Chapter 22: "An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away"

The Billionaire's Girl

Ahn Hee's POV.

It's always been 'Mondays' when I have to feel myself lethargic, to slumber on my sheets and to think about nothing was all I ever wanted.

But since that last night I had with Chanyeol, I never had much sleep and all I could ever think about is him. Was it bad for me to feel that I'm bound to be one of the luckiest being to be living with one of my biggest dreams? I know I shouldn't hope for more, but what had happened between us back then and until now, I'm beyond thankful and happy because I got the chance to meet my 'dream guy'.

I came to school a bit earlier than I thought since I couldn't sleep and all. I left Sehun for good and I know if he wakes up, he might be madly looking for me.

"Oh my gosh, this is going to be fun! We better come girls!" I heard the girl squeal in excitement as I passed by the hallway. "I'm going to wear my best outfit on that night, might as well, to catch Jongin's attention!" "Oh yeah, I better make sure Jungkook's going back to me now,"

The girls were battling voices and all, hearing the name of Jongin and Jungkook just made me stop in front of them. Eyes were on me as they glared at me instantly, wondering why did I stop suddenly infront of them. "What are you looking at huh, miss low class?" They crossed their arms, raising their brows on me.

I gulped before I speak. And what did they just call me? "Excuse me?" I needle a question.

The girls dazed on my sudden brawl. "Being with the elites doesn't mean you have to act like them too, miss low class. Know where to place yourself," "And please, do you think you can mess with us?" "Just drop out freak!"

My ears were flickering with those assaults against me, why on earth are they trying to get under my skin? Are these another of Winter, Summer and Spring's squad? Speaking off which, clicking heels were heard as the three of them butted in the conversation.

Great. I'm surrounded with the brat youngsters. I'm pushing myself to speak since I couldn't let these girls step on my ego and what's more is that, what did I do wrong for them to hate me that much?

"Well well well, what do we have here girls?" Winter hissed, eyeing on me. "Oh my, what a pleasant surprise we have here. Never seen you these past few days and we thought you've already dropped out. But--"

"But? Excuse me Winter, did I told you to watch out for me every time? Oh dear, you must have missed me a lot. Don't you?" I spoke up with confidence. I don't care messing with these brats anymore.

"Yes," she nods, faking a smile taking few steps closer to me. "And when I miss someone I actually do this--" she gritted like a cat fit raising her hand to slap my face, when an object was thrown in a speed of light passing in between us two.

Everyone was put to hold, taking a look on the object that almost hit Winter and I's faces. The object rolled after it hit directly on the wall, rolling on my feet. It was an apple.

"Dude you see that, the apple passed the mighty challenge! It didn't break!"

All of us craned our necks to look at Jongin who was expressing his self-praise to Yifan and Tao who was holding a basket of fruits.

"Well, but you still at playing darts. You can't win over Jungkook's place," Yifan hissed. "Says who at billiards." Tao scoffs.

As the three were mocking around with each other, the other girls seemed dumbfounded as they can't help but to-- again, admire the elites. On the other side, Winter looked back at me with her furious eyes. "I wish the apple had hit you out of this school,"

"I wish the apple had hit your crazy head," I snarl, taking a look on her clenching fists that I was about to receive when Jongin hollered out my name.

"Hey Ahn Hee-yah, mind to skip class?"

I craned my neck to look back at them, brows twitching in confusion. Why would they want to skip class again? "Come on! We're so tired with algebra lately, I bet you need rest too. Right?" When all of a sudden, Jongin heaves a deep sigh and came as he drags me out of the scene. Leaving Winter and the other girls mad as a hatter.

Meanwhile. Soccerfield.

"I'm really sorry Ahn Hee-yah, I'm so stupid I almost hit you." Jongin frowns, still holding my wrist as I was clueless to where they would be taking me right now, it's past seven in the morning. Obviously, we skipped class again.

"What were you thinking Jongin? You've wasted a piece of fruit for your childish acts? Do you know how many days it would take for the fruits to be harvested?" I pop him a question gently.

