in light of recent events (aka changing my dp) it has come to my attention that rei (offwhite) does not know seventeen
[disregarding the fact that she's still kinda new to kpop but whatever]
anyways, she needs to slip and fall into the diamond life so here we go with an abbreviated version of "SEVENTEEN 101"

also, lack of formatting bc this is a crash course into her soon to be downfall
and i'm really procrastinating on reviews so whatever

SEVENTEEN is a 13 member boy group from PLEDIS (After School, Orange Caramel, NU'EST [rip], HELLOVENUS [prior to sticky sticky])
NOW BEFORE YOU SAY "WHY IS IT SEVENTEEN AND NOT THIRTEEN" THIS SHALL EXPLAIN ENOUGH

but tl;dr they were originally seventeen for the number of members in their group, but 4 left, and it was just too late to change it
now the new reasoning is 13 members + 3 units + 1 team = seventeen

but 3 units = vocal, performance, hip hop
  


technically speaking they debuted with shining diamond (hence why we all fall into the diamond life)

also another logical reason why their debut mini is called 17 CARAT (diaaaaaaamonds)

but their actual debut song is ADORE U (they also made multiple versions of their practice video)

jeonghan (yoon jeonghan)
unofficial (but official) beauty of seventeen, long haired member, the angel (born on 1004), vocal team member


joshua (hong jisoo)
vocal team member, the guy from LA, half of team AMERICA, the guy with the guitar, don't mention him to royaltea (lol)


jun (wen junhui)
performance team member, half of team CHINA, kim heechul's long lost child, the actor!dol of seventeen (is an actor from china), rip long hair (bc of jessi)


hoshi (kwon soonyoung)
performance team leader, 17's choreographer, 10:10 (refers to his eyes), literal that jokes around with dk and seungkwan alot


wonwoo (jeon wonwoo)
hip hop team member, deepest voice of the group, the "sloth" (was actually a mistranslation but he stuck with it), 1/2 of the main otp of seventeen, cues mcr


woozi (lee jihoon)
vocal team leader, 17's composer (he composed like the whole mini album and more), shortest member, he cute but dangerous, pink haired fairy


dk/dokyum (lee seokmin)
my pride and joy, vocal team member, biggest smile, a joker w/ hoshi + seungkwan, team's "vitamin", gets lifted up in adore u by s.coups lol


mingyu (kim mingyu)
hip hop team member, 9/10 you stan him first then move on, 1/2 of the main otp of seventeen (meanie couple), tallest mofo, "potential" visual of seventeen


the8 (xu minghao)
performance team member, cool cutie of seventeen, master of aegyo, half of team CHINA, needs absolutely more love, bboy of the group


seungkwan (boo seungkwan)
vocal team member, practically the promoter in seventeen (speaks a lot in interviews), mc boo, secret member of hiphop team, JEJU, cries for his mom alot


vernon (chwe hansol)
hip hop team member, 10/10 you stan first (next to mingyu) and maybe you move on?, went on smtm4 lol, half of team AMERICA, half white/korean


dino (lee chan)
performance team member, maknae of the group, like the cutest michael jackson fan ever (no lie, will do anything for mj), but like literally the cutest ever

they had their own predebut show since 2012 (17TV) and then had another TV show called seventeen project
and since then they had random interviews here and there, went on After school club, and have their own show on afreecaTV called Andromeda
so if you literally want to know anything else about them i suggest heading over to these tumblrs

their following has blown up since their debut but there are some die hard fans since their 17TV days
so you'll encounter fans that'll over ualize them : ( they're like your age rei, don't do that
but they're definitely worth the quick look over and maybe you'll fall into this trash called seventeen
