STYLE ) how does our precious meirong dress? how she dresses is casual and even if she tries to stay chic,it doesn't look chic on her because she doesn't like to keep a straight face for too long.all her clothing passes her test of triple c,comfortable,casual and cheap.she's not that fond of designer or expensive clothes,as to her they're overpriced.she honestly doesn't care about fashion so don't be surprised if you see her in a random shirt she pulled out of her suitcase and sweatpants that are horrendous.often wearing sneakers on her flats,her converse and vans are her faves so don't mind that her converse high tops being torn,they have a hole on the side and are dark,just ignore them alright.ah combat boots and timberlands are fine to her as well,call her the second jungkook if you want when you see a beanie on her head and a white tshirt and ripped jeans as well as timberlands.she always wears the necklace her mother gave her and often has an oversized sweater or her precious scarf.

meirong,mostly to sum up herself,is a hard worker and works hard in any field she applies herself into.she's the one who will try to make sure she does enough to satisfy herself,she wants to at least try hard and know that she's done good in it.meirong's the one in practice who'd stay extra hours to make sure she practices hard and perfects and make everything just right.the one who'll try to finish all her work quickly,without rushing so she doesn't fail or disappoint,so then she can play with the others.she also tends to be smiling and trying to cheer up others,even if she tries to be more quiet and tends to be quite reserved,meirong just wants everyone to be happy.as she said once to another contestant on the show when they were crying,'don't cry,your happiness and smile is my source of happiness',which is a tad creepy but to move on.she's an enthusaistic gal,meirong's not loud or energetic but can be very enthusaistic for things such as practice or anything like that.most of her energy goes toawrds performances and practice and maybe that's why meirong's so enthusiastic about practice.despite the fact her reserved and sassy self gets the best of her,meirong's actually very caring especially to the ones she holds close in her precious heart.the one who will put others in front of her and she was that one kid in school,who your mum would boast about because she'd take care of her mum.meirong,when she was little,would go prepare the herbal medicine for her mother and taste it first to see if it's bitter or not,then blowing on it to make sure it's cool enough for her mother to drink.she's the younger sister who'd go make soup for you and take care of you while you're sick.

she's an independent woman who don't need no man,just kidding but because she lacked fatherly love,meirong has grown to be independent.meirong knows how to take care of herself,she has been in korea for a while and knows how to take care of herself.there are times when older trainees ask her if she needs any money or help,but she always refuses.there are times when the starship c.e.o ask her if she needs support,as he feels sorry for the seventeen year old walking from her aunty's apartment to the trainee building,especially in the cold and besides he tries to put emphasis that she's only seventeen.meirong's actually a bit of a dork inside,with her small quirks and whatnot,some times off stage and just having fun.maybe like wonho,she has her quirks and might suddenly come in crazily,don't mind her.

meirong tends to be overly curious,if there's a small door or a rabbit,she'd follow it.she's eager to learn and eager to know things,so don't mind meirong as she tries to go out and find out herself.meirong she honestly if you don't tell her,she'll try to find out herself,it's just how she dances i mean rolls.because of it,she understands a lot of things and knows how to think outside the box.despite her cheerful and enthusiastic state,she's actually quite reserved and quiet.mainly because of language barriers,she opts to speak at times.meirong isn't shy at all,nope,but because it's just hard for her to open up about her emotions.sensitive,meirong is actually quite sensitive and actually cries quite easily but often off stage.her heart is a paper heart and can be easily ripped but you see meirong isn't the most forgiving person and won't forget it as easily.as you can always mend a paper heart with tape and glue but it isn't the same.especially to herself,she tends to be quite critical about things,raised in a world where everything has to be perfect.she won't sugar coat anything for you,just straight out tell you,just like her mother some say.mostly about herself,she'd blame herself and always go that her performance was the worst.helping with her cheerful nature,she'd bring herself down to criticise others in a nice way like she's one of those people who criticises nicely.

