► for jini, she's more into the casual side of fashion. while she's not being dressed by her stylist and has no responsibilities, such as going to a fancy event or the like, she typically showcases a simple style, such as leggings for when she's going to the airport or to the practice room or even as everyday wear, and probably a plain t-shirt that she bought for cheap. she tends to wear jeans (the ripped ones are her favorite), and tennis shoes are a must for her. to be quite honest, jini's the type to rewear clothing articles, and netizens have noticed that, even criticizing her about it at first. despite that, jini doesn't really care much about what people have to say about her fashion choices. however, her stylist makes her wear a variety of articles, ranging from dresses to overalls and jeans, and while jini doesn't mind, she wouldn't necessarily wear most of it on her own. she's not much of an accessory person either, but she likes wearing sunglasses (and at times, a mask and a hat to keep her privacy).

► on july 29, 1993, in busan, ahn jini was born into a rather awkward situation that marked her as the 'girl without a dad' for most of her childhood. it was true; she didn't have a father. her mother accidentally had a one night stand after a stressful day, and while she was at the bar, one thing led to another, and she found herself pregnant a few months later. to this day, jini has no knowledge of who her father is, but she doesn't really mind because, well, he's never been in her life, so why should she care? though she's quite alright with her father not being around, she's developed a cynical attitude towards people who's had fathers and don't treat them well, and admittedly, is quite jealous of them. even when she says she doesn't want a father, and that her mother is all she needs, jini is pretty sensitive about it, and when she was younger, she did wish for one a lot, though she never told anyone. because her mother was always busy with work (jini couldn't blame her, she was trying to give her a good life), jini has always been pretty lonely; the people at school bully or "tease" her for not having a father, and eventually, she has learned to stop talking about the fact that she didn't have a father, and even lied about having one at times. due to her not having parental supervision a lot of the times, she's become rather reckless, and not to mention quite sharp-tongued as well, due to her sensitivity.
► while growing up, jini has pretty much kept to herself, and after elementary school, she became more extroverted, and even became friends with a few people, although they stopped talking to her when she went to high school, mostly because of the fact that they went to the more prestigious and expensive high schools, whereas jini went to a regular one to save money. during most of middle school and high school, however, she got rid of her frustrations by writing them down in short poems, due to the fact that she loved poems. it was her way of expressing herself, and shortly after, she started getting into writing lyrics because she thought it would be cool to make a song out of her frustrations. there was only one problem: jini was terrible at composing music. at first, she mixed random beats together, but it sounded wrong, and she just used basic beats and posted them onto her soundcloud, mostly so she could keep it in one place and not have to worry about them being deleted, but after some time, she started learning how to make good beats after listening to a lot of instrumentals. despite jini not being too into music before, she gradually became passionate about it, and her soundcloud quality grew. she also started rapping her lyrics into the beats, trying to figure out how to make her songs sound good, and while she was quite choppy in the beginning, she listened to a lot of american rappers, and copied them, even listening to the instrumentals and trying to rap their parts, and gradually found her own style. from then on, jini produced a lot of raps and such, mostly posting onto her soundcloud and became an underground rapper.
► when she was 18, jini had graduated out of high school, and really wanted to go to seoul and audition for an entertainment company, but wasn't sure how her mother was going to take it, as she's been protective over jini ever since she was born. despite that, she really wanted to go to seoul and audition, and at first, told her mother that she was going to work in seoul and live with her best friend while she was at it. jini's mother was against it at first, but after much pleading, she reluctantly let jini move away, and that was the first part to jini's freedom as an adult. she moved to seoul with her best friend, and immediately auditioned for multiple companies, but many rejected her (multiple times actually). she tried auditioning for yg, which she felt fit her style the most, but they didn't accept her, and jini was finally drawn to big hit. she auditioned, and they actually accepted her as a trainee, and jini was excited. this was actually the first company that accepted her, and she started training, but after a year, she felt like big hit wasn't exactly the best choice for her. she decided to move to chrome, and though she was doubting if she'd ever debut, she was put as a new member for sakura after four years of training, and suddenly, it felt like jini and her hard work had finally paid off.

because it was just jini and her mother, that meant that they were the only ones sticking with each other. jini didn't see her mother often, due to the fact that she always had to work and adjust to her boss' weird schedules, meaning that jini was always home alone. she spent her spare time listening to music, and originally she didn't tell her mother that she was a trainee until months after she got accepted into a company, mostly because she didn't want to worry her. though sooyeon loves jini, she'd wish that she had taken up a less demanding position, and is constantly worrying about her health, although jini tells her not to.
jang haeryung
best friend (23), chef; supportive, faithful, irrational
the pair have been best friends since their high school days, and haeryung is one of the only people that jini trusts with her whole life. despite her friend being quite irritating at times and them having their fights, the pair get along quite well, and haeryung was the one to comfort jini during her rough trainee/idol days. jini tends to ask haeryung for advice when it comes to boys she's interested in, but knowing jini, she never really approaches them anyways, and haeryung is aware of that, but she still gives her advice anyways because well, she's a true friend.

