Okay, so we're here. I have decided to post a blog on how I started and still finishing my debut fan fiction called Impulse. To all of the people who supported me throughout this journey, God Bless you and I love you so much. If it is not because of you, I wouldn't take the courage to publish the 89 chapters filled with insanity, ideas, emotions, creativity, inspirations and real life events. It maybe a fantasy and alternate universe-based story, but I would reclaim that Chanyeol's part is happening in real life, also Kris.

We may be keep on moving or staying at the place where we grew up, but memories is always tend to grow or disappear. Kris' part is dedicated to my first and last childhood friend that had forgotten me a long time ago. We don't see rather meet in public places anymore, we bath together, ate together and slept with each other before. She's a woman now, a person who is going through her own personal battles. 

Blessed's character in the figure of one and only IU came from my dream. I used to read in cliché' and random work, it is very rare for me to finish a story in one sitting. She was the girl who appeared in my dream years ago. She was beautiful, powerful and different, but not all heroine are always fortunate. That night full of drowsiness in the middle of the storm, I saw the sky in assorted colors that cannot be seen in real life. She stood right in front of me and strange phenomenon occurred. From the moment that I woke up, I couldn't stop thinking about it anymore. 

I have chosen IU as my protagonist because fantasy and romance theme perfectly fits on her. I watched her MVs like You and I and Red Shoes. I became her fan although I don't know all of her songs. She is also not the typical person you would pick for a reverse harem. Oh yes Impulse is a reverse harem and I am proudly admitting my sin. Also it had several elements of different types of affection. To mention, it had Agape, Philia and . To reveal the bases and origins of the characters' descriptions, I'll start from the bottom to the top. There will be spoilers so don't read if you haven't finished the story, okay? 

 

Chaerin - a very sister figure here. It might be the truth she held from the majority gave one of the surprises in the story. No words here. 

Luhan - I couldn't recall it well but If I'm not mistaken, he had a piece of Ukyo (Amnesia) in him. A man who manipulated everything the Blessed's life to get her back. He was her long lost lover who suddenly disappeared in the unexpected timing. He did his best, he built a new world where he would be able to meet the girl once again. But in the end, the hourglass had ran out of sand and it was too late. It wasn't a very great ending for him but I think I was able to give him justice. Oh I suddenly remembered the birthday scene...

Kris - like I said earlier, his behavior is based upon me. Rollo (Code Geass) was the origin but the bright side. He's been always there since Blessed woke up in the World of Exo. The eye, the guardian was his figure. Also there's a drop of Tamahome (Fushigi Yuugi) okay pardon for watching too much anime because I can't remember people in the books. The big brother who was always there for his siblings, the one who will protect them with all of his might. I know his arc is very short compared to Sehun's and Baekhyun's.

Baekhyun - oh yeah the Viscount of Light City. He is deeply based from Allen Walker (D-Gray Man) and Ciel Phantomhive ( Black Butler). The young man who was abandoned at the very early stage of his life, even his one and only sister neglected him. With his eyes and usual looks, he was given the nickname Eyeliner. Well, it's even valid in real life. The building of his character began when he wore the famous Burgundy Makeup. I know I am meditating so much about his looks, but that put him for being the classy yet lonely person there. The three servants (Boa, Luna, Taeyeon) represents Drocell Keinz, they are always following orders without a single complain. 

D.O - he was inspired from Lag (Letter Bee) a child who was sent into a journey that he doesn't knew well. Also a little of Suzaku Kururugi (Code Geass) for being the person who never denied Kai. He had a sharp side, but he is also tender and thoughtful. I know his story is a kind of heartbreaking, but he was one of the greatest characters that I've ever had. From a selfish and grumpy, he became the best person he was. 

Trivia: Also Blessed's journey occurred in the time of Victorian-Era with the mix of complex Steampunk and Lolita in the fashion. If you bother to imagine the outfits, basically they are always in suits, dresses, plain buttoned-up shirts and boots. 

Suho - nothing really but I never rushed his parts. He is person who didn't spoke without a value, his words are always golden. He wasn't able to get close with Blessed but he was always there beside her. Always keeping an eye and believing, we all had that persona inside of us, right? He may not be deeper as Sehun's or Luhan's or Chen's but he wasn't useless. None of the characters in Impulse was just for a decoration or audience. Suho resembles my brother, we were not close but he is always caring about me. We often talk to each other but once someone picks a fight for me, he wouldn't hesitate to defend me. 

