Other Names
— kayla : english name : when yejung and jongin first arrived in london, people had trouble saying her name, so she told them to call her kayla. ( i had to make an english name for yejung because i think people will have trouble saying her name in london. and, i think it'll be harder for the government to find her, since her name in london is 'kayla' and not 'yejung'. c: )
Nickname
— cheonyeo gwishin 처녀 귀신 : it's the name of a female korean ghost. jongin started it, he said she's scary, like that ghost. only jongin uses this nickname. it's actually made when he first made eye contact with her. her gaze was hard and icy, so he thought she was 'scary'.

D.O.B.  july 14th, 1994

— english : conversational : she's a fast-learner, and although the education she got was basic, she managed to use some of her free time to 'study' this language. although her pronounciation is good, she doesn't know a lot of vocabulary, and is pretty horrible when it comes to past and present-tenses.
PRIMARY
History –
— at first, yejung hated the "institute". she hated everybody related to the place. especially the people who put her here. who are these people and what do they want from her? people who think that she's too naive to understand what's going on is wrong. yejung, even as a child, was smart enough to know ( she doesn't know the whole purpose, though ) that her life in the institute is not considered normal. she hated her daily routine ; study, eat, sleep.. it's boring, she doesn't have time for freedom. everytime yejung looked out the window, she saw nothing. the window didn't expose the real world. looking at it was pointless. she saw 23 other people around her age, who shared the same routine as her.

when yejung was young, she didn't really interacted with any of them. they only made brief eye contact, and then they would look away. well, except for this subject named kim dani. she saw yejung looking out the window once, and immediately knew that she was curious about the outside world. so she told her stories about the outside world, stories she heard from a caretaker. she was fond of dani. it's a rare thing for yejung to like another person. they weren't really friends, just good acquaintances. since yejung's pretty young that time, she was less unnaproachable. yejung would also overhear people, staffs, talking about the outside world. little by little, she understood more. when yejung became a little older, she turned into a fully rational and mature person, and learned to accept the institue and it's people. she accepted that this is her fate, and she can't change it. yejung became on of the smartest test subjects ( the second or the third smartest ), intelligent and disciplined.

later, she and the other 23 was called by the head scientist of 3X0-DU5, and they were gathered in the laboratory. it was very different from what she experienced during the past 18 years. it was her first time in the laboratory, so everything seemed weird to her. then, yejung was forced to get in these tube thingies called 'pods'. she didn't know what they're going to do to her, so she got in anyway. when multiple needles stabbed her body, she immediately regretted it. it hurt so much, even someone as strong as yejung didn't appear that strong. during that process, her sight wasn't that clear, and she couldn't even make out if the liquid injected was blue or purple. when the whole process was done, yejung's body became weak- it got normal a few minutes later, though.

here comes the part that yejung dislikes the most: when the head scientist assigned her a partner. she was hoping to get a calm, collected, and intelligent partner like subject kyungsoo or joonmyeon ( she observed them for the past years and concluded that they're good people ), or at least a subject that she knows. but her hopes were crushed when the scientist introduced her to a tanned-skinned boy name jongin, also known as her partner. he smirked at her and she gazed coldy at him. yejung swore she saw him flinch for an instant, before turning back to normal. he even called her 'cheonyeo gwishin', which made yejung even more angry. when they were both thrown into the same room together, she saw hell. yejung disliked jongin; his cocky, talkative, inconsiderate, and confident personality. basically, all of him. she has trust issues, anyway.

heck, yejung even complained to the scientist. but he'd always say that she'll eventually grow fond of him. the fact that they have to interact to become stronger scares her the most. in their room, they slept in seperate beds ( yejung requested it ), and to keep the distance, yejung placed a curtain between their beds. it's like a wall that seperates them. they didn't interact in their room that much. jongin wants to, but she doesn't. the scientist would force her to eat together with jongin, sit beside him. yejung did sit beside him, but when the professor looked away, she'd go away and eat with dani. he noticed it, and as time pass by, oddly, he was attracted to her. little did yejung know, jongin would open the curtain that seperates them, and sleep in her bed ( he'd wake up earlier than her though, and move to his own bed ). basically, she hated him and he's attracted to her. it was an awkward relationship.

