ALIEN LANGUAGE DICTIONARY

Author Note: The language below is exclusively the one that Taehyung speaks in the first few chapters of the story, which is currently unnamed. As more languages are added, so will different sections, but for now it's only one language.

This language is read in a linear manner, like English. Example: 'I am hungry' translated would still read 'I am hungry'. Sentence structure is also very similar. The only notable difference would be personal pronouns, which are often replaced with terms that refer to the age of the species as a whole. You (sing.) is often entirely removed from sentences, or combined with another word. Many words take on dual meanings, or mean different things when used differently. This language is composed of many soft sounds and double vowels, the letters/sounds of d, b, and the hard c often being replaced with a soft g or f sound.

Yeolve - Both hello and goodbye, but with more emphasis on the 've' sound for goodbye

Modiyag-byeolla - Directly translates to little star ('modiyag' meaning little, 'byeolla' meaning star). The hyphen indicates that it is being used as one word, roughly meaning 'human.' This term is used for any species younger than Taehyung's, meaning it could refer to anything from a human to a fly so long as the species is younger

Maeyag-byeolla - Directly translates to big star ('maeyag' meaning big). The hyphen indicates that it is being used as one word; used in reference to any species older than Taehyung's

Byeolla - Directly translates to star. The term used by all members of Taehyung's species to refer to one another due to their gaseous natures

'non - An ending to make a verb negative, i.e. haji'non (don't/do not). By itself without the apostrophe it means no/not

'ya - Is or it. Often added to the end of a word to form a sort of contraction for [object/subject] is, i.e. mwod'ya (what's/what is) or eobi'ya (where's/where is)

Eobi - Where

Mwod - What

Neun/Naum - I, me, my, or mine

Ollunt - To be. When conjugated: Ol (am) Unt (are)

Aleunt - Compounded word; al (you sing.) and unt (are). Together meaning 'you are'

Davos malhadicens - Combination of the words for 'voice' and 'tongue', together means 'to speak' or 'to say'

Haji - To do

Ilhae - Understand

Geuod - That or this, depending on the context

Ileumis - Name. Can also apply to status ranking

ALIEN LIFE FORMS, CULTURES, AND PLANETS

Author Note: This section gives a background to all life forms mentioned or used in All of my Stars. Information will include cultural facts, structural system, planetary types, and general species information. All information is categorized by planet of origin.

Iorilia:

The planet which Taehyung comes from, otherwise known as the Land of the Stars. A monarchy government, with a non-hereditary route of succession. General landscape and environmental conditions currently unknown. Economical position currently unknown. Have a strong military, although details are currently unknown.

Members of the Iorilian species are gaseous in form, made up of hydrogen, helium, oxygen, unknown gas BT5, and various other elements, several of them slightly radioactive.

They have both a gaseous and a physical form, but the gaseous form takes up roughly twenty times the space when they are fully spread out. The gases which they are made up of twinkle and sparkle in the correct lighting. Males are colored a light violet or pastel blue, while females are light greens and whites with considerably more sparkle, however there are exceptions. The ruling class is a pale pink.

Iorilians are capable of condensing themselves into a physical form, but it is difficult for them to switch forms without practice, hence many pick a form and stay in it. A physical form of an Iorilian is generally modelled after a species that they have made recent contact with, but on the more physically attractive end of the scale. This is one of the major reasons why Iorilia is known as the Land of the Stars, as it is often mistaken for a planet filled with only attractive members of other species. The physical form has skin that is cool to the touch, and is covered in tiny, glittery freckles that can only be seen in the correct light. Hair color is often the same color as the Iorilian in their gaseous form, or, if there is no hair on the species mimicked, the skin color is the same. It is said that by looking in the eyes of an Iorilian in physical form, one can see the universe. This is actually just the residue of their gaseous forms swirling around in their 'irises.'