Chanyeol - blame the person who showed me the DVD of Yosuga no Sora. At first, I wasn't planning of putting the most odd element and type of love in is arc. But it wouldn't be interesting if it is just plain as sugar. Life is not always beautiful, it will surely had the ugly side. The side that will never be revealed into anyone, not even the closest person. Like the fire, Chanyeol became unpredictable and the one who gave me a hard time writing his chapters. Though I took time to decide, I enjoyed the moment I wrote it even though I kept hiding my materials for it. I know it's weird, but who wouldn't love him here? I mean he had the softest heart and humble attitude! 

Suzy - definitely Madam Red (Black Butler again) the lady who fought against her will despite of the terrible consequences. She was real at first, but her colors tainted with darkness when she was forced to carry out a command from the Highness. In the end, she died in vanity, I know it's sad. 

 

Just a sharing! 

When the latest teasers of Exo for the Exodus were released, I was actually shocked on how SM's untold plot was accurate with Impulse. The burning forest were Chanyeol burned the community, the moment that Kai was running away from people and hiding like the way he used to be in here. The part that D.O was always indoors and never came out gave me a lots of chills. I don't know if someone from the company found AFF or what, but I am happy. Even the dark veins of Sehun is the MV of Yo and one of Kai's outfit in SM Town live, even his MV remake of Summer in 902014 surprised me. He was also a pilgrim there, the only the difference is he is friendly but in Impulse he is frank and short-tempered. 

I couldn't stop laughing at myself when I saw Chanyeol and Suzy standing next to each other. Oh dear, what a coincidences.

Kai - the side of me that never dies. I was never satisfied with all my accomplishments. Pretty greedy right? That's why I never let that side of me came out, I don't know if I am a perfectionist. The faithful and honest friend, but sometime annoying and aggressive. I had no clear inspiration of him, but his origin is from my mindsets. I maybe silent but some of my actions are unstoppable and unpredictable. I also liked to tease people before, now I have stopped. Anyone noticed on how I am freaking shipping KaiSoo? 

Lay - he resembled snow. He was forgetful but pure and genuine. He is calm and careful with his actions and words. Based upon of him in reality, always spacing out when tired. But once he woke up, a booming personality that you can't resist will come out. The kindest character in the story, he never picked fights or thought or himself. He was the mother figure among the twelve guardians, he is friend that everyone else wanted to have. 

Tao - he may be annoying and reckless at all, but he was similar to Kai too. With his powers that he can't just wield easily, he bears the heaviest responsibility among everyone. A few inspiration from Hakuryu (Magi) and Dera (Tamako Market), he became the wittiest person there, but once the battle begins the anticipating side of him unleashes! He maybe the initiator of trouble sometimes but he is unique and absolutely loved by everyone.

 

Chen - my friend said make him the ultimate NTR and be caught in a love web. That's just a joke, but it went out to be written. He represents the friend zone victims (chuckles like an idiot). No words for him, better read and read his arc.

Xiumin - okay who watched the recent Akatsuki no Yona? Ever noticed that every reverse harem they always had a royalty? Impulse won't be completed without the young-looking and a legitimate member of the Highness. One of my most favorite character, he is funny sometimes but loves Blessed without a condition. He may be the NTR victim no. 2, but he is one of the essential parts of the story. Along with his soft features and light behavior, he also had the roaring side inside. His inspiration is from various characters in shoujo manga, but the most that taken half is Habaek (The Bride of Water God-Manhwa). He is kind and understanding, but he is an obsessive lover too. He is not dangerous as-, so don't be afraid of his cuteness.

Sehun - the heaviest character that I've ever built is him. Am I the only one here sees him as a very angsty person although he is dork off stage? He is inspired from Gasai Yuno (Future Diary) and Toma (Amnesia), also Mikoshiba Shouta (Dolls-Manga). The prince who rejected the crown and had chosen to be a knight guard. Him and Tao's work wasn't shallow as it is. The huge secret that they were hiding from everyone is they were actually assassins that executes the runaway and underground list of criminals including Blessed.

Mera - I prefer to keep it a secret because I promised the person, but she inspired from several sources too. 

 

Conclusion:

All in all Impulse is the mix of different genres, ideas and inspirations. Some chapters were even from songs and metaphors. I was a former writer in Wattpad and I eventually quit because I was finding something. Last year, I have decided to improve one of the areas in my life and that was literature. Although I am aware that everything here in AFF is based upon K-Idols, I took to opportunity to learn more. Since when I found KPop and read several fan fictions, the buried ability of mind was unlocked. I never expected of receiving booming subs and compliments from people. I am really thankful. KPop is the bridge towards the real me. I don't have much friends but with the thing that became part of their lives, I realized that I wasn't alone.