the 24 subjects were trained for 14 days. it excites yejung; she gets to use a gun and other military protocols. it was easy for her to carry the weapons, since her strength is good. also, she found her speciality: hand-in-hand combat. yejung has trouble firing the guns, though. jongin even offered her his help, but she'd always refuse. after the training, her strength and aim builded up. during the buncheon "flu" mission, yejung managed to kill the infected, and protect the innocent. she did feel a little guilty, killing people. and being the quite pessismistic person she is, yejung thought she'll get infected during the mission. but the scientist reassured her that none of the test subject can get infected. to her surprise, the mission ended after 10 days.

months after the buncheon mission, weird things happened. first, she saw subject chanyeol and his partner interacting with fire. it was a very weird sight, and yejung hoped that it was only her imagination. second, when she and jongin was walking to their room, jongin who walked infront of her, strangely dissapeared. it panicked the whole institute- there was a small search, because to scientist lee seunghwan, losing one of his 'creations' cannot be tolerated. it was subject yixing who found jongin in a hallway; only to vanish mysteriously again when he was brought to professor lee. yejung herself, experienced it. she was eating, but suddenly vanished. the next thing she knew, she was in her room. it scared yejung how she and jongin can travel from one place to another without walking or running. after an examination from the professor, he told the pair that they have the power to teleport. yejung was glad that she wasn't the only one experiencing such things. there was a night, where jongin persuaded her to teleport outside the institute. because yejung was curious about the world, she agreed, and they teleported outside the institute. the staffs noticed it, and they were sent back to their room.

yejung and the other 23 test subjects were thrown into cells with advanced security. she felt like it was happening all over again. yejung started hating the institute again, like when she was 6. seriously, how selfish and mean can they get? this "prison" life is too boring; all yejung does is stare at the wall, wait for her food to come, and then sleep. she already had the thought of teleporting outside her cell, but she learned from a guard that the security system will be able to notice her absence. if that happens, an alarm will turn on. and being the bold and rational person she is, yejung would constantly insult the staff in the institute when they are bringing her the food to her cell. "you selfish, horrible human being(s). don't you know imprisoning us is also against the human rights? or are you just too stupid and brainless to know? this is not the right thing to do, we are innocent people!"  or even " the government." yes, she said that once. although her statement was half right. but then, the wierd thing is, yejung felt unusual to not be in the same room with jongin. yejung shaked that feeling off. a few days later, an angel that fell from heaven ( in this case, professor lee ) freed them from their cells. eversince that, yejung viewed the proffessor as her dad. or because he's old, as her grandpa.

the escape was horrible. people were chasing them, trying to capture them. you might think that the escape is easy for yejung, because all she needs to do is teleport to the aircraft and they're safe. but no, it's hard for them. the situation is just too chaotic, they basically can't think, all they can do is run and defend. yejung is basically too panicked to think and teleport. and besides, she's very pessismistic about this escape- the first thing she pictured in her mind is her lying on the ground, lifeless. however, her partner, jongin, helped the pairs who were running behind teleport to the front. seeing him do that, somehow, yejung calmed down a bit. she started to think, and did the same thing her partner did. she helped baekhyun and his partner, who were running behind her, teleport to the entrance of the aircraft. almost everybody is entering at this moment. she didn't help dani and her partner though, because if they got in the aircraft first, there's no wall that's going to protect them. there were only two subjects left, luhan and yifan.

just when yejung tried holding their hand to teleport them to the aircraft, they got shot in the chest. it was a horrible sight, a terrifying thing to watch. where were their partners anyway? and before the same person that shot the two shot her, yejung teleported to the entrance of the aircraft and got in. she immediately felt like she was guilty for their death. the images of yifan and luhan dead played in her mind- which made her more terrified. she didn't tell anyone, though. as if that's not enough, she watched jongin help dani into the aircraft and kick kyungsoo ( what happened to kaisoo sobs ) down. yejung could've helped him, but she sat on the back of the aircraft, so it was hard for her to reach kyungsoo. of course, yejung got very x5 angry at jongin for making that decision. why is he so stupid? she was just warming up to him, but this is not acceptable. when they took off, yejung immediately punched- yes, not slap- jongin on his right cheek, giving him a bruise. on the corner of her eye, she saw dani grinning a bit. yejung launched into an extremely long lecture. "you idiot! you have two hands, don't you?! you could've used the other one to help kyungsoo! wait, i forgot that you're so ing stupid. ah, what's the point. i don't want to waste my precious time on you."

