You know how you go on Wikipedia to look up one thing, and you inevitably end up clicking on other links until you end up somewhere else entirely?

I was trying to look up religion in the Joseon dynasty, and I ended up reading about 20 different princes and princesses, three kings, four queens, an anrticle on Hanbok, another on Korean Buddhism, another on the difference between totles for the royal family, and I ended up reading about all 4 living members of the Yi line. I read those articles twice over because I was so darn confused about the succession--which doesn't even matter because South Korea is not a monarchy anymore!!

And I've never been a fan of historical dramas, the farthest I ever went was watching Goong (which is one of my all time favorite dramas), and after reading all of this I have to say, I'm really really REALLY not interested in period dramas. Seems like a lot of familial execution, "the good die young," and 11 consorts per King...I have no idea how I would follow along, really.
