BACKGROUND:
Born on the 7th of December, Xiu Zhi was born in the winter season in Beijing China. She only spent 3 of her childhood years in China. Her father, being in an IT Company, got recommended to transfer to the company's Korean branch. Because of that. Xiu Zhi and her family moved to Korea when she was just 3 years young. Since she was still young, she didn't have to say goodbye to friends back in China because she didn't have any yet. Growing up and studying in Korea, her Korean is pretty fluent. But she still talks to her family in Chinese. Sometimes she forgets some Chinese words, so she just tells them in Korean.
At the age of 6, she met her future best friend, Min Seo Li. They attended the same school and their classes were always the same. The two of them never kept secrets form each other and they got along well. She made another best friend the following year. His name is Duncan Lim, and he's Chinese as well. He acts like her brother but sometimes it may look as if he's intersted in her when he's not.
In the midst of her education years, when she was in 6th grade, a certain guy seemed to turn her whole life around. Xiu Zhi was at a café buying her favorite Chocolate Cream Chip Cappuccino when he spilled coffee on her. Being a short-tempered girl, she got angry at him a whole lot. He was a nice guy, but to strangers, he's not, so he gave her a small smirk and walked away, not saying a small apology. Things became worse when she found out that her father knew his father. When Zhong Ming had a company dinner scheduled, he decided to bring his family along. During that company dinner, the two of them met again. Her dad and his were talking about work while their moms were talking about girl stuff and their children. When Xiu Zhi asked for his name with a really annoyed aura, he refused to tell her. The two of them made a scene and gained attention. The guy's parents were extremely offended when Xiu Zhi stated that their son was rude and a devil. While her parents also got offended when he stated that she had no beauty and that she'd forever be a girl he'd hate. Since then, the two families hated each other.
Everything was ruined when he became her neighbour and when the two of them started attending the same high school. Seo Li and Duncan were both trying to make her forget about that annoying guy. On that same day, she met the guy of her dreams. He was as nice as an angel. Seo Li pushed her to him but when the two met, he treated her coldly. Xiu Zhi became devastated at first but how could she possibly stay sad about her crush when someone else in her mind was bothering her. Seo Li and her hang out in some places to help her ease her... mental self.

When he saw her angry face, his insides were going crazy. He found her reaction funny and cute. Giving her a smirk, he walked away without even apologizing.
RELATIONSHIP: He likes to treat Xiu Zhi coldly. It makes her hate him more. The main reason behind his insults and all that was just because he wanted her attention. Weird, but true. Sometimes, he embarrasses her like he's a bully in the hallway and sometimes he would purposely steal her chances of answering the teacher's question or something else. When Aloysius found out about her crush on Hong Boon, he did his best to make her feel shy and embarrassed in front of him. Also because he felt that Hong Boon didn't deserve Xiu Zhi's love. When she stated that she would hate him forever and that no one would like him, he changed. Aloysius protected her from the guys who wanted to take advantage of her. But he didn't want to ruin his image immediately, so he still gave her his cold look. Aloysius can't stand the sight of her feeling sad, so he'd annoy her. Instead of seeing her sad face, he sees her annoyed face. That's better than a girl feeling depressed. Xiu Zhi would never have found out Aloysius's game if Duncan never decided to befriend Aloysius.
