meeting : yeseul met chanhyuk through his sister, soohyun, whom she met at university. she took a year off to study up on those exams, but once she got into university, she was majoring in beauty art (which was basically cosmetology), while soohyun majored in music, but the two had a few core classes together. yeseul sat next to soohyun on the first day and quickly became friends with her after finding out that they had similar interests, promptly sharing her contact information with her. it wasn't long before yeseul started going to soohyun's shared apartment with her brother, so that the two could "work on projects," and that's when she ended up meeting chanhyuk, who was apparently a computer science student in the same university. it was kind of an awkward first meeting for her and chanhyuk because when soohyun invited her inside, he ran out with leeks in his hands, screaming "i can't find the onions, but i found these leeks!" it was safe to say that his face turning red like a tomato was an appropriate reaction to seeing that there was a stranger in his house watching him hold leeks in his hands, but it was all quickly forgotten when he introduced himself as "lee chanhyuk." truth be told, yeseul did not think he was all too attractive when she first saw him, so it's somewhat safe to say that his looks did not draw her in, but rather his sense of humor, which was probably the best that yeseul's ever encountered ever. every time she talked to him, he would always get a laugh out of her, and after a few more visits to their house, yeseul got chanhyuk's number and they started texting a lot - well, it was mostly him sending puns, but still. however, their relationship didn't actually begin until two years later, mostly because they were too shy to admit their feelings for each other, and the two were reluctant to do anything about it anyways. by that time, soohyun was literally so annoyed at the fact that they weren't gonna do anything about their crushes on each other that she set up a plan for the two to finally reveal their true feelings about each other, after two whole years of crushing on the other. first, she invited yeseul over to "hang out," and later, she told chanhyuk to dress nice because they were going out to eat, but soohyun was gonna go shop with yeseul first. after he got dressed in a nice outfit, soohyun snuck out, and yeseul came to the apartment 30 minutes later, ready to hang out. when chanhyuk answered the door, yeseul's heart collapsed at the sight of him, but she managed a bashful "hello," and chanhyuk mumbed one back, obviously shocked by her appearance without soohyun. he invited her inside, and the two sat on the couch awkwardly, obviously thinking way too hard about what to say. finally, chanhyuk started it off with a simple "you look nice today," and somehow led to a conversation about artichokes. chanhyuk and yeseul were laughing super hard when he accidentally slipped and said, "this is why i'm in love with you," and uh oh spaghetti-o. the two stopped laughing and yeseul was just like "what?" and chanhyuk was practically giving her a deer-in-the-headlights look because he screwed it up, he confessed accidentally, and now his friendship with her is ruined forever because of the awkwardness-

and now : after the confession, they were deemed as an official couple, despite neither one actually asking the other out, but at first, they were quite bashful with each other. They couldn't believe that the other actually liked them back and it was just a shocker for them because what the heck? However, they got used to each other slowly by texting, skyping, and going out on dates with each other when they were free, but god were they were slow with doing a things. It took them a month to actually start hugging each other, two more months to start holding hands, and they recently started kissing each other five months before their one year anniversary (despite that heart stopping kiss yeseul gave chanhyuk that one night). although they started kissing each other five months ago, they're a weird couple because they never really do; they just peck each other whenever they have to leave each other and that's probably it. nowadays, they're more comfortable with each other than they used to be in the beginning, and now, chanhyuk acts even more dorky with her, but she finds that endearing anyways. they're pretty conservative with each other at the moment, so you can say that they're not living with each other, but they don't mind. that'll be a part of their future if they're lucky enough.
interactions : after their one year anniversary, all shyness between them had completely disappeared (probably because they had a year to get comfortable with the other), and the two are quite embarrassing to be around. even soohyun gets a little stiff whenever she's around the two, and soohyun's lived through her brother's antics for about two decades now. chanhyuk is the one that's the most embarrassing between the two, but yeseul is cringeworthy as well; they're dorky with each other and make up puns and jokes that could get anyone crawling in horror. although yeseul is indeed an insecure girl that cares a lot about how others perceive her, she seems to exude confidence when she's around chanhyuk, and from an outsider's perspective, it really shows that the two care about each other a lot and are always looking out for each other, even when they don't realize it. though they don't do much skinship, they're always just happy enough to be around each other, and just a simple press of the shoulders makes them comfy. they don't say "i love you" much, but it's quite obvious that two have strong feelings for each other when chanhyuk puts up with yeseul's talk of how cute the latest boy bands are (but he can admit, they're pretty hunky) and yeseul tolerates chanhyuk drooling after the female idols on tv (but not before saying that they're not as cute without their makeup, ahem, she would know).

