background. you dad. throughout his whole childhood, sangwoo has never met his dad. his mom used to tell him that his dad would get up before him to go to work and come back home really late. but, sangwoo knew the truth. his uncle told him that when his mom got pregnant, his father freaked out and broke up with his mom. sangwoo still believes that his dad will come back one day so he writes letters to his mom because his mom told him that she would give him to his dad. he knews it's not true, but it doesn't hurt to believe.

 

what's this song? sangwoo discovered his favorite song when he was around 13. he and a few friends passed by a shop selling tvs and the tvs where on display. he stopped to watch an american music video and it was, well, strange. there was a man singing his heart out about a breakup. or sangwoo thought. when he got home, he looked it up and found out the song was viva la vida by coldplay. a few days later, he bought the song and listened to it every night when he fell asleep. his original dream was to become a baseball player but he soon found out that he wanted to be a singer.

 

kimigayo. his mother wanted to take a break from south korea after awhile so she found a friend that lived in japan and they moved to temproarily live there. sangwoo was often teased for his bad japanese and his accent but when he started to fight back, they left him alone and he even made some friends. a talent scout saw him on the streets and asked if he would like to shoot a cf. his mother agreed to it and, slowly, sangwoo started to build his child acting career. during that time, he was very stressful and often broke down so his mom made them move back to korea, where sangwoo felt calmer and more at peace.

 

likes. girl groups. if you say that you hate snsd or aoa around him, he'll probably never talk to you again. you'll find him mumbling the song lyrics and dancing to their songs when he's drunk.

soju. ever since he was able to drink, sangwoo has always drank soju on important events. in his earlier days of drinking, it got out of hand and he had to stop drinking for a while. now, he only drinks three bottles of soju when he's partying.

boa. possible the only female soloist he likes, sangwoo goes crazy over boa. he listened to boa's songs on the radio when he was younger and almost cried when he found out she went on hiatus. he even went to a boa concert with a few female friends so that he wouldn't be judged.

puppies. give sangwoo a puppy and you'll never get it back. he cherishes dogs like their his life and even donated to a few animal shelters.

blue. he used to take an art class in middle school and when he was sad, his teacher would tell him to paint with blue. blue helped him express his feelings and relieved stress.

 

dislikes. bees. sangwoo would be the only person stupid enough to run away from a bee while holding a bottle full of honey.

april. not the girl group from dsp but the month. april 1st is april fool's day and sangwoo only likes the pranks when he does them. it also rains a lot during april.

thunderstorms. they're too loud and noisy. he's been scared of them ever since he was ten, when his friends told him a scary story and the thunderstorm scared him with the lightning and the loud noises.

saesangs. sangwoo would get a lot of them during his acting in japan. once, he caught a saesang going through his underwear drawer. it was one of the reasons why they had to move back to korea.

cold weather. sangwoo is very sensitive to the cold. he goes all out when the temperature goes down and you'll see him in a coat and scarf in the first few days of fall. he also can't be comfortable, wearing the clothes he likes.
