Mine never did. Mine stayed, kept growing with me, getting stronger and stronger, making me fear it because they aren't supposed to stay. They aren't supposed to get stronger, be able to overpower you. They are supposed to leave and not let you live in fear because there is a nursery rhyme that I can't get out of my head with every new day. 

In the world covered by darkness there are two types of beings; the ones who are fragile and the ones to be feared. And honestly, no one is as afraid as me.