  ❝should i tell you a funny story,it might be a little sad too❞ chen meirong was born in the district of tourism,wujiang district in suzhou.her mother was teaching classical chinese dance to the locals around,meirong joined along and became a dance enthusiast,learning multiple traditional dances such as lion dance,joining the local community and dancing along with her friend.it was a fun time,her childhood,she'd spend her whole life learning different traditional dances,she actually refused to learn modern dance.well her father wished she did to keep up the times but her mother wanted meirong to learn the traditions.her father was never really a part of her whole life as when she was one,her parents divorced on a mutual agreement that her mother would gain custody of the child.it was perfectly normal to say,growing up,she'd have fun out performing and meirong did have fun.meirong,as the others said,was born to perform as you could see the broad grin on the girl as she was dressed up and danced beautifully,it was like that.unlike other kids,she wasn't really that large on studying,with all the time she spent on dance,it was hard for her to add tutoring as well.meirong was naturally smart alright but then she was focusing on dance too much,doing multiple dance such as yangge,classical chinese dance,lion dance,dragon dance and much more.
  ❝hey you,what's your dream?❞ meirong's interest in k-pop was when recent past member of super junior,hangeng joined yuehua entertainment.hearing as all of her friends and everyone were talking about it.k-pop was growing popularity and when everyone found about wonder girls,she was intrigued by the korean industry.it seemed so interesting to her and she saw group stages,they were having so much fun and with her friend,interviews and etc.when she realised that she had never felt so more inspired to be on that same stage,making others smile and just dancing,it just seemed fun.she didn't have a dream before,everything she inspired to be had been a lie or her parents had destroyed it for her or she found out herself.meirong was so set on it and when she told her mother,all her mother said was 'are you kidding me?'.when meirong didn't shake her head,she was slapped for being so childish and caught up in such a childish dream.the only response after that conversation was violin and guitar lessons and a bit of vocal,because performances.
  ❝run,run,run again,even if i fall,it's okay❞ hurt and never forgetting about that one dream,she sent an audition clip to pledis entertainment in 2013,as they had just recently partnered with yuehua.she was rejected,her vocals were shaky out of nervousment and she couldn't do modern dance,who would want a kid who only knew chinese traditional dance anyway? it was then when really,her friend came in and told her to not lose hope at all,there'd be someone who will realise her true talents.and then she practiced her dancing more,she will never switch to modern dance such as ballet,she can follow idol's choreographys and all but her dancing is her's and she isn't gonna give up.meirong when she heard the partnership of yuehua and starship,decided to try her chances again,sending a cover of herself singing and dancing,actually multiple showing off all the dances she could do and she was accepted that may.she asked her mother if she could move to south korea,showing the legitimacy of the audition and that she passed,shocked,her mother allowed her daughter,due to the fact of the determination in her daughter's face and the fact after days of consideration and a talking with meirong's grandmother.the condition was that she had to live with her aunty,who had been living in south korea for a while.

STAGE NAME ) xià (쌰) — despite already there's a xia in the industry,she really wanted to use this name as her grandmother gave it to her as a child,so did her mother and her mother still uses it.to remind her mother that meirong does dearly love her and to tell her grandmother,she's an inspiration to meirong's life.she couldn't use meirong due to endless teasing as well.
PERSONA ) the hidden gem — due to the fact even most of the other trainees didn't even know her or what she did,not many knew her talent at all.that's why despite she was already shown to the public,not many knew her or bothered to look at her.she's a gem because of her cultural difference and the dance she knows is different to everyone else's.it also came as a shock especially to the others who had trained more than her,as she got into the lineup despite her minimal training.

PERSONALITY ) kihyun's known to be the calm moodmaker of monstax,one of the more laidback members of the group like shownu.he's one that will try to do his work efficiently and quickly so he has more time to hangout and play with the other members.always smiling and joking about,he's actually pretty shy at first until he warms up to you.always looking for ways to improve,kihyun's hardworking at heart and does care about everyone.

FIRST MEETING ) they met from a mutual friend named jang sunmi who had trained with kihyun before and as sunmi decided that it was important for meirong to make friends in south korea,also get help on her korean.sunmi forced the two socialise,by having to glare at kihyun to introduce himself and then glaring at meirong,it was then really awkward for the two.then,meirong did not know about monstax's existence,she wasn't really that fond of going to hear about new groups as besides for her it'd just be better her to focus on training.out of not making sunmi glare at them and kill them later,figuratively,they exchanged numbers.they didn't really get to know each other then as it was really awkward.after texting him,with sunmi by her side incase meirong made any mistakes and so she wouldn't have to embarass herself.when meirong then got the hand of the hangul keyboard,she could type quickly and fluently,the two texted more and slowly,after meeting each other a few times,started befriending each other.

RELATIONSHIP ) the two are pretty close to say,kihyun continously asks her if she needs help in korean whenever she slips up or says something wrong.she always refuses and sometimes they forget their ,they forget that kihyun isn't the maknae despite his young appearance and that meirong's only seventeen,she does look older.it often pokes through their friendship,when she doesn't understand a few things and he often has to remind himself that she's the kid.they don't talk much,they understand each other and she's thankful for their friendship to not use that much words,he doesn't know suzhou dialect and she doesn't know much korean so it's all good.they're quite affectionate and meirong often blushes or freezes when someone mentions kihyun or when she sees him,kihyun just slightly blushes at the mentioning of meirong or ahryeong,as she forbids him to call her 'merong'.