 Zargo:

The home planet of Tripsy-Zargons. Zargo is home to several species of advanced beings, mainly the Tripodites, the Zargons, and the Dipodites. Tripsy-Zargons are a common hybrid between the Tripodites and the Zargons. A democratic government, with each species faction governed separately. General landscape and environmental conditions currently unknown. Economical position currently unknown. Is a major influence on intergalactic technology.

Tripsy-Zargons have large heads to accommodate their large brains, although because of this their eyes are small in comparison. They often need specialized magnifying goggles to see what they are working with. They are a bi-pedal race, with three appendages per foot, four per hand. Each hand has an opposable thumb. Tripsy-Zargons stand at an average of 4'5'', but move surprisingly quick for their stature. Their blood is acidic as an evolutionary defence, hence the bright warning colors on their skin (usually red, orange, pink, or yellow). They are a very intelligent race like the Tripodites, but are also deadly predators like the Zargons. Tripsy-Zargons are fond of formalities and propriety, and as such will not often respond to requests for help or favors unless there is an official statement or declaration attached somewhere.

Cyber-Tempore Active Assistant (CTAA):

An artificial species with no planet of origin. Created by taking a base species (i.e. human, Tripsy-Zargonian, etc.) and implanting hundreds of thousands of Nano machines as well as a Nano machine generator. The Nano machines then enhance and reinforce organ systems, as well as increasing the rate of regeneration to the point of near instantaneous repair of damaged flesh. Since new Nano machines are constantly being created and replacing cells, CTAAs do not age or get sick, and therefore can't die from old age or sickness. CTAAs have higher functioning mental processes, and are excellent at learning, retaining information, and formulating plans of action. Most are physically fit, but personality depends on the base species and individual used to create the CTAA.

Since a CTAA is very controversial in nature, their use and creation is limited to those within the IGBP. Even then, there is a limit of two CTAAs per representative. Massive black markets and slaving rings have been created around CTAA technology and CTAAs themselves, many of which have been raided by IGBP forces. CTAAs themselves are high-profile targets even though they are assigned to aid high-profile members of society, which has led to many ongoing debates on whether or not the CTAAs should remain the choice assistant of intergalactic politicians and representatives.

INTERGALACTIC ORGANIZATIONS, LAWS, AND PROCEDURES

Author Note: This section provides insight to the admittedly complex inner workings of the united galaxy. As this section contains a lot of political nonsense, it has been simplified into an easy-to-read guide.

General Background:

After making contact with one another upon reaching the stars, the many planets of the galaxy decided to create a set of intergalactic rules and laws to prevent mass chaos and overall panic. All planets capable of intergalactic travel are included within these rules, even if they have never made contact with other life forms. These laws are never challenged, and anyone found breaking these laws are severely punished. There are three interstellar organizations that oversee the workings of the galaxy:

  1. Intergalactic Board of Peace (IGBP)
  2. Cosmic Defense and Protection Treaty Organization (CDPTO)
  3. Supreme Interstellar Court

Each organization handles its own jurisdiction, although many cases overlap and require the attention of two or more organizations. The main purpose of these three systems is to preserve intergalactic peace, law, and culture. Only the CDPTO will respond directly to hostile behavior from interstellar colonies.

Intergalactic Board of Peace (IGBP):

The IGBP is the political heart of the universe. Members of the IGBP vote on important decisions that impact all planets, decide on interstellar laws and punishments, and can form stronger ties to other colonies and planets. All members of the IGBP are randomly selected from a pool of ordinary citizens in order to avoid as much bias as possible.

Representatives range from ages 20-50, and all have at least a college education or their planet of origin's equivalent. There is only one representative per planet, regardless of how many species live on said planet. Once a representative is chosen, they are given a mark, typically on the back of their neck, which shows how many representatives the planet has held before. The higher the number on the mark, the more influence the planet has when making an important decision or passing a law.The Intergalactic Board of Peace maintains and oversees three major rights:

  1. The Right to Life - All intergalactic beings have the right to be alive, wherever they reside in the galaxy
  2. The Right to Free Speech - All intergalactic beings have the right to express their thoughts, opinions, and beliefs without persecution
  3. The Right to Equality - All life forms are equal

Any indication of breaching these rights gives the IGBP instant authority over the area.

