"face of an angel, temper like a volcano." was what her older brother once described her as. her radiant and innocent beauty is a blessing and a curse. it's true that she prides herself on getting what she wants by simply sending someone a smile and a polite request. but then all of a sudden, it's random guys asking for her number when she just met them two minutes ago and gross men groping her on the subway. her slim and tall build have people wondering if she's a model. her slightly chubby cheeks and pale skin has people asking if she's a high schooler. her long brown hair that goes past her shoulders is a hassle to keep straight, especially when it's windy outside, so she usually puts it up into a ponytail. she barely wears makeup, only on formal occasions, and puts on concealer and foundation if she ever feels up for it.

minjung is still known around the station as 'the crazy ' but she takes pride in it now, coming back with a sharp retort if anyone dares to call her that to her face. every man in the station knows to not cross the line around her, especially if the situation arises for a ist joke. because of this, the trainees and younger co-workers are often scared of her but she's usually nice to them, knowing that they'll learn soon enough. she's often ignored for her smarts and widely known for her beauty but she'll make it clear enough that she did not arrive to sit and look pretty.

 

LIFE AT HOME minjung lives only a few blocks away from her older brother, who often comes over and brings her food to eat even though she has enough to host a feast. she lives in a modern and minimalistic single-story apartment with her housemates who are her best friends from college, who are choi sooyoung and im yoona. she's pretty convinced that her older brother has developed a little crush on sooyoung and is always threatening her if he ever has the nerve to ask her out and mess up what she claims is the 'natural order.'

TRIVIA 

THE CRAZY the nickname that came from an incident which happened during her trainne years. the story goes that apparently a guy snuck in and tried to take advantage of her when she was changing in the locker room. when she heard the shutter of a camera go off when she began to take off her shirt, she immediately found the source of the noise and threw her watter bottle at the man, ordering him to come out. she then proceeded to slap him on the face and drag him out of the locker room by pulling his ear. it was an embarassing moment for him as he looked like a little boy being punished by his mother in front of all those people staring at them. she then reported him for ual harassment. "you crazy !" he called after her the day after the incident. she turned around, gave an innocent smile, and replied, "i know i am."
GREEN TEA minjung doesn't like the bitter taste of coffee and claims that it's too sweet with cream so she drinks green tea with drops of honey instead. she usually says "get me a glass of green tea" when she feels to stressed out.
SAILOR'S MOUTH when minjung gets angry, she starts cursing like she's drunk. it feels strange to hear the words 'er' and '' come out of but if you're someone like jiseok, you're probably used to it. it'll slip in her usual everyday conversation sometimes but she starts acting like a nun immediately when children are around.

LOVETALK aside from the summer flings she had and the usual kiss during high school, minjung's never been in an actual relationship. her mother is always pushing her to settle down with a nice man but, in all honesty, minjung doesn't have time to get married. and if she ever does, she wants to wait for the right person. ugh, that was so cheesy.
COMMANDER jiseok is often teasing minjung because of her temper. she's always hitting him gently, not too hard to actually hurt him. she doesn't really hate him, it's just one of those 'you're my friend but i hate you' friendships that they have.

WORK BUDDIES even though she swears on her life that sooyoung and yoona are the greatest friends she'll always have, she can't help but admit that she gets along with yijeon pretty good. jiseok and yijeon are practically the only work friends that minjung has and she thinks the whole reason why her and yijeon get along with each other is because of the fact that they both scare everyone in their way.

[a split second of static shows before minjung shows up on the screen, visibly tired with sweat shining on her skin.]

MINJUNG: [panting hard] day three of, [she pauses to catch her breath.] getting ready for the mission. [she takes a swig of water before jiseok shows up on the screen, who doesn't look like he's tired at all even though they both ran thirty laps around the track.]
JISEOK: [snorts] wow, rookie. already getting tired?

MINJUNG: [turns around to glare at him] i may be tired but i can still you up. [she turns back to the camera with a normal look on her face.]

JISEOK: [gives a slightly dramatic gasp and puts a hand on his chest] you're so rude to me, lee minjung. why are you cursing at your superior?

[minjung gives another glare at him and he puts both of his hands up, as if he didn't mean to be offensive, muttering a 'my bad.']

MINJUNG: [turns back to the camera] i got a -ton more laps to go. so, i'll see you later.
JISEOK: and me too! [pops his head in with a smile and gives a thumbs-up.]

[the video cuts off right before you can see minjung lunge for jiseok as his face contorts in horor.]

well... [she pauses for a moment and takes a breath] when i was younger, my father was an astronaut. and because of that, i wanted to become one. i was always such a curious soul when i was younger. [she chuckles softly as she reminisces about her time] but, soon enough, my father left the family. [the room gets quiet when the last sentence falls on her tongue. she swallows and opens to talk again] but that never affected my dream to become an astronaut. and, well, here i am now.

 

[she smiles as she hears that the next question lightens the mood up a bit] of course i do! i love every bit of it! [her smile falls slightly] aside from the unwanted flirting i get from some of my co-workers and the old men who think they can put me in my place, this job is practically a dream come true. [she smiles innocently] next question?

 

[her eyes widen a bit at the sudden question] i would try to get the pilot's attention to get the ship out of the way. then, well, i would try to help my other co-workers. [she nods as she finishes her sentence] that is, if the meteoroid misses us.

 

[she shrugs] i'll survive. [she looks at the floor and her mind flashes back to her older brother and her roommates on earth] yeah. [she looks up and smiles slightly] i'll be okay.