Personality Traits –
the ones that make you smile // disciplined, intelligent, independent, strong, bold
the ones that make you frown // unnaproachable, serious, pessismistic, rational
Personality
— " ..... no. " : she's not talkative alright. yejung's completely far, far from that trait. park yejung is so silent, you'll think she's a mute. she's someone who doesn't talk a lot.. someone quite serious. not the typical person who likes to chit chat or talk non-stop about herself. yejung thinks that she should only speak when it's necessary. "hey, did you see that hot guy over there?" do you think a park yejung would answer that question? of course not. she's not someone you'd prank or around with. calling her immature would be the biggest understatement of the year; yejung doesn't have time for child's play. as a serious person, she's very demanding and very thoughtful. when she says that you're smart, then you're smart. oh, and yejung hates sarcastic people. she thinks sarcasm is a big waste of time, and that you should say what you're supposed to say. because of her serious-ness, people tend to be bored of her. because you have to be very serious around her, it's like yejung wears a big red sign on her head that says "i take everything seriously, don't joke around me." yejung is barely into conversations.she doesn't even talk, really. yejung keeps things to herself.. she doesn't talk about her opinions, thoughts, and feelings. basically "talk less do more". she believes that she should use her brain more, not .yejung gets less progressive when she talks. besides, she's not born with many words. she doesn't know what to say, how to start a conversation, etc.

— " i don't want to be friends with you. " : first she's quiet, second she's very unnaproachable. everywhere she goes, yejung is very expressionless; which gives her that scary, unnaproachable aura. her first impression is always bad.she's.. a little cold, i guess? not many people has the courage to be friends with her. also the tone she uses when she speaks—it doesn't sound really friendly. not only the tone, but the way and the words she uses too. instead of; "it's okay, i can do it myself", she says "i don't need your help, get lost..". you can't expect the infamous park yejung to give you sweet words and hug you, can you? she's not the first person you want to be friends with, more like the last. you know, she'd rather be alone than be with anyone, anyone in the world. well that's an exception for the people she trusts, like her best friend or something. and just so you know, it's really hard for her to open up, let alone be kind to you. yejung doesn't feel guilty whenever she acts cold towards somebody. i guess she's born cold. and yes, she might be quite introverted—like i said, she has trust issues ( it appeared when she was still in the orphanage, when the people from the institute came to "pick her up". the nurturer in her orphanage said that they are just normal people who want to adopt her, when they are actually scientists that needs a test subject. eversince that, she has trust issues ( ? ) ).

" a^2 + b^2 = c^2! ": to yejung, in life, her goals comes first. yes, she may not like the institute, but she just has to be good—it's for the sake of her freaking future. yejung swore that if she's not stuck at this institute, she'll enjoy her teenage years in a proper way. moving on to the point; yejung knows what she needs to do and what she has to do. she's very disciplined, she's not someone who slacks off. she obeys the rules, although sometimes she can be a little bold. her behaviour is controlled, most of the times. besides that, yejung is very intelligent. she is full of knowledge, and her intelligence can be used to make plans, strategies, etc. it's an advantage, especially if you're a runaway test subject. yejung understands things easily, and she has a high mental capacity. her memory is also strong.

" so what? " : yejung's so independent, she basically doesn't need anybody to accompany her. she could totally live alone. she accepts her self. yejung believes in herself—well technically, at this point, she's also confident, i guess. yejung doesn't need a role model, her role model is herself. her independence is built with her belief that she'll never trust anyone. with trusting no one, she doesn't want anyone to help her ( but if it's an emergency, she'll let people help ), and therefore, her life continues with no one helping her. yejung is strong; she's not someone who gets teary easily. her eyes only provides space for an unwelcoming, emotionless, and blank gaze. automatically, people are 'scared' of her. and seeing how she acts scares them even more. park yejung is infamous. nobody calls her names right in front of her face—only stupid people do that—because they know she will ignore them, roll her eyes at them—which they tend to find annoying (for a reason). her life motto is; "ignore, ignore, ignore, ignore." park yejung is probably the strongest girl you'll ever meet; words don't hurt her, actions don't hurt her.

