Jooyeon is  recognized as a performer with a unique aura. Her singing gives off many emotions and you could see her passion when she performs. She's one of the more brave and confident members and  It's because of this that she has also been characterized as one of the more y figures within the group. People say that she's scary at first, but once you talk to her, she's very friendly and a person you would enjoy having around.  To add onto that, besides having thicker thighs than most female idols, she's not insecure about it and embraces it with confidence. Many mistake her for being cold and blunt, but deep down, she is a nice person, both friendly and motherly. She's very caring and kind towards those younger and close to her and can be clingy/attatched to certain people. She's also very outgoing and loud. She has no shame, is always doing skinship with the other members or close friends, and will always try to make you smile with her corny jokes which result in many facepalms from others. She can be very protective especially over the people close to her. If someone hurt someone close to her, she'll go all out on them and someone would have to hold her back. She's very brave and won't hesitate to take risks. She's viewed as fearless and impossible to scare. But, Jooyeon knows when it's time to get serious and would be one of the people you could go to for advice. She has a soft spot for animals and can get along easily with them, even snakes. Animals just seem to surround her whenever they're in her presence.
 
Jooyeon can be very secretive. She keeps all her problems and issues to herself so others wouldn't have to worry. She focuses so much on making sure others are okay, that she forgets to take care of herself. The only way she releases all her stress and emotions is isolating herself and would just break down crying. When she's upset or sad, she'll be unusually quiet, and will easily snap at everyone telling them to leave her alone. Mentioned before, Jooyeon is brave most of the time, but, when she's scared, she'll also hide her fear and pretend to be brave. Her secretive side frustrates many because they would just try to help her. She hates acting like this to those around that merely want to help, but, it just can't be helped. She's also very lonely. When left out of things, she'll brush it off with a smile, but she would really be hurting inside. After singing in front of fans, or a crowd, she would have this empty feeling. Even though surrounded by close friends and family, she feels like she doesn't really belong. She's very hard headed.She's not willing to change her ideas or opinions and she's practical and realistic. Not sentimental, and will still try to prove she's right even if she knows she's wrong. Jooyeon is known to have a short temper. She's easily stressed and easily angered. Jooyeon is easily annoyed, but can become like a bomb when going through a time of great stress. Being the main vocalist of the group has been a stressful factor for her as well, and, because of this, has caused her to become extremely self-critical of both herself and her skills. She constantly questions whether she's singing well enough or if she's performing her role well which adds on to the stress. Many don't know but she's also a secret ert. She has many dirty thoughts that she would keep to herself and she would never reveal this side to anyone else. Jooyeon can also be impatient at times too. She absolutely hates waiting. She would start getting annoyed if she doesn't get a reply within 2 minutes and can't stand waiting in long lines.
