ELABORATION —
• whenever jeri is praised or congratulated for anything, or even just complimented for having nice hair, she will always just brush it off, or give the credit to someone else when she can. Although she does secretly love the praise, she hates the rare times when she is the center of attention. This is why she is always stepping back and letting others have her time under the spotlight.
• she is a very shy person, meaning that she isn't the one to strike up a conversation, or even reply to someone when they say hi. She is very quiet, and when someone speaks to her, she will usually just stare at them, and this means that to others, she seems quite rude and cold, but in reality she is just shocked that someone is actually talking to her, and she just doesn't know what to say.

• ever since she was young, jeri has learnt to become very independent, and she doesn't need to rely on anyone else. Because of her upbringing, and some of the harsh things she has heard, she is very vulnerable, and she is easily hurt. and due to her shyness, she is often outspoken, but she accepts when others speak for her, and is often grateful when other people talk for her.
BACKGROUND + CURRENT EVENTS —
• jeri's parents were both involved in a car crash when she was only four years old. Her father had been driving the car, and he had survived with only minor injuries, but unfortunately her mother died. Out of self blame and guilt, her father became a drunk, drowning his miseries with alcohol. As jeri grew older, she began to look more like her mother, which caused her father to hate her even more, and he had no problem insulting his own daughter with harsh words. Jeri hated her father, as he did nothing but hurt her, and as soon as she turned seventeen, she moved out, deciding to live on her own in an apartment. She had gone from job to job since she was thirteen, and since she had saved up all her money, she had just enough for the first six months of rent. she dropped school, getting a full time job as an assistant chef at SGT. Peppers. It is barely enough to live on, but she makes do with what she gets.
RELATIONSHIPS —
• mother - sung hyemin (26 when she died) - deceast - bright, charming, gracious - the only memory jeri has of her mother was on her fourth birthday, and jeri had thought that a cotton ball was candy floss. When she put it in , hyemin had laughed and playfully scolded her daughter after, telling her that it was not candy floss after all. It was a very happy memory for jeri.
• father - sung yongjoon (43) - jobless - selfish, guilt-ridden, weak - after his wife died, yongjoon closed off from everyone, even his own daughter. Although jeri hates her father, she also pities him, and so she checks in on him once everyday to make sure that he is still alive. On a lucky day, he will be passed out on his chair in the living room, and if that is the case, she will do a little tidy of the house. The majority of the time though, he is awake and is always insulting jeri, and although she will never cry in front of her father, she will cry herself to sleep some nights, wishing for her mother to still be alive.
