The Rules

3. For each song, write something inspired by the song related to the theme you chose earlier. You only have the song length. No pre-planning and no writing after the song is over. No skipping songs either.
4. Do 10 songs and post. Make sure to include the song name/artist.

The Game

1. Broken Heart - Monsta X

What went wrong? She wondered. Her hands instinctively reached out to the scattered photos on the floor in front of her. Memories. That's what they all are. Captured memories. The smiles, the laughters, the fun, the love they had. All contained in a mere piece of paper.

She heaved a sigh and traced his face. 

Those loving eyes smiling back at her made her heart wrench in pain.

The same question lingered in her mind, haunting her. 

What went wrong?

2. Dumb Dumb - Red Velvet

She dropped her books when she caught sight of him glancing at her from afar. Panicked that her long-time crush even set eyes on her, she dropped to her knees and gathered her things with a racing heart. She grabbed for the last of her books when a hand grabbed it off the floor before she could even reached for it. Looking up with anticipation, she bit back a scream and felt her face heat up. He smiled, making her squeal a little inside. 

"You okay?" He handed her the book. What if I'm not?

She opened but nothing came out. Her heart was beating hard against her ribcage. He chuckled, making her held her breath. "See you around." She nodded.

I'm definitely not okay.

3. 솔직하게 (M.U.P.) - iKon

I won't disappoint her. 

He clenched his fist and gripped hard on the item in his hand. He eyed the clock and glanced at the people around him. They were as nervous as he. His feet tapped fast against his chair, a natural habit he does when he's nervous. He bit his lip and tried to calm himself down with a few inhales and exhales. The significant figure at the front stood up, making him held his breath. I will not disappoint her. 

The figure approached and placed something on the table in front of him. His eyes flitted to the words on it.

I will make her proud. Of me.

"You may start your exam now." Said the professor.

4. Look at Us (Nonagon) - B.I. & Bobby (iKon)

He pulled her closer to his side, in front of the standing mirror.

She had a complete makeover in her fashion sense, perfectly matching his style. He grinned at her reflection. "Look at you." He said affectionately. She smiled and looked up at him.

Look at us.

5. Shining Diamond - Seventeen

He held his breath and watched her every move. She barely has any makeup on but she was already perfect in his eyes. She thought otherwise. She sat in front of the vanity dressing table and rummaged through her cosmetics, making him frustrated. 

He wasn't frustrated of the waiting, nor was he of her whining over her closet choices. He was frustrated because she was insecure of herself. He approached her and stopped her with a sudden, swift kiss on the lips. It worked, she was distracted and stopped. 

"You're beautiful. Don't use these when you're with me." He pushed her items away. 

"You're my diamond." 

6. Boys and Girls - Zico (feat. Babylon)

She squealed when she felt splashes of water against her back. "Bobby!" 

The said man was grinning with every playful motives he had in mind. Her outer wear was damp and sticking to her body, exposing her curves. She retaliated back but ran when he made chase. Their loving antics turned heads and attracted attention when she screamed after he hauled her over his shoulder. 

"Bobby! Let me down!" She slapped his arm, unaware of the direction he was heading. 

He didn't respond until her third cry. "Bobby! Put me down, please."

He smirked.

"Alright."

7. Ma City - Bangtan Boys

He swiftly manouvred across traffic, much to her surprise, and parked on a hill that overviews the whole city. "What do you think?" He asked, eyeing her with satisfaction. She was in awe, watching the bright lights of the city's night life flickered and brightened the night. He smirked in content.

"This is beautiful, Bobby." 

Welcome to my city. 

She turned to him. "But what are we doing here? There's no one else around." She noticed the dark surroundings. There was no other car in sight as they were far from the busy hustles of the city. He shrugged and placed a hand behind her chair. 

"It's a beautiful night. There's no one in sight. What do you think will happen here?" He remarked with a playful glance. She blushed and avoided his eyes. His eyes traveled down her body and leaned closer to her, taking advantage of the lone night.

Love happens. 

8. Butterfly - Bangtan Boys

She felt the breeze reaching into her cardigan and closed her eyes. She laid down on the green grass, undisturbed by the busy life back at home. She wanted to get away from it all, and she did. She felt a light weight on her propped-up knee and opened her eye. She glanced down and saw a blue and black butterfly perched on her knee. 

She moved a little but it stayed. It simply fluttered its wings. 

Entranced by the beauty, she sat up and watched as it triggered memories. Memories of him. 

Bobby, she sighed. She couldn't tell what exactly was she feeling, she was numb. Slowly, the emotional pain came back and made her cringe. It's been a year, why now? She felt the tears well up in her eyes. Why now? She had a whole year to shed tears for him, even at his service, but she didn't. Not until this butterfly came.

A single drop of a year's worth of tear poured just as nature's creature decided to take off. She watched as it flew away from her, just as he did.

The most beautiful things in life always leaves sooner than you'd expected.

Like a butterfly.

9. In Memories (The Master's Sun OST) - Oh Junseong 

He didn't know what he was doing. The room was strange but familiar. He felt airy and light as he descended into the room. It was neat, if it wasn't for the scattered photo frames, photo albums and pictures on the floor. He felt the cold floor under his feet and watched as the wind blew on some pages of the album, as if to announce his arrival. 

Where am I?

Everything was familiar but he had no memories of any of them. It was just a feeling, as if he was home. A picture flew past him, catching his eye. He eyed the piece and everything came back to him. His head felt dizzy. He turned around when he heard a sniffle. A lump on the bed stirred. He approached. Oh no.

Tear stains lined her cheeks, her nose red. In her embrace was a familiar piece of clothing, probably his. I'm sorry. 

He leaned in and placed his lips on her forehead, only to disappear into thin air.

10. 행복하지마 (Don't Be Happy) - Bumkey, Mamamoo

He eyed the male approaching her table with distaste. He twirled the pen in his hand, watching their every move. They ended things on a bad note, neither reconciled with each other. She had moved on from it and were on good terms with him, but he wasn't. He kicked the chair in front of him when she smiled at the male, earning him a stink eye from the owner of the chair. 

How can she go on and smile at other men like that? He hated how she looked happy and cheerful after a bad breakup, after everything they'd been through. He hated how she was still pretty, no matter what she does.

He hated how she's not his girl anymore.

He was scowling at them that he didn't notice a fellow female classmate of theirs approached his table with a smile. He saw her glanced at him and took the opportunity for a petty revenge. He replaced his scowl with a bright grin and attended to the insignificant girl in front of him. He smirked when he saw her glanced at their interaction. 

What he didn't know was that; 

She felt the exact same thing as he did.

The Opinion

Thank goodness I'm capable of typing fast. And that my brain works well today. No. 4 was ridiculous! The song was only 59 seconds, how am I supposed to do that? I almost died when I got Boys and Girls, it's a rap song for goodness sake. Haha, anyway. There are some references to my future stories and plotlines. That I will definitely write. Somewhere in the near future. I think. 

This game is considered to be a free-style, on-the-spot rap if it's in the hip hop world. But it's fun! I encourage anyone who thinks they can do this. *smirks*