the arugument — her thoughts : it was so annoying! chanhyuk knows i'm insecure about my looks, why does he always have to test me?! ugh, we were just watching a music show after dinner at my place, and this girl group came on, and he commented on how hot they were. normally i don't care because since i'm a makeup artist, i do the makeup of the idols, so i know how they actually look, but chanhyuk just kept going on and on about them! i was so annoyed, frick. i get it, i was jealous, but he knows that i'm super insecure about my looks! it was probably the 10938th time that he commented on how hot they were when i just snapped and started yelling. he was taken aback, but get this; he just said: "what's your deal? are you having your period right now?" jesus, i don't always have to have my period when i'm angry at him! ughhhhhhh. we normally don't fight, but when we used to, it was just little fights, and this one was just plain annoying, honestly. i was so heated in the moment and yes, probably super jealous about the girls he was talking about, but he was yelling back at me and i couldn't handle it. he's usually calm, but i guess we had a rough day ourselves, and now we're taking it on each other. he said something along the lines of how i always say male idols were hot, but i never actually mean it! it's a joke! ugh he looked so serious when he said that the girls were hot! then he said something about how he's ugly or something, i don't know, i wasn't really listening, and i just shouted out something like "you are ugly!" and i instantly regretted it when i saw the hurt on his face. he seriously looked so upset and immediately left my apartment to go home. i'm so glad no one was at home, but i wish someone was there to calm us down. chanhyuk left and i stayed home, probably because i was too annoyed to chase after him... but i should've chased after him and apologized.

the accident : right after our argument, chanhyuk left and drove home probably, and i just ignored it, thinking that everything would be okay the next day because it always is... then i got a call from soohyun a few hours later, and she told me that he was in critical condition, and before she could explain anymore, i demanded to know which hospital he was at. once she told me, i quickly rushed there and when i arrived, they didn't let me see him, but the doctor told me that while he was driving, he got into a car accident, and hit his head on the steering wheel really hard a second before the airbag had popped out. the doctor reassured that he was most likely going to be okay, but he just needed to have his head checked, and i prayed that he was okay. god, why did i have to yell at chanhyuk like that? it was over something stupid too... once the checkup was done a few hours later, the doctor finally let us in, and when i saw chanhyuk, i was so happy to see that he was okay. albeit, he had a gauze wrapped around his head, but other than that, he looked like he was doing good. i rushed to his side and hugged him tightly, mumbling how i was glad he was okay, and then he said to me, "uh, who are you?" and that was the first time i had felt 10/10 on a pain scale.

answer : haha, no we don't. my parents doesn't approve of that idea right now, but i guess it's fine that we don't move in yet. my house is really close to my university, whereas soohyun has to take a bus to get here.

answer : ah, i think we avoided each other for a few hours before soohyun called me urgently and said, "yeseul! chanhyuk is in critical condition in xx hospital!" i was in a state of shock and wondered if it was my fault that he ended up in the hospital. it probably was. i felt so guilty and ashamed of myself, i should've been nicer to him. i shouldn't have yelled. when i got that call, i just raced to the hospital as fast as i could. god, i hoped he was okay, i was praying desperately that he was okay.
