ok so let’s just get this over with. I'm a BTS-stan and love BTS to death so this had to come up eventually anyways.

these past days i’ve been away to sweden, and I’m pretty much stuck in nowhere still. My queue’s been running on Tumblr, but that’s it.

I have not seen the interview with Namjoon, and didn’t even know of it until today, when I looked it up on some of the Namjoon-blogs I follow (the interview has been taken down, but if anyone has a link to an alternative source I’d be thankful). Namjoon did wrong, I agree. He should have been more understanding, at least seeing how he’s a very bright person, and he has a very international way of thinking and cultural understanding. Some have also been saying he offended Taehyung and Hoseok, whom he also should apologize to (I believe this doesn’t need to be done officially, they will surely talk that out if they have not already). Still, this has come up. He did wrong and he should apologize as this actually roots in hate-crimes in other parts of the world, although being dark-skinned has another origin in South Korea. 

But you know what?

Namjoon should not step down as the leader of Bangtan, what the hell. He is a great leader and he is an important part of the group. What is Bangtan without Namjoon? It wouldn’t even have existed. I am proud of Namjoon for being who he is and I think he is a very deep person, but I acknowledge the fact that he did wrong and I will not defend of excuse him, because it should not be defended or excused. He should apologize and admit he was wrong to say such a thing. But stepping down would not solve anything, it would split the group and the fandom.

Also, sending him death threats? What the hell is that? Kill himself, really? That has killed people before and it should not take another life. NO ONE, NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE DONE, should be told to kill themselves. Namjoon said something wrong. But is that something to commit suicide for? Are the people sending those threats so ignorant? It’s absolutely horrible and no one should ever recieve something as horrible as that. That makes the sender as ignorant as Namjoon might have acted. I've never recieved death threats thankfully, but as a person who goes to the psychologist and has had - and still has - trouble with suicidal thoughts, I understand how it affects someone, even if they are not sucicidal. Do you even know how horrible that feels? Not wanting to live, and have people telling you they don't want you to live simply because of one wrongdoing? Those things are really ed up and I honestly feel like crying because no one should ever have to recieve such a message.

Stop the death threats. If you’re going to say something, say he was wrong and needs to apologize although he probably knows that already.

People makes mistakes - that’s what makes us human. But he does not need to step down as the leader of Bangtan, that’s not a solution. There are other ways to make amends for what he said.