Jongin ruffles his hair, biting his lip with a sudden blush formed on his cheeks. "You got me on that huh,"

"Blushing doesn't look good on you Jongin," Yifan entwine a mock, taking a bite of his apple. "And eating that apple doesn't make you a healthy person right now, Yifan." Tao perturb another mock on Yifan, that made the two start a tension again.

I can't help but to laugh, "Oh please guys, will you please shut up?" Jongin chasten between the two.

As soon as we reached the fields, it was sunny yet I saw the cutie councils running in circles for a jog. Baekhyun and Taehyung did saw me immediately as the two waved their hands imediately while still running. I waved my hand back, smiling on them.

"Yah, why took you guys so long to kidnap that girl?" Jungkook hollers from the side, I didn't even noticed him.

My lips formed into a smile when I saw him and Jimin seated under the shade of the tree, sitting on the grass like they were having a picnic right now.

"Dang bro, chicks were chirping so loud this morning." Yifan utter exaggerately as they settled themselves on the ground. Jungkook taps his side, gesturing that I should sit beside him. "If you just saw how Jongin throws the apple that almost hit Winter and--"

Jungkook hissed, "And who?"

Tao quickly nudge Yifan's elbow, sending a glare on him. While Jongin, well, I can feel his tensions right now. I know I was the one who was almost got hit by it. "I mean--" These guys.

I shook my head, hiding a smile. "Hey," I butted in, "You know, if you guys wanted to grab a picnic, you could have done that by weekends. Not during class hours. You know, we already missed our algebra class."

"Ahn Hee, this is for your own good," Jimin responded, my brows twitched in confusion. "For my own good?" I asked, pointing myself.

"Yeah," he nodded. "You see, you've been getting yourself sick most of the time."

"So what does skipping class has something to do with me, getting sick?" Seriously? Were they talking about me, getting sick the last time? Ugh, Sehun. I wasn't.

"You always get sick, you look pale, sometimes irritated or maybe it's just your way. But that counts," Jongin responded.

"So for us who cares so much more than Jungkook does we thought of bringing you here for a moment." Yifan added, handling me a piece of apple right after he cleans it with a piece of cloth.

Jungkook hissed, "Yah--"

I snicker a smile as I reach out for the apple. "We thought this all for you, as they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away!" Tao beams like a kid. "So be healthy, Ahn Hee-yah," Jimin mumbled, ruffling my hair.

Never thought that these guys weren't just a pain in the , but they have the heart of someone whom you weren't expecting off. "Th-thank you so much, I--" I stuttered, but Jungkook trailed me off.

"Hey, stop with the formalities. We're your fr-- friends right?" Jungkook flap in between his sentence, then he took a piece of banana. The other guys choked, mumbling words which I couldn't get the hang of.

Yet I smiled, hearing them with such words like this made me feel like I'm blessed to be part of them. But flashback of what had happened earlier made me reckon twice, do I really fit myself with these kind of people? "I-- I just hope that I'm not a burden being one of the elites, when I'm not supposedly should be part of."

"What are you saying Ahn Hee-yah!" they growled, brows twitched in daze, confused and equally curious. Their glare send me shivers, I instantly shook myself. "No-- I mean, hey does this apple safe to eat?" I grin, trying to snap them from their deep intriguing look.

"Ofcourse," Jungkook responded a little, I craned my neck to look at him. Just when I knew, our faces were inches close to each other. My eyes rounded in bewilder, seeing him this close.. What am I thinking? "Don't think we're witches here, Snow White." he mumbles, blinking his left eye.

I was taken a back, looking away. I felt a little blush on my cheek as I start to concentrate on my apple. "Snow White huh?" Jimin smiles. "And you're the dwarf," Jongin scoffs then all of them laughs except me and Jimin. "Ha-Ha, funny. So funny I could die--" Jimin rolls his eyes.

"Anyway, I'm having a party," Tao said. "And you're coming."

It took me a few seconds to realize what he was trying to say and when Tao's words finally sunk in, remembering what the girls were talking about earlier, I let out some kind of startled question. "You're what? I'm what?"

"A party," he said again, "You must have heard of one of those, right?"

I scowled at him. "I know what it is. I just don't understand why I'm being invited to one, I'm not exactly much of a party girl." And I don't think I could fit myself there.

To say  I wasn't much of a party girl was putting it lightly. For one thing, I hated crowded spaces and loud music. Those kinds were making me feel uneasy and claustrophobic. I also hated the idea of so many sweaty teenage bodies pressed against each other, drinking, dancing, hooking up with random people and completely unaware of how much they would probably regret their poor decisions the next morning.

"So that means you haven't gone into parties?" Yifan asked in amusement. I nodded. "Woah, that's so-- old fashioned."

Jongin snicker an insulting laugh. Was it really an old fashioned? I felt incredibly out of place right now, do I? "Stay at home and read a book were your routine as teenage gal? What are you, my grandmother?" Jongin snorted.

"Oh, so now you speak?" I said, scowling back at Jongin. "And no, I'm just a girl who doesn't find the idea of going to a party and getting drunk."

"But, don't you want to see what it's like? To go to a real party?"

I stared at Jongin, taken aback by the longing tone of his voice. I suddenly found myself feeling bad for insisting that I didn't want to go to Tao's party. I'm sure I'm not having most of the 'normal teen experiences' that everybody seemed to be talking about.

"Look, if Ahn Hee doesn't want to go then don't force her." Jungkook said, breaking me out of my thoughts. I felt good about it for saving me from these pushcarts infront of me. "And she's right, you can't force a grandmother to some teenage parties,"

When all of a sudden all of them break out a laugh, I was insulted by it as I punch Jungkook's arm. "Yah, stop it. I'm not a grandma,"

"So then you're coming?" Tao asked, and I have no choice but to shrug. "I'm not sure if I want to go."

"Well, there is less than a week for you to decide. And that decision better be yes," Yifan added.

I chewed my bottom lip hesitantly. On one hand, Jimin remained silent as he just kept on smiling and I don't know what was he thinking right now.

"Come on Ahn Hee, it'll be fun!" Yifan insisted like a demon right now.

"Do I have to drink?" I asked uncertainly.

"No," Yifan responded.

"Do I have to dance?"

"No, not if you don't want to," Jongin shook his head.

"Do I have to snort ?"

When all of a sudden, they burst into laugh. Yifan and Jongin rolled in the grass, Tao chokes himself with the apple he's eating, Jimin stared at me shooking his head while laughing and Jungkook face palmed himself.

"What's so funny?" I asked, in deep confusion.

"Firstly," Jimin chuckled. "You can't snort pot. You smoke pot. And second, no, you don't have to do anything you don't want to."

"Fine," I said, rolling my eyes. "I guess I can come,"

"Don't worry," Yifan tries to catch his breath, still laughing. "We're going to fetch you on Saturday night!"

Meanwhile. Afternoon. Planning and Designing Class. Elites Class.

The next few hours passed by in a blur, it's the planning and designing class. Yet, these guys can't move on as they keep on smiling and laughing about our conversation awhile ago. I didn't know it was funny enough for them to burst and couldn't control themselves not to laugh even when in class.

As far as I know, snorting is also a part when you have to go and attend parties. Sehun did mentioned me about that, so he reprimand me not to go to parties. And again, I can only drink when I'm with him. Now what? How am I suppose to escape on that Saturday night? Am I suppose to tell him and be my chaperon?

Our professor assigned us another project to be submitted by Friday, 4 days from now. I didn't get much of the details about it, since I felt sleepy all of a sudden and I couldn't help but to snicker a nap on my desk.

When all of a sudden my phone rings, I answered without looking at the call log. "Yobeoseyo?" I lowered my head to answer the call.

"Yah, what's with that low tone?" A guy's voice came. It's quite familiar though.

"Who's this?" I asked, still keeping my voice low.

"Yeobo."

"Yeobo?" My brows twitched in confusion. Who would have called me yeobo, just when it gradually sinked in, "Cha-chanyeol?!" I stuttered, looking at the log. "Why?"

"What why? Is it a bad timing for me call you right now?" his voice was deeper than I thought.

"N-no, wait hold up," I quickly rushed out of the room as I didn't know with myself why did I do that? "I'm sorry, I was in class."

"Oh really? I'm sorry. It must be really a bad timing. I'll just call you later,"

"No- I, I mean, it's okay. You've saved me from a boring lecture," I stuttered again, I can feel my heart raising as my cheeks started to fire up. Why would he have called me at this kind of hour? I tried to hold, slapping my inner self not to panic. "So, why did you call Mr. Park?"

"Uh--" he stopped in between. "I just- I want to know if you're okay?"

I was chewing my bottom lip, when I started to chuckle. "Ofcourse I am," What? Did he just called to ask if I'm okay?

"Oh, that's great," he beamed. We became silent for a few seconds, I didn't know what to say either, I don't know what should I ask. I don't want to end the call either. "So--" we chorused. "Oh, you go first," I said, as I laughed. "No, you go--"

"No, ladies first." Chanyeol chuckled on the line and I couldn't help but to blush even more. Why is this feeling.. ugh, can't help it. But what am I going to tell him?

"Uh, Chanyeol, are you--" I was suddenly cut off, when the call was ended.

Meanwhile. Swiss Perseus Airtel Building. Third Person's POV.

Monday strikes again for the richest bachelor, he was lazy enough to work and again handle his two businesses that were going too well even more recently. But there was one thing he doesn't know, or might be he didn't have much thought of it. The business in Ulleungdo, by his father, Mr. Park Hwang-In.

The Caerus Online Systems Corporation the leading IT & Gaming Industry, which Kim Namjoon the CEO and the President has already teamed up with the Swiss Perseus Airtel. Which means, the settled business of Ms. Kim and Ms. Choi, Namjoon's sister has already settled the upcoming business in Ulleungdo Island. Since it was an agreement between the two companies, Chanyeol as the one who've managed it, forgot to cancel the agreement since it was the reason that Mr. Park Hwang-In's major anger and hatred towards him, plus mistrust.

But before he would have knew about that, the day seemed quite carefree as Chanyeol's smile wouldn't flee away since this morning.

"Do what it takes to discharge him as soon as possible, clean his records and send him back to Seoul within this week. I don't care who's that faultfinder, pay him triple the amount." Chanyeol commanded through his call, impatienty. "And, please, feed him and ask what he wants."

Just then he ended the call. The truth was, Chanyeol hired his investigator to discharge Ahn Hee's father a week ago. It was said that it was hard for Mr. Geonwoo, to be released since the complainer was the owner of the flea market of Busan. Which was Mr. Geonwoo is working at, as a fisherman and an exporter. But since Mr. Geonwoo was wrongly accused of defraud by stealing of goods, he was sent to jail for 30 years. But he didn't told the truth to his family.

And now that Chanyeol has found out about it, he didn't hesitate to investigate about Mr. Geonwoo's case as he wanted the poor girl's father to be discharged and be with his family as soon as possible.

He heaves a deep sigh, smiling as he started to scroll in his contacts. Chanyeol was so hesitant to call Ahn Hee, he wanted to hear the girl's voice or was he wanted to see her? He fought his courage to call her, just when he heard Ahe Hee's voice. He became stiff as keep on gulping his throat to speak.

"What's with that low tone?" he asked, he wanted to slap himself for asking that stupid question. He would have thought of asking if she's okay or what is she doing right now. But what can he do? That were the words which spill already out of his mouth.

"Who's this?" the girl asked hesitantly. The bachelor's brows twitched in confusion. How come she doesn't know he was the one who called? Didn't she saved his number? Chanyeol smiled a little, thinking of something hilarious. Might as well, tricking out the girl.

"Yeobo." he said with a powerful smile on his face. But out of his thought, Ahn Hee stuttered in between her words. Gradually sinking up, who's Yeobo. But before Chanyeol would even fired up since the girl was so clueless, Ahn Hee freaked out on line.

He bit his lip wondering if he had called her in a bad time. Right after he knew that Ahn Hee was on her class, Chanyeol face palmed himself for not knowing what day and time it is. Ofcourse, she's at school. Not like him, who's holding his time all throughout.

Then he was spacing out as he don't know what to ask or say.

Just when his other cellular phone beeped. He reached out to read the message from Jongdae, still on the line with Ahn Hee. Just when he read the message, his eyes rounded in shock as he found himself leaving out his office ending up the call.