" can't you use your brain? " : yejung is always in a rational state of mind. very logical. she's pretty serious, realistic, and thinks that the solution to everything is logic. yejung is the non-fiction to the fiction. she only believes in the things that are possible. saying that she believes in unicorns and mythical creatures would be a big understatement. her intelligence is actually a trait that helps develop this rational side of hers. in order to be rational, yejung accepts herself and the world ( it's kind of hard for her to cope with some people, though. she views things in a very very realistic way. yejung is also very pessismistic- the opposite of optimistic. since she was little, she's always expecting the worst things to happen. yejung never pictures herself winning anything- and always thinks that she will somehow 'die' in the institute. she thinks that her life is almost hopeless. however, that doesn't mean that she's a coward. although yejung is very pessismistic, she's also bold; which is contradicting. she believes that bad things will happen, but isn't afraid to face it. in other words, yejung is courageous. she's almost fearless. yejung can be ignorant sometimes, so ignorant that she's doing that she's not supposed to do and faces the risks. some people thinks it's weird and some people thinks her boldness is her 'charm'.

Bonds –
— kim dani | friends or good acquaintances | when they were children, dani used to tell her stories about the outside world that she heard from a caretaker ( also explained in the history section ). when they grew up, they would share small interactions like dani eating the food yejung dislikes, or yejung helping dani with the lessons she doesn't understand. now, dani has a teeny tiny hate for yejung, just because she's jongin's partner. she refused to see the two when they visited her a while ago, which made yejung feel bad. but she visited dani again ( alone, no jongin ), and dani eventually agreed to meet her, after hearing that yejung is there alone.

— kim joonmyun | acquaintances | although yejung was considered as one of the most smartest subjects in the institute, sometimes, she still needs help with some lessons. joonmyeon helps her with the things she doesn't understand. when they grew up, they didn't really interact that much, especially when he got his partner. now, it's just a small wave or a simple hi or hello.

Things to Note –
— subject is known to be left-handed, but eats and writes with her right hand ( her left hand is stronger ). ( the caretakers at the institute used to tell her that 'it's not good to eat with the left hand', and told her to eat with the right hand. she got used to to it )
— subject is allergic to mushrooms.
— subject ( and her partner ) owns a dog ( in london ) named 'monggu'
— subject is a cat person

Current Condition
with the help of the head scientist, they 'escaped' to london. a place far away from where they live, the last time yejung checked. why london? ask jongin. it's supposed to be easy if you have him as a partner. but it's not, really. he's so stubborn; it's hard to make a decision. when the two first arrived, they have no place to settle in. yejung would always ask, "why not teleport to a safe and comfortable place?" and he would say, "hey idiot, i don't even know this place. we don't even have a map. besides, what if we get caught sneaking in someone else's place?". that made her angry, of course. she made them split up, but after a minute, jongin ran back to yejung. he says everything is better done together or something. they searched for a place for a really long time, and still haven't found one. when they first went there, it was midnight, so they had to sleep under a small bridge. yejung is still a little angry at him for kicking kyungsoo; so she kept her distance.

the next morning, jongin found this super cheap flat for rent. they can afford to buy it, but chose to rent it instead. since yejung thinks that they won't be staying here forever ( temporary ), so buying it would be a waste of money. yejung talked with the owner ( to be specific, the rent cost is like $50 per month. it costs a lot to live in london, so. the quality of the flat is bad anyways ). in order to live and pay the rent, they both have to have a job. since yejung and jongin doesn't have the recquirements to have big jobs ( work permit, etc. ), they both took part-time jobs, and they both took jobs in a cafe. the pay isn't big, but according to yejung, if they live frugally, it'll be more than enough. so yeah, the two are currently living their life frugally, eating bread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. they even used english names- yejung's is "kayla", and jongin's is "kai". after a week or two, jongin adopted a dog, named it monggu, and called it their "guardian angel".

