"Welcome, Officer Kim."

"Thank you." The officer smiled and accepted the handshake with Mr Hwang, the senior officer at Seoul Police Station.

"We're glad that you are willing to come and help us with the case. We heard you're the best, we hope that you will be a great help."

"Oh, don't worry. The culprit won't be free for so long now." The officer then looked at the young cop beside Mr Hwang.

"Oh, and this is Jeno. My junior, and he's uhh, well a hard worker." Mr Hwang laughed.

"Do you not mind if you will be joining me a lot, going out and try to catch the culprit? It's going to be a lot of work though." Officer Kim talked to the junior.

"Yes, I don't mind. Please, I really want to catch the culprit. Mr... uh-"

"Drop the formality. Just call me Kai. I like to be comfortable while doing my job, that way, less pressure for us." Kai smiled.

"Okay, Kai."

"Good. Now, I want to check all of the area that the incidents took place." 

.....

"ARGHH!!"

Winter smirked and pressed the heels of her boot more onto the wound on the guy's stomach.

"You didn't think that I saw you, huh?" Winter asked and applied more pressure causing him to scream louder, painfully.

"When a girl tried to have fun, you don't ever try to ruin the moment. This is why, you're in pain now." Winter said and finally pulled away before squatting down, looking at the scared guy dead in the eye.

"If you try to touch her or even bother her again, I'll break your arm. Do you hear me, hm?" Winter asked in a soft whisper, but it scares the guy even more.

Winter reached out her hand to caress his hair while smiling widely at him, she looks creepy to him and his lips were trembling. He bowed his head and refused to look at Winter while nodding his head.

"Not a word about this to anyone, or you can find out what will happen to you next. So, can I trust you to keep quiet?"

"Y-Yes."

"Good."

Winter then took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and took one stick before putting it in his mouth and lit it for him using her lighter.

"There, enjoy the cigarette. Remember, if you say even a word to anyone, it won't be this cigarette that I would lit, but your tongue. You don't want that, right?"

The guy immediately shook his head and Winter hummed as she stood up. She left the guy there, went back inside the club and looked at Karina who were having a drink at the bar. She leaned her back against the wall and pretended to be so interested in some of the girls who passed by, while making sure that Karina is safe.

"The things that I would do for you." Winter mumbled to herself.

She has never been this obsessed with someone. No, she never cares about anyone before Karina. Her parents died in a car accident, her grandmother died of a heart attack and her only cousin died when he got robbed by a drunk man who stabbed him in his chest. Her life was so pitiful that she wanted to just die too. Well, that was until she met Karina. The first time she saw her smile, Winter found a reason to keep going. The first time she feels happy after losing everyone she loves, she found a new reason to live. Karina makes her want to do anything for her, to make sure she'll live well so she will continue to live too. 

Because to Winter, there will be no life if there's no Karina. That's how deep she is into her. And she promised herself that she won't be losing any more person that she has come to love. She will fight anything and anyone who dares to take away her happiness. She is going to do whatever it takes, to make sure that Karina is protected.

Is she crazy? Does that make her a mad woman? She does not care. Nothing else matters to her except for Karina.
