People keep asking me when I'm going to do one, and I'm happy to announce that my writing contest, TENDER ROSE, is now here.  It's designed to cater to various different lengths and genres of fic, so there should be something there for you!

Alongside various 1st/2nd/3rd place prizes and honorary mentions in true AFF writing contest format, I'm also pleased to announce that there will be a Readers' Choice prize, where the readers of AFF vote for their favourite.  I enjoyed doing the readers' choice winner for the graphics contests I've held and thought I might try it out here, too.  So get involved!  Tell your friends to go read if you find a good story; ask your readers to vote and send them in the direction of the competition.

All entries are IDOLxOC (you all know I'm an EXO fan, but if you want to write about other groups/K-pop stars, please do!) or bromance if you don't want no romance.  (I love bromance.  Just saying.)  Beyond that, pick a theme (Silent Love, Exodus or Enter the Unicorn), select your category (below) and it can be whatever you want to make of it.

For those of you doing NaNoWriMo, or who want a taste of NaNoWriMo (you don't have to write a 50k novel in a month – if you want, you can just write a one-shot during the month of November), there is a special category called 'Fast Track'.  There's a minimum-word requirement of 2k, but beyond that, your entry can be as long or short as you want provided you didn't start/upload it before November 1st and it's marked completed by November 30th 2015.

If that's too fast paced for you and you want to do a short fic or a one-shot, then 'Short Haul' is for you!  Again, minimum word requirement of 2k, but your fic can have been started any time after June 1st this year provided it's marked complete by December 31st.  Maximum word count is 20k.

Or, if you want to write something long, why not try the 'Long Haul' category?  Minimum word count of 25k, but the deadline is May 31st 2016, so you would have eight months if you started today (I wrote TBBC in eight months and that's monster length, over 260k – proof that it's doable!).  However, like with 'Short Haul', any fic that you started after June 1st this year is eligible.

You're allowed beta readers/co-authors if you want, though you'll have to manage sharing the prizes.  There's a lot of karma up for grabs, as well as spots on my recs list, and I'm collaborating with StarCross to give the three first place winners of the three categories some amazing graphics.  TBBC readers might recognise this one of hers, which many of you voted for as your favourite:
