Personality: This little boo is the embodiment of the imaginary boyfriend to tween school girls and Jiwoos everywhere. But let's break it down shall we? Sweeter than sugar, this little nugget is never less than kind. He naturally thinks of what to do for others and rarely thinks rude thoughts. He's not sassy, he's not mean, and he probably doesn't have a bad bone in his body. If he does snap though- you've gone too far because this baby rarely loses his cool. Resourceful and quick to act, he'll always jump up to help before thinking about consequences. He's also crazy genuine. What you see is what you get with this baby. No difference between what he's like on stage, off stage, with his friends or with his family. Down to earth, he's practical and simple. Pretty average and relatable (And funny). He's also devoted to what he does, wanting to live out his father's dream as well as his own, while still being able to stay humble with his talents.   

Sadly, however, my baby can't be perfect. He is quite an awkward nugget. He's just awkward. He's also a little naive, probably just given his age and easygoing personality. He doesn't want to be in the way or speak out. He's also an innocent little fella so that goes hand in hand. Spineless, he's not one to seek adventure and is not good with confrontation. He's simple minded and doesn't think things through all the way, but at the same time can find the most simple things satisfying. He's petty in the eyes of the industry and is forever stuck on the bottom of the todem pole, so when he's put in the spotlight or put in a position of importance he might feel awkward or get hate from some older people in the industry. He's pretty weak in terms of strenght and build, but I mean he is a kid so that's fine. He's also a little weak in mind. He's not the most outgoing person and is pretty reserved and introverted, but he's not a loner- he just keeps to himself and wants to stay out of the way of others.  

Background: Cha DaeHwan was born on August 7th, 1999 to two wonderful parents in Busan, Korea. They were so excited and so blessed to start their family and so on and so forth (especially because he was the sweetest little child there ever was) When DaeHwan was 6, his parents had gone on a vacation to celebrate their anniversary and he had planned to stay with his grandmother who owned a coffee shop along the coast. After dropping their son off at the shop they began their drive to the airport for their nighttime flight. On thier drive- they got in a car crash with a drunk driver and passed. Angsty childhood stuff- tried to run away at their funeral, refused to live with his grandmother, yada yada. Long story short- he ended up moving to Seoul to live with his mother's younger sister, InSook, who was definitely not ready to be take care of a kid, but she did it anyways. 

DaeHwan really was a sweet child. He wanted to do everything in his ability to make his aunt's life easier. He performed his best in school in order not to make her worry, learned how to cook some basic meals on his own for when she returned home from a busy day at work and was too tired to cook, he helped basically do everything around the house. The only time he ever got in trouble was when he was 12. His aunt came home from a long day at work and he was no where in sight. She was worried sick and looked absolutely everywhere for him, called every contact she could think of, and soon enough- found him in a shopping center playing the guitar and singing. His guitar case was open and there was a small pile of money inside. When she finally got to him she instantly hugged him, glad that he was okay, and scolded him for making her worry. He just simply stated that he lost track of time. He had apperently been going there every day for the past few weeks in an order to get some extra money. He didn't want to scare her, he just wanted to give her a helping hand since her job didn't pay her all that much. He was slowly collecting money in order to give it to her to help pay the bills. She was brought to tears and their relationship began to be one of actual family. 

This is when Jiwoo discovered him. He had seen him playing there once before and decided to return day after day to watch him. DaeHwan's voice was very developed for his age and although his guitar skills were not as strong you could tell that his heart and soul were deep in the music. He went to SM telling them that he had found their newest trainee and went back to find him and bring him to the company. After some searching (Since his aunt wouldn't let him play on the streets anymore) he found him and told him he had a guarenteed spot to be an idol if he wanted it. While his aunt was hesitant to let him, she knew it was his father's dream and another way to bring income. Not soon after he had been given a contract as a trainee under SM, Jiwoo was put in a coma. While Double H was contemplating the state of their contracts, SM was training DaeHwan. They were hoping to put him in an idol group, but Julie insisted that whatever Double H's decision was- the kid went with them. DaeHwan was put on the backburner and Jiwoo woke up. Double H Entertainment became a thing and Jiwoo kept DaeHwan. Shortly after DaeHwan left SM- the SM Rookies started promotions, something that was never even a thought when DaeHwan was there. Soon enough Jiwoo insisted that DaeHwan become one of Double H's 5 soloists- against many of the member's complaints due to his young age, until Julie spoke up yet again about how most of them debuted at a younger age than he would. Then it was settled. In theory though, most of the young idols don't debut as soloists and first start out in a group- with the exception of BoA who debuted at like 13 but that was a long time ago...

