that he was named after his birth father Jaejoong but that's all he knows and honestly he could careless.

* Allison Argent aka Allie | Ex lovers now close friends | They dated for awhile before they broke up on good terms and now Allison is back and is training to be a vet under Kaneki's mother, so they're on good terms and get along so people often mistaken them dating again or such but for now they're just close best friends. (older then him by three years) She is very warm and understanding and gives Kaneki advice that a female could when a male can't and cares for him alot. They often hang out and keep in touch when they're busy or travelling. He met Allison when her father moved to Korea for work and they were neighbors so Kaneki and his brothers went out their way to help her make her comfortable and they became friends and they both love soccer as well.
* Lee Hyunwoo aka Yuki| Best friends | Hyunwoo is the opposite of Kaneki is more sly and mischevious but balances Kaeneki out as well. They grew up from age 8 and up together and since Hyunwoo knew Japanese since he lived in Japan for his father's job and moved to Ansan and met Kaneki and they got along well since they both knew Japanese. While Kaneki is warm Hyunwoo is sly and Cynnical so they're close like twins since their birthdays are close to each other as well like Ying and yang. While Kaneki is tall and warm Hyunwoo is short and palcold, very sarcastic and blunt as well. He is unusually pale and with an obsession with sweets and a knack for technology which he often has to help Kaneki out at times but he doesn't mind since it's his best friend and he's not afraid to say what he thinks and bluntly told Tao that he fancies him but sadly he hasn't gotten an answer yet. (Kinda like L)

I hope you like it and I did research a bit and the places and work places are real ^^ and I put the links for them too. I was thinking that Jonghyun gets curious about their backgrounds and does research and learns that his orphanage that he was from and those of his brothers were all related sister orphanages and that they handled supernatural humans and most of the children there are supernatural so there's a high chance that his brothers are supernatural as well. I was thinking of making Tao and his best friend Hyunwoo Vampires and Allison Fae. I also color coded the name and the name in hangul so you can tell which is which for his names ^^.
I was thinking to give a hint about his werewolf heritage when he was growing up he got along really well with Dogs and other Canine creatures like Wolves and was like a dog whisperer understanding what they needed and what the problem was which often helped his mother out alot when he was there helping out but lately as he got older more and more canine animals have been drawn to him even wolves but he doesn't know why so canine animals tend to protect him and such and when he was young he had a strong connection to them so he looks out for them as they look out for him.

Kaneki is pretty tall over six feet and very slender with a runner's body but fit not buff but has muscles. He has naturally pale cream colored skin and black hair which he had dyed auburn and is long down to his shoulders and he likes it long so he often wears it in a pony tail or such or even just down. Because of that he looks more feminine then he really is much to his annoyance but at times he doesn't really care because once awhile a poor unsuspecting victim would give him free stuff so he likes that. He likes fashionable clothes and looks his best always. He does have ear peircings but it rarely seen due to his hair covering his ears but had gotten them along with his older brother Tao and Jonghyun when he turned eighteen. But later one he cuts his hair short and dyes it back to black and he looks more masculine and such. But he has a naturally smooth husky sort of voice. he has warm light brown eyes almost hazel in color that's rare in asian that sometimes look amber under certain lights or when he's angry.

scene suggestions
- Kaneki and his love interest have a fight when Kaneki keep asking why he won't give him a chance and his love interest explodes and says because Kaneki looks weak and girly and everything and is too young. Making Kaneki leave and avoids him and changes his appearance and everything?
- Love interest walks in by accident when he has long hair still and is surprised how well built Kaneki is with a slender body with lean muscles not scrawny or anything and gets flustered and leaves and Kaneki finds it amusing
- Others are surprised by how strong Kaneki is and how fit he is? like in running etc. and Kaneki smiles and says 'That's what I get for having two older fit brothers I have to keep up too"

- Kyungsoo when they're dating finds a photo of a girl but doens't know it's Kaneki who had lost a bet and was forced to cross dress as a girl and did go out dressed as a girl pretending to be a cousin of Kaneki's from Seoul even though he hated it but his then girlfriend Alison loved it but he had to admit getting free stuff and such was nice.