despite the fact that they're the same age, jini finds it interesting how wonsik acts like he's her older brother, and finds it nice that she can depend on someone as if they were actually her sibling. he's pretty nosy, but if jini is adamant on not telling him something, then he won't push her for details, but will always offer her a gentle hand. they like to tease dokyung and taekwoon whenever they're together, but secretly are their #1 shippers (though neither jini nor wonsik would ever say that aloud).

seonghwa, as jini affectionately calls him, though he's more known by his nickname 'gray,' is one of her good friends, and because of his quieter nature, jini is the one to talk more often. honestly, seonghwa is one of the very few people that jini feels genuinely comfortable with, and often talks to him about anything. their relationship is rather relaxed and the pair often just chill, when they're with each other. though jini is rather sharp, having seonghwa around her mellows her out, and she doesn't know why, but it's interesting and comforting at the same time.
jeon dokyung (kyungrin)
member (25), idol; determined, reliable, stubborn
when jini first became a new member to sakura, she didn't exactly have the best relationship with dokyung; it's not that they fought a lot and had animosity with each other, but she just found it awkward to talk to dokyung, since she wasn't sure how to move forward with being a new member, whereas dokyung has been there since the beginning. despite that, after some time, they begin to form a better relationship with each other, and it's at this point where jini feels like she is rather comfortable in dokyung's presence.
kwon sungyeon (shyne)

along with dokyung, jini found it awkward at first to interact with her, mostly for the same reasons. she didn't know how to act with sungyeon, who didn't seem to like her type, and it was all around a-w-k-w-a-r-d. jini felt like she was someone who couldn't replace the former members, who were with sungyeon since the beginning, and with them gone now, it just felt like jini was a slightly odd replacement for them. after a while, though, the pair started to get along, just like with her and dokyung, but there are times where sungyeon holds grudges on jini.
yoon sarang

jini got along with sarang better than the other members at first; it felt like sarang knew what she was struggling with, and that she could relate to her because they were the newer members that suddenly joined sakura, and although it was good that both of them got to debut, it was just also somewhat awkward at the beginning too. though jini was rather blunt and admittedly annoying, it seemed like sarang didn't mind, and that's probably why she's the beacon of light for sakura.

dieting jini hates it, but her company makes her do it, so she has no choice.
dark places to be quite honest, jini is pretty spooked whenever she's somewhere that's dark and spacious, so she'd rather not go to places like that.
spicy foods jini has never been one to enjoy the intense heat of peppers, and especially moreso after she rubbed her eyes after handling peppers once when she was a kid, so her foods are usually very mild.
paparazzi jini hates the paparazzi, such as companies like dispatch, newsen, etc., mostly due to the fact that she can never feel safe in her surroundings, and always has to keep an eye on her surroundings.
aegyo because jini isn't one who's naturally cute, she finds it a huge turn off when she sees guys doing aegyo, and it just embarrasses her when she sees girls doing it as well. for some reason, it just looks so... wrong.

spoiled brats jini's met her fair share of spoiled brats in the entertainment industry and she hates it with a passion. they are people who've never worked hard in their lives, and always give up when things get rough, and jini can't stand that, considering that she had to work so hard.
insects admittedly, jini has a huge fear of insects, especially the bigger cockroaches and the tinier spiders, but once she sees one, she yelps in fear, and begs one of her members to kill it before it takes over their dorm.
getting up early though it's inevitable for jini to have to get up early, she hates having to do it, and is often the last member to get up. luckily for her, though, she doesn't have to do much, just apply some make up and brush through her hair carefully.
being sick though jini has a strong immunity towards viruses and colds, when they do hit her, they hit her hard. she's usually suffering from a high fever or is coughing non-stop, but even then, her determination still takes her to the stage - but she usually ends up feeling like a big mess the whole time.

scraping off her nail polish whenever she's bored and has nothing to do, she likes to scrape off the nail polish off of her nails - her nail artist gives her a lot of slack for it, but she doesn't really mind.
blinking whenever she's nervous, she'll blink excessively, and it's quite easy to tell whenever she's feeling anxious because of that.
clicking her tongue against her teeth whenever she's forced to do something that she doesn't like, you can often hear jini making a 'tch' sound under her breath.

► HOBBIES
composing whenever jini has time, she'll sit down in a quiet place and compose some music; it's one of her most favorite things to do.
poetry though not many know about this, jini has a small notebook that she writes poetry in, and most of it reflects her real life feelings, and she jots them down in a more poetic manner onto paper.
chillin by the fire eatin fondue well, jini's not actually by the campfire, nor is she eating fondue, but she loves food and chillin', so she'll grab a bite from places that she's never been to before, just so she can try it out.
sleeping jini doesn't get the chance to sleep for hours on end when she has to promote and work, so she really treasures the times where she's able to just sleep and not have to worry about oversleeping.
volunteering as a student, jini was really interested in volunteer work, and now that she's a working adult, that still hasn't changed. when she doesn't have much to do in her schedule, she'll volunteer, and sometimes even goes to different companies to complete the volunteer work.

► sakura's jini creates animosity within her group with her attitude / false / the article accused her of creating tension in her relationship with her members with her cold expressions and her sarcastic attitude, but it's not quite true; of course there are times where jini and her members fight, but it isn't because of jini's cold expressions.