→ His most prized possesion is his father's guitar, which he recieved after they passed. It's the only guitar he's ever played and he refuses to play any other.

→ The first time he rode on a plane he had to take sleeping medication because he was so freaked out about flying over water. 
→ The five soloists were going to have a photoshoot together on a beach and he was scared to get too close to the water. Unlike some of the others during the shoot, JaeKyung and her protective instincts took charge and helped him get more comfortable.

Appearance: In all honesty- he looks exactly like he does in the galleries. (other than the pictures with colored hair) He has brown/black hair depending, no piercings and no tattoos, and he's pretty tall for his age (but not like crazy tall. like average tall.) 

Style: T-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and sweaters paired with a pair of skinny jeans is basically all he wears. I'm sorry he's not very interesting. I mean other than his school uniform, that's it. Plus even when he's performing they let him keep his day to day style because it keeps his teenager/boy nextdoor feel. He also really likes letterman-style jackets. (so basically anything you find in the galleries or of the ulzzang online is fair game for his look. :p Sorry it's not very specific. He's a typical guy.) However- he does often wear tank tops while he sleeps and the fanciest he'll probably get is a nice button down...

Personality: [Taken from her EeteuksAngel's app]JaeKyung is a little bit of a tomboy at times, but she can be very girly at others. She is a hard-worker, always striving to do her best. She is very kind and caring and she will ofter help whenever there is a need and has a tendency to look out for those around her. She likes to goof around and have fun and loves a good banter. However, her tongue is a bit too quick at times. While, her forth-coming nature does instill in others trust towards her honesty, it has sometimes gotten her into trouble, bordering on (or being just complete) bluntness. On top of that, her tongue can be a bit sarcastic at times. However, when she finds that she has offended someone, she will go out of her way to set things right and make it up to that person.

Meeting: Let's be honest. He's a closet fangirl of GΛΜΞ ΘVΣR soooo... He didn't know that some of the girls from the group were going to be transfering to Double H as well, and when they did he was shocked. They disbanned before he was signed at SM so when JaeKyung, and later SunHi, were signed he was stunned. He had no clue she was signed either until a big meeting with the CEOs about the soloists. She approached him and told him that if he needed anything to find her and she'd be there for him. 

Interaction(s): First off let me just say that DaeHwan is a teenage boy. So when everyone else sees the image to the left, he sees this. He has a crush on his noona because she is so nice to him and wants to give him a helping hand and warm smile. Literally there are no romantic interactions between them whatsoever. He's just got a dumb little crush on her. 

 

 

Love Rival: Kim Aerri 

Status: Classmate (POOR GIRL HAS HAD A CRUSH ON HIM SINCE THE BEGINING OF TIME)

Personality: She's a cutie patootie, loves cute things, does aegyo a lot, is sweet, young, innocent, and hopelessly in love with this nugget. She wears her feelings on her sleeve- which is the exact opposite of our little Romeo here- and drops countless hints that she would like him. This fool however is so swamped with school and idol stuff and being consumed in his little crush and fangirling over JaeKyung that it goes unnoticed. 

Meeting: They've been friends since DaeHwan moved to Seoul with his aunt. While DaeHwan was quiet and didn't have much interest in making friends- she stepped up to the plate to befriend him. They've been good friends ever since. 

Interaction(s): They were supppppper close for quite a while, however- there are some things that she never knew about him. For example- she had no clue that he was a musician, and when he was playing music on the streets for money- she had no idea. He'd never mentioned it to her and wasn't planning on it since it was something between him and his father. It wasn't until he got signed with SM that rumors were going around school about how the quiet boy was going to be an idol. She was in disbelief and was like "Can you believe these rumors? You? A trainee for SM? No way." and then he had to tell her, and explained that he was basically just doing it to help fund his aunt- just like any other kid would get a job. 

Since he had begun being a trainee- he had less and less time available to spend with Aerri, which made her openly sad and dissapointed. He would try to make it up to her however by making plans, but they would fall through at the last minute due to extended practices. They really only saw each other in school, but only in one class- as they were lab parteners (even though they're both bad at science)- since most of his classes were on a funky schedule due to training. 

In the past however- she would give him chocolates on Valentine's day (even though he didn't see it as anything more than candy and friendship. Especially because he'd give her something for White day and they'd celebrate Black day together too- he's just in it for the food) She'd cling to him in crowds, she'd drag him shopping with her and she'd purposefully try on cute outfits to try to get his attention, they'd play video games together as a kid (they played some of them together but sometimes she'd just sit there with him while he played Starcraft and stuff and just eat snacks) and when it would get late she'd pretend to fall asleep to see if he'd have secret feelings for her. He's kinda blind when it comes to love so ya know. No reactions to anything.
