background. Htyunju was born Choi Hyun Ju, in Osaka, Japan. She lived their until she was 2, because of her father thought it would be great if she leanred his native culture. Her father is Korean and her mother is Japanese. They moved to Daegu, South Korea because her father really wanted to reunite with his brother. Daegu is where Hyunju met her close cousin, Choi Seungcheol and her Best Friend, Kim Byulhee. They 3 grew up together, but Byulhee mostly grew up with Hyunju. Her mother is a ballet teacher and her father is a business agent. When she was 6, she took piano and Martial Arts. She was always a fast music learner. She won many music awards and got her black belt when she was 12. Which is a secret to everyone except Seungcheol, Byulhee, and Jihoon. She was taught Ballet for a year but dropped out because her teacher was too harsh on her. That teacher was her mother. She now lives in a Shared house and goes to SunGil High School.