In order to maintain as much fairness as possible, representatives are changed every ten years. The previous representative will have their memories wiped for security reasons, then will be slowly re-integrated into their planet's society. Most times, planetary representatives who hail from planets that know of the intergalactic laws are allowed to keep a majority of their memories.

Cosmic Defense and Protection Treaty Organization (CDPTO):

The CDPTO is the equivalent of intergalactic peacekeepers. They will be deployed in areas of war to protect citizens, take action against intergalactic terrorists, and are sent in when a major breach of IGBP laws occurs.

Known as the strongest military force in the galaxy, the CDPTO is rarely used and is more of a modern-day legend than anything else.

Supreme Interstellar Court:

The final and highest court in the entire universe. The rulings made here can't be overturned. The Supreme Interstellar Court mostly deals with crimes committed that break intergalactic laws, cases that haven't been settled in the lower courts, and cases that relate to highly wanted or interstellar criminals.

TECHNOLOGY

Author Note: All the technology listed below is quite literally all made up, or is partially based on some other concept. In reality I have no idea if we're capable of doing/making this stuff, but let's say that anything is possible in the future, right? Also important to note that only very different, unique, or important technologies will be listed below.

Holo-Touch Technology:

Holo-touch technology is, in essence, touch screen technology that can be projected as an interactive holographic image. There are two major components in all holo-touch technology devices: a physical screen and a projector. The screen, composed of several layers of electrically sensitive materials, detects changes in the electrical charge of the screen (i.e. when a link is tapped with your hands) to identify when the screen is being touched and where.

The projector is small, durable, and light-weight. There is often more than one projector on holo-touch technology. Projectors first send out a fine spray of charged sensory particles before displaying an image on the cloud the particles create. Because the particles hang in the air and are loaded with sensors, this creates a holographic screen that can be interacted with. To dispel the image, the particle cloud must be destroyed (i.e. swiping a hand through it). Because there are only a certain amount of sensory particles in holo-touch technology, refills must be purchased every now and then. Information can be transferred through holo-touch devices via an electrical signal they emit.

Examples in the story: Jungkook's computer and work earpiece, touch-cells

Touch-Cell:

A type of highly advanced cellphone. Composed of holo-touch technology, but also functions as an e-reader, directional system, passport, credit/debit card, and ID. It also has a built in AI for situations of extreme urgency that is capable of making rational decisions in order to benefit the user. The touch-cell is the equivalent of your entire life and identity.

Touch-cells are identified through their IP code-number, a twelve or more digit code. This code allows the device to access all Wi-Fi and internet signals and connect to important features. The IP code-number also acts as a phone number, and is traded in place of an actual phone number. In newer models, this transfer can be performed by simply touching the two deceives together.

Particle Blasting:

A method of 'teleportation' developed and tested by the Tripsy-Zargons. They are currently the only ones capable of performing this technique, therefore anyone wishing to particle blast somewhere must first ask them.

Particle blasting involves dissolving a person or object down into the atoms that make up their body. This is done in a large, air-tight chamber to avoid having particles get lost in the process. The particles are then forced to travel to the desired area by using an electric force combined with a special, top-secret element. Once the particles have reached the desired location, they are forced to reform into the original shape. This is a very risky method of travel, but is also one of the quickest ways to get to another place.

Particle blasting is capable of passing through anything with the exception of Plexiglas. Trispy-Zargon scientist are unable to identify why, but are currently working on a solution to the Plexiglas dilemma and looking for ways to make particle blasting safer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Guns are still used in this time line, meaning regular, bullet-firing devices. This is due to the fact that any sort of laser weapon would be difficult to mass produce, as well as being extremely energy inefficient. Therefore all Earthlings use projectile guns, but the same does not go for extraterrestrials.