after a while, the two decided to visit kim dani. they teleported to where she was staying. when they arrived, they told the professor that they're here to see dani. yejung wasn't surprised when the professor told them that dani didn't want to see them. she was also expecting to hear it. dissapointed, jongin and yejung left.

yejung is still trying to warm up to jongin. again, she's still a little angry about the kyungsoo incident. she eventually got over the death of yifan and luhan, and realized that it wasn't her fault after all. this might sound mean and selfish, but shouldn't their partners save them? and couldn't they save themselves? as for  their plans for the future; jongin is thinking about renting a bigger apartment, and finding for a better job. yejung is actually fine with their current condition. as long as she lives, everything is fine. she actually pictured them getting caught, but she tried thinking positive for once. now, jongin and yejung realized that they should be careful; there might be spies everywhere. they don't really use their powers.  their powers are still considered weak. blame it on yejung, she never wants to engage in any kind of with jongin, eversince kyungsoo got kicked off the aircraft.

Bond
since the very beggining yejung somehow disliked jongin. it was something like "i-dislike-you" at first sight. when she got to know him better, she disliked him even more. yejung hated his cocky and rather ( too ) confident personality. she thought that the professor made a mistake for pairing her with a guy that is the exact opposite of her. in fact, she looked at jongin with a hardened gaze, and he got scared at her for a moment. he even compared her to a ghost! yejung, of course, hated the nickname jongin gave her. she threatened him, saying that if he calls her that one more time, she'll stab him multiple times. jongin uses it anyway, despite the threat. jongin is actually looking forward to doing things with her. he's  attracted to her personality. jongin is trying his best to impress yejung, and he'll do anything to make her like him. when they are alone in their room, nothing interesting will happen. yejung doesn't say anything, and jongin would talk to make her talk.
"you know, i actually hate the professor so much. he's so weird, i swear!"
"..."
"his mustache is so thick. he should shave it off. and his nose is so big! the professor should get plastic surgery in the future or something. do you agree, yejung?"
"shut up."

their conversation always begins with jongin talking, and it always ends with yejung shutting him up.

during the flu, jongin thought that it was his chance to show yejung that he's actually not that bad. he looked after her, and made sure that she was safe and free from the flu. at first, yejung disliked how jongin acted. but slowly, it started to work. she started to think that maybe, he's not that bad after all. yejung felt that she owed him one, because he saved her from an infected. the way they interacted also changed- yejung became less meaner and they finally talk to each other. jongin stayed by her side everyday, and to be honest, it made her smile. to jongin, the flu was a miracle; it gave him the chance to interact with yejung. they even hugged, which is pretty surprising.

both yejung and jongin understood that their powers work best when their together, and it will grow stronger when they "interact more". after the flu, their powers grow stronger, because again, they got closer and interacted more. however, it was still considered "weak" compared to the others; especially the ones that had already engaged in an . they never really had a serious skinship before, and the most "serious" one they did was hugging ( it only happened once or twice ). when one of them teleports, the partner will always feel it. and somehow, the other one will know where the other one teleported to. so when yejung teleported to dani's place, jongin actually felt it. when one of them isn't around, they will grow a little weaker.

— after the super scandalous kyungsoo-dani-jongin incident, yejung changed her thoughts on him. it's as if everything jongin did during the flu was nothing. it repeated again. jongin immediately felt guilty, and thank god he's not depressed. things became even more awkward, and yejung got angry at him more. honestly, she didn't want to come to london and live with jongin. but it's her only choice. if she teleports to another place, he will know anyway. they don't really talk inside their flat, when they work, etc. yejung would half-heartedly make meals for him, leave the flat, come back home, and sleep. they share the same room, but she had put a curtain between their bed. jongin did what he did back in the institute; he went to yejung's bed at night and go back to his early in the morning. basically, their current relationship is awkward.

++ for the incidents/events that will change their bond; i think i should leave it to you ^^
